Hello everyone! So, I'm back. Life can be unexpected sometimes. I dropped this site in the midst of a severe bout with clinical depression. I lost all motivation to write for a time, and then became busy with other things.
I'm married now, just got settled in to a new home with my new wife in a new town and I'll be starting a new job soon. It's almost like being reborn. In the midst of all this I've discovered I really want to write again. In fact, I've finally begun work on my first novel (in which our old friend Falkan Reval does in fact significantly feature - really he was a part of that story before I ever brought him here). That process has reminded me of how much inspiration I gained from the company of other gifted writers.
So I'm back. Of course I'll understand if my position as moderator were to be revoked - it's not like I've done anything to merit it. Truthfully I may be more productive as a simple member anyway. I see there's a lot to catch up on as the place seems to be in the midst of a relaunch. So, if you all will have me, I'd like to be a part of it.

Mate!
It’s great to hear from you man! SERIOUSLY.
Congratulations on all of your news man, especially to you and your new wife. I know you were going through a rough patch a little while ago, I’m really glad you’ve managed to push through it – if you’re wife had anything to do with it, which I imagine she did, then I owe her thanks.
A novel you say? I know most of us on these writing type sites usually aspire to write a novel at some point (myself included) so I’m really excited to hear you’re perusing that and getting the ball rolling; can’t wait to read it.
I’d love to have you onboard here Matt. You’re an excellent writer with amazing ideas, not to mention you were part of the team that made Secrets of Noria what it is now. I hope you stay and help us make this place active again. And if you’d prefer to put forward your ideas from the sideline as a normal member then that’s completely fine.

a-ha. My dear friends, things are in the works behind the scenes as we speak! So fear not, we should have some results to post up within a week or so. I shall be posting up the new format of the Application form in the next day or so, so filling that in for all your characters that you have should help fill in some time until we can reveal our grand scheme! Stay tuned on the site.

Cool. So, when revamping our profiles to transfer to FH, do we get to keep all of our earned abilities and such, or do we need to trim it down as if it were a new FH character?

That's something we've not touched upon actually.
What i'd suggest is just keeping the abilities for now and i'll speak to the guys over there to see what they think. Worst comes to worst and you may have to strip a few abilities here and there.
However, the good thing about this merger is that a lot of systems have been co-revamped. You no longer need credits for abilities but rather you earn new techniques/abilities via developing them IC. So anything you do lose, if you do lose anything at all that is, can be re-earned very simply.
