Character Information:
Character's Name: Rizuk Ryujin AKA The flame of Dragonia, The Dragon God of Zolan and That utter bastard...
Character Race: Dragon God!- There's always been some ambiguity about what, exactly, Rizuk means when he says this. Is he a God OF Dragons in some pantheon where they respond to his beck and call? Is he a God that is in fact a Dragon and this is where it comes from or he is the major religious deity worshipped exclusively BY Dragons. After several years of pain-staking consideration, scholarly study and heated debates. People have reached the conclusion it's hyperbole, Rizuk is just a very powerful Dragon with a bit more ego then common sense.
Gender: Male
Hair Color/Style: Rizuk has long black hair that flies off into spikes over one side of his head making him look like he's had a hair-dryer held to the side of his head. Although, in truth, its due to how he sleeps on one side every night. He doesn't know this yet.
Eye Color: Flaming orange, but with no pupils. He can still see fine, but its just a clean blank orange disc.
Age: 1, 119
Height: 5ft 11 (in his base form)
Weight: 13 Pounds (in his base form)
Aura Color: Rizuk is incapable of actually using Ki and as such, his enemies are normally surprised by the fact he can wield Fire without expending his own inner energy. His aura is normally nonexistent but flames lick around him during emotional stress or he's charging a strong attack.
Attire: Rizuk has a strange sense of style, his usual outfits feature long sleeved shirts, often slightly too big and fitting a style known as "old granddad", and loose jeans or training trousers ending in a pair of modern trousers. His reasons being that since he hatched in the Zolan Lands he got used to the idea of wearing loose clothes to suit his god-hood. He's apparently unaware that wearing these in modern society makes you a slacker, not a deity. He mostly favours either completely light colours or completely dark colours in his clothes, dependent on his mood. He's also taken to wearing a T-shirt over the long sleeved shirt with some kind of design on it that he thinks looks "awesome".
Other Physical Features: Rather oddly, Rizuk has some slightly pronounced fangs in his upper row of teeth which don't actually appear when he's in any of his transformed states except the final one. His fingernails are also black at all times (and he typically takes credit for starting the trend) and are hard enough to block a sword if held in the way (although he'd prefer he DIDN'T shatter his nails, thanks all the same). His glowing orange eyes are one of his biggest give-aways for his unique physical features. He also has a strange birthmark which spells his first name also perfectly, which is located in an area where few have seen... unless they were vestal virgins...
Abilities:
Class I:
- Sense Opponent's Power Level
- Telepathic Messaging
- Slightly Rapid (or background) Healing
Original Class I:
Dragon Claws!- One of Rizuk's signature abilities, hence the exclamation mark. Rizuk's pretty much permanently got these about him since they're attached to his fingers in human form and all his dragon forms. They aren't particularly sharp but can do about as much damage as a large dog could to a normal person, only to a Super power person. The real strength is in their hardness, since Rizuk can use his fingernails to block hard and fast attacks (and by that, I mean bullets)he's almost untouchable. His high point was using a finger strike and piercing a machine-gun barrel.
Class II:
Flame Manipulation - Rizuk's a dragon and, despite his last name which doesn't even BEGIN to fit his physical appearance (in ANY form) or attitudes, he wields Fire as his element of choice being one of the more, "Heat inclined" of his now extinct species. He has certain powers over Fire that most elementals are bound to lack, such as he's immune to damage from fire, but having a raging inferno around him means he can't see anything in front of him or around him and is prone to staggering around looking for a way out before he falls asleep from comfort. He most times avoids this since he can control the course of flames and often cause them to simply extinguish if he knows which kind of fire it is, although if it's someone else’s Fire being used through elemental control he tends to quickly realise and the former event occurs. For himself, it offers a useful alternative to his normally brutal hand to hand combat, that doesn't cost him much. He can create fire from almost nowhere and control it with a huge degree of finesse but, this flame isn't all that powerful, he needs to use his own energy to achieve that...
Fire Boom Breath - Rizuk's most commonly used move, if not his most practical, mostly due to the fact it 'fits the aesthetic' as he puts it. He focuses his (quite considerably large reserves of) life energy into his mouth and fires a blast of flame at his opponents that Rizuk compared, not unfavourably, to a solar flare. This, again, was hyperbole. The heat inside the blast can often be held off by using energy subconsciously to avoid being incinerated but the force will still damage someone. The rate of focus and time spent charging this attack with energy affects how strong it is when Rizuk launches it. It can also be fired "Fireball style" by Rizuk blowing on his knuckles as if he's holding some dice, shakes his hand and suddenly throws an explosion of powerful fire. Let it not be said he doesn't have a sense of humour... if you can call that humour.
Fire Fists (or once "I make Bruce Lee look a small girl wearing a pink dress") - Ignoring Rizuk's, almost blasphemous second name for this attack, it's not entirely unfair. His energy surrounds certain areas of his body and he summons flames around them and as I'm sure anyone who's experienced a similar event will tell you, the only thing worse than being hit repeatedly by a hammer is being hit repeatedly by a hammer that’s on fire. For some bizarre reason, this also improves Rizuk's physical abilities for hand to hand combat to an impressive degree. Although, a good part of this may be humanity's natural aversion to grabbing something that’s on fire.
Amazing Healing Prowess - Another useful trait Dragon's have and that Rizuk often gets a lot of use out of, is that if he has time to sit down and meditate he can heal from insane amounts of damage, Restore lost organs, replace broken bones (and yes, I did mean REPLACE). Rizuk has also confirmed that if he's beaten into a coma, say by an alien who invaded 603 years ago and who fed off of heat, then he also heals and, quite pleasantly, he doesn't need to be aware of his eyes re-growing or his leg forming on the stump. Although it is EXTREMELY rare, in his Ego Boost state, Rizuk is capable of spreading this healing power by mixing his blood with someone else’s. He has said there's a 3 time limit but what exactly happens if it's done more than 3 times hasn't been answered by him. He's also shown, to some people's considerable shock and dismay, to be capable of using this consciously in his True Dragon state.
Ego Boost!!!- Well, Rizuk's transformations don't tend to fit the archetype of a typical martial arts hero. That is, generally speaking, a hero doesn't suddenly gain 300 pounds of scales and meat and eat the enemy they're fighting. However, this ability which is called (fittingly) Ego Boost, is one that allows Rizuk to ascend to a greater level of power but he cannot do it on his own. I would love to say he does it for his friends, like a certain human with blue lightning powers on another familiar site, or for the woman he loves like so many heroes in today’s society. But he doesn't. Ego Boost is when someone, normally an ally, gives him a compliment. It can be anything from "Your ability to control fire is so powerful.. its like the sun!" to "Your hair looks quite nice today" and Rizuk suddenly has an enormous boost in power. He becomes stronger, faster and his background healing accelerates to compensate for any injury that makes him look damaged. In fact, it's a general improvement of everything that is Rizuk. Although, I suppose if you improved most of his traits that doesn't necessarily mean its better... if you want a better example, its a "Kaio Ken"
Dragon Form - OK, now these transformations are... well, odd. Technically speaking, all three are the same ability but... well, depending on how Rizuk's feeling the total power released and the form attained varies. Which is pretty typical Rizuk if you think about it. Only the first two stages fit under the Dragon Form heading since, although they are two separate abilities, they're both invoked the same way. Rizuk crosses his arms over his face and throws them down, which signifies he's going to change, the difference is in which form comes out:
Red Dragon of Flame form - Rizuk's most basic form. The one he uses when transforming for either convenience or taking on a large number of people who are (by comparison to THIS monster) defenceless. It's an enormous red dragon like the stuff of legend, or nightmares, red scales all over his body that can shrug off swords blades, enormous leathery wings that finally allow him to fly (although, its not as easy as using spiritual energy, so he's often seen bitching about it). His main weapon in this form is his tail and fire breath. Pretty much, this is WHY Rizuk can claim to be a Dragon God, when he emerges out of the mountains of wherever he's visiting at the moment as an enormous red beast of carnage... well, some people are bound to believe that a dragon's come down from on high to begin the apocalypse. Co-incidentally, He also claims that he's referred to in the bible, but considering the context (and who’s saying it), it's doubtful he's actually READ the thing. Err, anyway, this is Rizuk's normal form when he transforms
Black Dragon of Claws form - Ahhh, now, this one is slightly more dangerous. Rizuk stays at around the same size but is covered by a thick black chitinous kind of substance. His face is nearly entirely covered by a black kind of helmet except his mouth which extends. He gets a tail again but this one ends in a blade. His legs become haunces like that of a big cat and his hands develop enormous scissors like claws on each finger. This form is compressed and has enormous speed, gaining the ability to 'teleport'. In actuality he's simply sprinting faster than the normal eye can follow, some particularly aware warriors can follow his movements and avoid getting impaled but it's tricky... The downside is that Rizuk's mind is submerged in raw emotion and he often has to wrestle control back by sheer force of will (and this is some CONSIDERABLE will we're talking about, so you know how hard it is). This form arises when Rizuk transforms with negative feelings in his heart, rage, betrayal, loss... It'd be tragic if it wasn't prone to reducing a man to a red mist with its tail and claws. He doesn't seem able to control fire in this form so that's one blessing...
Class III:
Fire Flash Blast - Rizuk's strongest Fire Based Technique, he places the palms of his hands, near the thumb, together and with a snapping sound scrapes them away causing a line of fire to ignite, he swings this around forming a flaming circle before holding his hands together by his side, focusing as a wall of heat surrounds him in a raging inferno... I know, right? Sounds pretty cool. Anyway, the fire continues growing into a focused yellow bomb of heat, before he lunges forward with it and a blast of orange fire and heat bursts forth in a beam of intense heat, this attacks major quality is its "piercing" effect. It ignores any defence in the way and burns directly through scorching anything in its path into a neat, charred hole. This attack was devised when Rizuk realised how slow his Fist of the Elements was to charge and the fact that... well, you can BLOCK a fist. Rizuk won't say when or how he developed this attack (or how many poor trees gave their lives as practice), but its gone on record as his most powerful, since it will penetrate any enemies and has been known to explode if focused at the end. He has said that if he misses something vital the enemy won't be killed or even badly wounded since it'd be cauterised.
Dragon Form, White Dragon of the Sun: I will rise into the Heavens and become a Star -Despite the long name, this attack is pretty much the sequential conclusion to Rizuk's Dragon Form transformations. It's other name is True Dragon. Rizuk's skin is darkened to yellow and his hair is bleach white by the transformation, and he develops gauntlets and greaves over his arms and legs that resemble his Red Dragon form. The claws are contained and finger sized but when he strikes fast enough they sometimes appear to reach far longer than they should do, making it appear that some elements of the Black Dragon still reside in this form. This state is unquestionably Rizuk's strongest, he is able to fight equally with nearly any other creature on Dragonia in this form and his flames are as hot as the sun, hence the name. Normally, you'd expect Rizuk to use this as an excuse to claim inspiration for the Nuclear Bomb but he doesn't. The biggest shock in this form is that his personality is kind, determined, dedicated to his cause and protects people from attack. So you might be asking, as well you should, why the HELL he isn't like that normally? Well... it's complicated. As is the fact that Rizuk can't use this form unless he is filled with a pure positive emotion... so it's not exactly a common sight. Maybe one day though... when he let's go of his pain.
Other Information:
Personality: "A noble Hero, with a tragic past..." Psssh, yeah. Rizuk is Pompous, Sneaky, Insubordinate, Respects no authority and believes to strongly in himself. A far cry from the noble Dragon of Dragonia Myth. Rizuk is also, unquestionably, the most arrogant organism in existence. There is nothing above him in the ego pyramid, people with God Complexes are often felt compelled to bow at his feet for his severe almost overwhelming belief that he's absolutely, 100% Divine. Rather interestingly, he seems quite closely tied to the planet of Dragonia, and to a degree, the Iniquity Spheres since most of his personality revolves around the 7 deadly sins. Such as Pride ("Rizuk the dragon GOD, people"), Wrath ("Come over here so I can burn your face off you little motherf-"), Greed ("Yoink"), Gluttony ("More food Human! NOW!"), Lust ("Sup baby? Wanna join my Harem?") and Sloth ("Piss off, I'm tired... you can rebuild your village, I can't rebuild my... ahh screw it can't be bothered to finish). In fact, the only sin he seems clean of is Envy. But this is because he doesn't see anything to be envious of... However, deep down, he is actually a good person and wants to do what's right. He's just... sort of skewed in what he thinks this is. For some bizarre reason, he has an irrational fear of poultry. As far as Dragons go he's still young but... well, I wouldn't recommend antagonising him about it.
Origins: A long time ago, a really long time ago, (OK, OK, you want dates? Exactly 1,400 years ago to the Dragonian Calendar) there was an ancient clan of Dragons. They resided on Dragonia long before the Dragonians evolved, they spent their days in the area now called the Zolan Lands. A small group of evolving Dragonians from the Zolan Lands stumbled across one of the stronger Dragons, Chaos, and worshipped him as a god (despite the fact he had, at the time, been impregnating his wife. Needless to say, this may explain why he became known as Chaos the Wrathful). The dragons were basically peaceful, if a bit conceited, until an unknown blight suddenly wiped them out. One last egg was saved by Chaos, the one the humans had seen him fertilising "Fine," he had said "The little monkeys can take care of it since they're so interested" and in the scorching flames of the Dragon's home as they fought to survive, this egg was taken to the Cult of Chaos' village, and was hatched as the last death cry of the Dragons echoed across the plains. From inside the egg fell a crying helpless baby, with brilliantly orange eyes. The last remnant of the Ryujin family. Chaos' son, the last Dragonian Dragon, Rizuk. They raised him educationally, telling him of his father and his great deeds...
About 300 years ago, Rizuk had noticed that he did not age like the humans and was after the first 30 odd years, he'd kind of frozen at one point. Seeing that he wasn't going to get any older, Rizuk decided that there wasn't much point to staying in the village. After several words with the chieftan of the Tribe he was allowed to leave so long as he left a blessing on the village. Rizuk saw this as fair, so he did, by giving them a sample of his fire which they couldn't put out. Tragically this then blazed out of control and before long the Cult of Chaos was... pretty singed. Some even say this is why the Zolan Lands are a desert, so... we're going to ignore that for now and move on... Rizuk was away on his quest to find out where he came from and how to fulfil his own unique destiny! He had heard several tales of Chaos the dragon and, to be fair, he was doubtful. He didn't really sympathise with this noble hearted warrior who would seek revenge on those who dishonoured his wife by viewing her naked (the Cult seemed very adamant about this part). Something insisted from the back of Rizuk's mindscape that his father was a great being and that his death needed avenging, for himself and his family that had been killed by some unknown force. He completely ignored his own logic that he was nowhere near as powerful as Chaos and unless the enemy was thoroughly doused in petrol he didn't stand a snowballs chance in his Fire Boom Breath. But this quest lay heavily on him...
It took him almost 200 years of wandering to find someone who knew of Chaos during his life and even then, the guy was near death. Rizuk walked through the trained monks and military enforcement (more precisely BURNED through the trained monks and military enforcement) and finally confronted the man, an aged immortal called Danereich. Danereich seemed pleasently surprised to see him, and told him what he remembered of Chaos. Or as he was known in Guardinia, that Bastard Dragon!! Chaos had been a womanising, flame scorching, strutting oppinjay! Don't get him wrong, Chaos had defended Dragonia from threats great and small, but the news that he was dead was a great relief to Danereich, although it meant that evil might come back, it meant he could die in peace. And with that, his life extinguished, proving he wasn't QUITE immortal. Rizuk, however, after hearing this was news, was ecstatic. The Dragon now knew his purpose in life, it wasn't to avenge Chaos the Dragons death... it was to do the same amount of Good he had and in the same manner. Indiscriminate Destruction of all things evil! He left the devestated temple with a smile on his face, a force for good eh? That was good... he didn't seem to appreciate the Irony.
Now in the present day, Rizuk continues his quest pretty lazily, he still fights evil but in his own words "It's more of a Week-end thing", his high point so far has been destroying the Mirror of Pockus, and his low point spending 200 years in a cave trying to recover from being stabbed through the stomach. The one thing he never ever discusses is his family. Its believed by some close to him that inside he feels a huge amount of guilt and longs to have a family, or just someone who cared for him, but he'd never tell anyone that would he? Rizuk normally wanders on his own, he very rarely visits the Zolan Lands...
He’s expressed an interest in Jimmy Claymore after the Tournament, but mostly because he got him INTO the problem in the first place. However, the young DemonSpawn seems to have vanished...
Alliance: Rather poorly believes he is ALWAYS doing good no matter what he does. Even if this includes slaughtering children. He has some problems that way, but he has a good heart. Most likely in his stomach.
Death Count: 0
