This isn’t as much as an update but more a reminder of a few things.
Firstly let me stress the importance of activity.
Without all of our current members being active the site will fail before any new members join. Now I know we haven’t really had many new members of late, in fact hardly any at all, but that’s because the major advertising that we plan to do hasn’t begun yet, rather a small one based mainly on word of mouth is being worked on while we make changes to the site. However, from what I have been told (by the people themselves and members of this site) we have at least three to four people currently working on profiles for the site.
I know a lot of the lack in activity has been down to waiting for particular people to post. No one is at fault here. I am glad people are doing such, it shows good character qualities, but it gets to a point when the site’s survival is more important that staying in order. So although this rule is always in place, I’m going to remind you of it all and ask you to seriously put it into practise – The Three Day Rule.
I know the main site isn’t up anymore, so I don’t think a lot of the site rules are viewable now (something we’re working on), so I’ll go into some detail on this rule. The Three Day Rule states that if you are waiting on someone to post, and they do not post within three days of the previous poster, then you have the right to skip their go and post yourself; this helps to speed things up and keep things running smoothly within threads with more than two people. The one exception to this rule is if you’ve heard word from the person who is meant to post, say for example they’ve posted saying they’ll need a few more days – then the three day rule can be extended, but this is down to the discretion of whoever’s turn it is to post next.
Profile Layout
As suggested by Echo, our current profile layout is under construction. We’re are basically looking to strip out all of the useless information and the parts that are hardly used, sum up all of the information that is too long and drawn out, and make it generally more understandable for beginners to the site.
This is work in process.
Upon completion Vahn and I will go through all of the sites current profiles (that’s the profiles of you members) and we’ll edit all of them to the new layout for you, to make the process easier. If we come across any problems during this process then we’ll contact you via PM to discuss the problem, though I doubt any will arise.
Also, don't forget to throw your attempt in for the SoN Official First Graphics Competition!
Keep an eye out for further updates in the future.
