Character Information:
Character's Name:
Jezeroe, a.k.a. "Jez" to his friends.
Character Race:
Rajoran
[click for image]
Gender: male
Hair Color/Style: Sandy brown, messy, and medium length.
Eye Color: light brown
Age: 17
Height: 4' 4"
Weight: 98 lbs.
Aura Color: none
Attire: As a knight in training, he is often required to wear the uniform common to all cadets, which he despises almost as much as he does the metal-plated wooden practice armor. The black boots are stiff and uncomfortable, the laundry always comes back clean yet smelling stale, and he is forced to fore-go his hat entirely. When he gets the chance, however, he likes to wear his comfortable brown shoes with the patch on right sole, a pair of faded denim overalls, and some kind of long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up to about the elbows, and his favorite brown hat.
Other Physical Features: As a Rajoran, he has retained the features of childhood, and probably will until the bitter end. Despite having nearly reached adulthood, he still looks to be no older than ten, which often brings scoffs and snickers from his fellow cadets. His face is often apathetic or pulled together in a slight frown as if everything around him annoys him. The scar on his left arm is what remains from his first botched attempt to train with a sword during his first year as a cadet.
Abilities:
Race Abilities:
- Indifference
- Alignment: Earth
- Instill: Momentous Slash
Class I:
-Enhanced Strength
-Enhanced Stamina
-Weapon Specialization: Hammer - Jezeroe's weapon of choice, the hammer has no supernatural qualities; however, he designed it himself to be able to withstand crushing blows that would break or shatter most other tools.
-Branch Magic: Knight, Level - Apprentice
Class II:
Earth Bloom Burst - Any form of stone or rock that is smashed in mid-air by Jezeroe's hammer will smash into dozens, if not hundreds, of wickedly-sharp pieces of shrapnel that douse an area in a shotgun-spray.
Brada's Hand: Upheaval - Jezeroe will focus his internal energies into a single downward strike with his hammer. In doing so, he can create a sharp crack to run in a jagged line toward an opponent. Upon reaching his target (maximum range: 100 feet) a large portion of surrounding earth will rise from underneath them and knock them into the air and/or off-balance. This often leaves large chunks of rock strewn about.
Class III:
Other Information:
Personality: Jezeroe has always been a difficult person to get along with. Like the immovable mountains of his homeland, he is stubborn to a fault and will hold his ground even if he doubts his own wisdom. His inflexibility is the defining factor of his personality, because everything else is mild in comparison. He doesn't care about current events, he can't stand meeting new people, he dislikes taking orders for menial tasks, and doing nothing makes him restless and moody. His wandering mind flows from topic to mental topic like a river, but rather than balance out his thick head, it only makes him all the more frustrating. He dodges topics and hedges around straight answers to ensure he isn't held to any sort of promise that might be troublesome to keep.
Why a cadet in the Knighthood then? With no talents other than his skills with a hammer and his inventive imagination, he has taken to the Knights for their retirement plan. It is the only government-funded occupation that pays well enough at the end to allow him to buy his own forge and become his own Master Blacksmith. He couldn't care less about the morals and ideals of the Knights and cadets, the job is merely a means to an end.
This is not to say, however, that he is a slouch when it comes to his training. In tests of physical endurance, he excels near the top of his class, his eye for strategy keeps him out of sticky situations, and his pure strength allows him to take down knights that stand head and shoulders over him. Taunts and insults about his size make no difference to him, mostly because he knows that once they try and prove it, the end up eating those words.
Origins:
Jezeroe was born into a fairly prosperous artisan family that specialized in creating reflective and refractive lenses and prisms of the special crystal that grew deep in the Mothervein. His mother would handle the business, his father, uncle, and cousins worked the minerals with various chipping, grinding, and polishing tools to affect specific changes to the light that was captured hundreds of feet up. From the very beginning as a young boy, he would easily bore while watching his father work and filled his time by taking a small chisel hammer to the bits of broken and leftover crystal. His lack of patience and interest in the family craft caused a rift between he and his family the older he grew, and his cousins often teased him for his lack of finesse. To take out his frustrations, he took up an apprenticeship with a blacksmith. His anger melted away with each pump of the bellows, and his mind would quiet as the Master brought his hammer crashing down upon the steel, iron, and copper.
It was the Master Smith who noticed Jezeroe's unnatural strength for his age, and commented that he would make a fine apprentice to any Smith, but true Master Smiths were forged in the hottest fires, and worked until they could become fine instruments capable of working the metal into the proper shape. With such words in mind, smithing was the only thing Jezeroe ever truly focused on in his life. Each item he polished, he studied carefully to find the proper places to beat the metal into shape. He watched carefully as his Master worked the iron with the finer tools to create gleaming works of art.
However, his apprenticeship was cut short when the Smith mentioned Jezeroe's strength to his parents, who leaped for joy at the thought their once-lost son might be able to redeem the family pride by becoming a knight. Though he wasn't thrilled with the prospect, when he learned of the lives knights who have served their contract lead afterward, he grudgingly agreed.
Alliance: Neutral, but as a cadet, will follow the orders of his superiors.
