 During the days of peace, Kairi returns to Destiny Island. Sora departs to Radiant Garden with Aerith, Leon, and Cid to assist them with the sealing of the worlds. Goofy and Donald disappear from Sora's side to go and help back in Disney Castle, while King Mickey and Riku go to Chaser's Territory to solve a new mystery there.
The worlds remain in absolute peace for three years. However, there is a storm on the horizon now. Sora has begun to notice this change, as well as a few beings like Sora. These beings are the chasers that many have seen as a threat. However, in reality, they are a newly formed band of keybladers going to stop the old Xehanort that has been hidden from the world for years. Two of the three seem to be a bit older then Sora and Riku but the leader seems to be the oldest, and may have been discovered by the King and Riku. Xehanort has found a way to completely control the heartless and create his own heartless and to return Kingdom Hearts to its rightful glory.
Yet, there are other keybladers popping up everywhere. A select few have been chosen as well. Kairi has been one of them and has become the Princess of Heart. Many other villains have come back due to this uneven balance of power.
People, like the Organization Members and Maleficent, have started to reappear. However, it seems not all of the Organization Members wish to abandon their leader’s ways to find their own way of gaining a heart. There is much confusion now. Good may turn bad and some bad may turn good. A rumor about the resurrections is a fourteenth member of the organization. Xemnas has kept another female hidden. However, it may just be a rumor. It is mentioned that, in Ansem's report, it says 'To study the Heartless behavior, I picked one out for observation.' Could the fourteenth member have been constructed to his liking?
After years of the worlds, having been resealed, they have suddenly become connected once more. So now, Sora and his comrades, as well as these new Keybladers, must ban together to defeat the heartless again. Nevertheless, the evil forces wish to use some of the weaker keybladers as their own pawns. There will be a battle of keybladers now. Which side will take the worlds?  |  |  |  |
