New staff:
I think most importantly we have a new member of staff that has yet to be announced. Vega comes to us from RPG Directory, on my request. With Garoten having vanished and Vahn absent without leave the full running of the site fell to me; a problem when the site runs on a three Admin system. Though school has just started for her, so she’ll mainly be taking a back seat in terms of Admin responsibilities, I’m hoping that she’ll be able to add something to the site as all Admins before her have done.
On another note in relation to new staff, as suggested in our ‘SoN’s Members Workforce’ thread, I have come to the decision to start appointing different members of the site into staff positions; this will unlikely effect all of you, as originally suggested, but it may likely effect the majority of you. A few positions that are likely to free up are Global Moderators, Storyline Moderators, Archive Moderators, Advertising Moderators; and maybe a few more.
Now I will be thinking on this matter and PM’ing those of you who I think fit particular jobs around the site, but if at any time you do not think you have the time for what I offer, or you’re just not interested, then please do tell me – and we’ll look for another position for you instead.
Character Encyclopaedias:
Aion’s idea has come into full-fruit and kicked off already. This section (which is a thread currently located within the OOC section of the site) is basically for you to all describe important and world changing events that your character has either taken part in or caused, important positions they’ve had, etc. It should be set out in bullet form or points and created by you. This is to save time, so people don’t have to dig through other peoples profiles to find out important information on other characters.
Aion and I have already done ours, or at least started them. If you have any major NPC’s that you use then you can also do a small one for them too, if you feel you have the time to do so.
Canon Characters:
This is another idea of Aion’s that has been put in place for you all to take advantage of. A list of important Canon characters has been formulated by Aion (thanks mate, MUCH appreciated) and have been posted up in the ‘SoN’s Members Workforce’ ( here ). These characters are open for anyone to apply for, as we want the members of this site to take an active role in how it’s run and how the story plays out!
So to take up one of these Canon Characters as one of your own characters (think of them as Special Administrative Characters that the members can use!) all you have to do is check out the new thread, which is in the OOC section ( here ), and follow the steps!
Plot Planning:
This is a new section of the site that I’ve opened that is for exactly what it says on the tin, for planning plots. It actually isn’t a new section at all, rather just that the old ‘Saga’ section has now been changed to the new ‘Plot Planning’ section; as suggested by one of our own members.
Activity is a major problem that we all suffer from on this site. How can we expect new members to join if we can’t keep active ourselves? I know real life is often a connected issue with our activity, but sometimes it can simply be that we don’t know what to write about or who to write it with; this is what the Plot Planning area is for.
Inside it’s split into two separate sections; Site-wide Storylines and Personal Storylines. As you’d guess, site-wide storylines are storylines that effect the ENTIRE site. They’re meant to be epic, in every sense of the word, and run by the member who creates it with the help of the Saga Moderator and Admin staff. Personal storylines can be as big as a story-arc or as little as a simple thread; this is just the place for you to discuss your ideas with fellow members, or even to simply ask for people to join in to get you in the writing mood.
Also, feel free to give your suggestions of ways to improve storyline ideas that have been posted up in these sections!

Don’t forget to vote on the top-sites for us at least every time you come onto the forum, though once a day would be best! The more votes we have, the more new members we’re likely to attract. If you know of any popular top-sites that people still actively use then please PM me a link to it so I can set up an account for our site!
