Good morning SoN members! That’s right; it’s time for another update.
Profile Layout
The new profile layout has finally been completed. It hasn’t changed an extreme amount from the original but me and Vahn have gone through it and stripped a lot of information that we didn’t think was relevant or used very often, if at all. Of course, the layout is still quite lengthy and does take a while to fill in properly; this is a double edged sword, we understand, as though the longer it takes the fill the better quality it’s likely to be we can also understand that it could be a put off to potential new members.
This will more than likely be an ongoing project, with changes likely being constantly made to improve the site application form. However, like I mentioned in the previous update, no one needs to worry about editing their profiles to fit the new layout. Vahn and I will go through all the current profiles and make the necessary changes. Most changes will be slight, some profiles won’t need any changes I imagine, but those who need major changes we will consult the owner of said character before any changes are made.
Here is the layout of the new profile, in case anyone is interested:
New Members
The foundation of any successful RPG is its members. We have been blessed over the years for the great, friendly and talented members that have joined our ranks and it’s always a shame to see good people leave the site, though it’s unavoidable. All sites need a healthy flow of new members to keep a site alive and flowing with different styles of writing, creativity and imagination. The problem we have at the moment is we’re not bringing in any new members, and haven’t for a while. We’ve had promises from old members that they’d come back, but no new members.
There are several ways we can resolve this issue:
There’s a project currently in the works for a video advertisement for SoN. Sophronia has been heading it with my input and it’s coming along brilliantly. As soon as it’s finished you will be able to post it up on other sites as a different form of advertisement, not to mention it’ll open a whole new area of advertising on sites like youtube.
I once again have to stress the importance of activity. I know people are busy and that real life does kick our arses at times, but we really do need to focus, even if it’s one or two posts a week from each of us. The more active we all are the more appealing our site will appear to potential new member who are viewing it. Only we can turn this site around.
RPG Directory
I’ve recently joined this forum as a means to improve our own. It’s not an RPG but rather a wealth of knowledge and help for owners of RPG’s, from other owners of RPG’s. I’m currently in talks with other members of the site over SoN issues, how to improve the site, the creation of a skin and affiliation button for SoN, not to mention a drive of new members. I’m sure with the help I’m gaining from this site that SoN will soon reach its former glory, before surpassing it!
But don’t forget, what’s more important is the opinions, feelings and ideas from all of you, the current members of SoN. The workforce thread in the OOC section is going great, and the majority of the ideas are being worked into the site as we speak, so please do keep them coming! Remember, this site is for all of us so help me to shape it as you want it to be shaped! Any ideas or problems then make sure that they’re voiced.
That’s all for now, but expect another update within the next two weeks when I get some more site content finished and posted up! Until then,
~ Your friendly neighbourhood Admins, Ryan and Vahn

Please copy and paste this document into a separate text-editing program (such as Microsoft Word, or Notepad). Fill out the information accordingly, and when you are finished, post it in the “Character Submissions, New Character” with the subject as "Character Submission: (Character's Name)”. ----Before posting, please look over all spelling/punctuation/grammatical errors, and delete any and all notes beginning with "----".
---Also, if you have an image, please provide a link to it within the post, rather than the image itself; it will be put up at the beginning of the character's information.

Alliance:
----Either Good, Evil, or Neutral...how simple is that?
Poll Question:
----This is just something to help us administrators out a little bit. The question is: Where/How did you find Legends of Noria?

There are several ways we can resolve this issue:
- Top-sites - I have added a scroll-bar to the bottom of the forum now (though I know there’s a problem with the coding currently). This scroll-bar is specifically for top-sites only, so any buttons that are scrolling along are top-sites that SoN is registered on, so the more you vote on them the higher our site will go up the lists and the more people will check out the site.
- Advertisements – we have a thread with out advert posted up in it, so feel free to advertise our site on any other sites that you may be a member of, or sites you’re not a member of for that matter! If you do advertise our site on another site then please don’t forget to post the name and link of said site in our advertisement section (or PM it to me) just so we don’t go there again by accident.
- Affiliation – if you happen to be on another RPG then perhaps they’d like to affiliate with us? Ask around, affiliation works just as well as advertising.
