Character Information:
Character's Name: Angra Mainyu, but believes himself to be Jimmy Claymore, uses the alias John Barton in the interests of discretion.
Character Race:
Tricky… He appears Dragonian, most similar to a Leiversian, but this is only his physical body, his soul is an ancient creature that allows him to transform into ‘Demon’ states. So, his main race would probably be Leiversian/Demon.
Gender: Male
Hair Color/Style: A mess of brown hair
Eye Color: Normally brown but turns red when his powers are active and a plain disc in his full-form.
Age: 22 physically
Height: 6 ft 1
Weight: 13 stone
Aura Color:
Fluctuates, it’s normally black and vaguely mist like since it’s… y’know, EVIL. But can turn into a blazing crimson in application.
Attire:
Jimmy will always wear his father’s old leather jacket when given a choice, battered and old, it’s survived an incredibly long time considering all it’s been through. Apart from this he’s one for simplicity, jeans and a t-shirt, normally a plain black one, with silver style rings or pendants. He doesn’t dress all that effectively for combat and has ripped clothes on occasion as a result.
Other Physical Features:
Jimmy’s not bad looking, although one would be hard pressed to call him ‘sexy’, he emanates a wholesome kind of charm that is, of course, entirely false. He’s reasonably well built, gaining some muscle since his youth and perpetually has a patch of stubble somewhere on his face or neck where he forgot to shave. His eyes are the one big give-away, even when they aren’t glowing red, they have an aura to them that he’s seen things. It’s why he tends to avoid eye-contact whenever possible.
Abilities:
Race Abilities:
Activation- Not exactly an ability but worth noting, Jimmy spends most of his time concealed as an ordinary person and unless he ‘activates’ his power, it is impossible to sense but means he must act like an ordinary person, which suits him just fine. His eyes are the indicator of this, turning red when his power is activated.
Sense Dark Energy- Another passive one, an extension of his enhanced senses, anything evil within a certain radius and of a certain power is known to him. He has a small problem with scales though.
Resistance: This’d be why he’s similar to a Leiversian, though the source is somewhat different…
Class I:
-Enhanced Senses
-Enhanced Speed
-Enhanced Strength
-Enhanced Stamina
-Weapon Specialization: Katana
Class II:
Demon Form/Ahriman- Jimmy’s main fighting form, while it’s weaker than his original demon transformation he can use it with much greater freedom and less strain on his psyche. The process looks easier too, his hair stands on end and bleaches a pale yellow while a wave passes under his skin, and covers him turning his skin white and sharpening his eyes, fingers and teeth. The process takes seconds now but the end result looks so different from before that Jimmy now uses it as a means of disguise (he’s even got a superhero alter-ego going on because his face looks so different). Marks on his fore-head show the absence of his former horns but his power remains impressively high. The main features of his Demon Form are the claws he develops on his fingers which are razor sharp and able to carve through steel with relative ease (excluding magical steel of course) and his high movement speed, able to move in blurs for short periods of time. The downsides are his weakness to holy elements (i.e. a bible verse) but his Dark Energy allows him to shield himself to some extent and that it requires concentration to maintain (similar to tensing your entire body). This form is also able to ‘float’ somewhat making flight possible as well as having greatly increased strength (approximately tripled) and regeneration (can heal deep cuts in minutes).
Dark Energy- Jimmy’s facisimile to magic, while it is much harder to use, shape and even control the power it generates makes up for this. He’s able to generate shields, bombs and small spikes out of it but controlling it requires both hands and it’s notoriously slow. The best strategy available to him is to use it to set traps. In his standard form, he’s able to use Dark Energy with relative ease attacking with spikes and bombs, but his Demon Form still has trouble controlling the flow of power. As he is using more evil power it’s very hard to modulate how much energy he uses, which is alright when making a shield and going too far but accidentally exploding yourself is less desirable. It also drains his energy and is easy to sense for anything aware of evil powers.

Personality:
Oh boy, this is complicated. Right, technically, Jimmy Claymore doesn’t exist, he died in childbirth. The thing calling itself Jimmy is the evil god, Angra Mainyu, contained within a vessel of Flesh. The only problem is that Angra was unaware of this and was the main source of his problems as a teenager was that he was so convinced he was a human called Jimmy that he must have been possessed by a demonic spirit unaware that the human side of him was all an illusion he was deluding himself with. Since discovering the truth he now tends to act a bit more confident and calm but still insists on thinking of itself as Jimmy Claymore, denial is more than a river in Egypt it seems. While he is no longer schizophrenic and believes himself to have solved his personality crisis he still has a tendency to have a slight division in his behaviours.
As a normal person, he acts quite pleasant, carefree and over all, happy. He’s polite and well-spoken, but no longer sits and gets worried about others as much. Or at least not to the same level as before, instead he’ll be more proactive and try to solve their problems for them often using measures that he would never have dreamt of before. In battle he’ll be more aggressive and can be… well, downright cruel. The reflections of his true identity dealing some damage to his mind, he now has a tendency to be more vicious in battles and rather than swearing to never kick a man when he’s down with often have already had his foot proudly placed in the man’s jaw. At his very core though he wants to be good, the influence of his ‘mother’ no matter what Angra may believe, he still wants to be the hero even if he knows he can’t be. This is mainly reflected in his personal hatred of demons and angels, believing they interfere with ‘his people’. One things for certain, something as powerful as Angra Mainyu should not be trifled with.
Origins:
This story is one of tragedy, delusion and resolution. The anti-God, Angra Mainyu, believed itself so powerful that the only way it could destroy everything would be to born into the mortal realm, tricked by Loki. His own anti-christ, he used his worshippers to steal the soul of a newborn infant and to inhabit it’s body. The Lords of Hell were only too happy to be rid of him, aiding him in his endeavour and gaining their own footholds in Hell as he was extradited to the mortal plane.
James Steven Claymore, son of Elaine, was always a troubled boy. His childhood was one spent in isolation, his only friends being two girls, both treated him well but neither could say they loved him. It was his mother, constantly there, constantly supporting him that gave Jimmy the strength to try and become a warrior. He managed to impress the villagers with his swordsmanship but tragedy struck his small village, the small display of ability he’d used had revealed his location to certain ‘undesirable elements’. Demons, seeking to enhance their own powers, attacked and tried to murder him killing the others in their path. Jimmy’s horror at this slaughter activated his dormant Dark Energy, transforming him into his True Demon state. He destroyed his attackers but inadvertently destroyed the village itself too. Horrified, Jimmy fled but found himself constantly hounded by memories of his life as Angra Mainyu, unaware that these were memories not an attack from a foreign demon prescence.
While he helped save Dragonia in the past, he was eventually caught by his own mind and with a heart-wrenching scream was pulled into Hell and banished to the pit. While time passed onwards in the mortal realm, Jimmy discovered his own past with the help of a deceased witch who once served him as Angra Mainyu. Knowing did turn out to be half the battle as Jimmy managed to fuse his damaged mind into being both Human and Demon, aware that he was neither one nor the other in entirety. He managed to escape hell, sacrificing a huge amount of energy in the process and returned, weakened, but alive. He saved a young girl from hoodlums using magic (nearly dying in the process when he found himself unable to use Tenryudan or Yami no Senko, his Dark Energy horribly weak) and found himself enlisting to help her father at his dry-cleaning business. While he tries to keep a low-profile, he now hunts demons and other monsters on Noria, seeking to make sure his low-profile STAYS low. His powers are still rusty as a result but it’s not like anyone who knows him is still about… right?
Alliance:
Uhhh, not THAT simple… But Good, or at least, he aspires to be good.
