Multiple Threads
Okay, so Ryan and I have spoken about a couple of things and I am proud to announce something that will help promote activity here on the site. As of today, we are invoking multiple threads for each character that you have so that we can have members mingle more and move their own stories along. There are a couple of simple rules to go by though.
1. Only 2 threads per character, please.
2. Do not let the time frames of the threads overlap.
3. Do not just jump further into your story with the same person. If you're going to have a second thread going, at least work with someone else. The only way is if that person is currently involved in a saga thread with you since that pertains directly to the site's flow, so if you're in a saga with person A and want to build something with them, you can open an independent thread with person A.
Those are the basic rules to go by. The same rules apply and I would just like to remind everyone to be courteous. Since we will have more threads, more people will be posting soon so if you want to have an open thread, either leave the title by itself or put (open) for everyone to know. If you want to build something just between you and someone else or a couple of other people, put (closed for X and Y) or (closed for X).

PARTIAL World Status Update
This is simply to help make the game we’re all playing a LITTLE more interesting for everyone:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As many of the older members may remember from when the site was set on Dragonia rather than Noria, the warriors that are now known as ‘The Warriors of Time’ were all-powerful beings, closer to Gods than men. Few could stand in their way and even fewer dared to. But as a thousand years passed much changed; the countries reshaped around them and were renamed, even the dominant race known as the Dragonians are all but extinct after having evolved into the several subspecies that now share dominance over the planet.
Nothing is the same, and that also goes for the Warriors of Time’s grip on the dominance their power once gave them so long ago. For reasons unknown their power isn’t what it once was. There are two main theories for why it has happened; the first theory is that though they were frozen in time the long length of time they all went without using their powers caused them to weaken, why the second theory is simply that they are as powerful as they ever were, it’s just the rest of the world that has grown to equal them.
Enhanced senses, physical strength, all knowing perception, energy density and potency; most have dwindled down from their former greatness to nothing superior than above average. However a few powers and attributes remain the same, or close to, and most forms of manipulation too, especially elemental manipulation – though this is believed to be because of the rise of magic over the past thousand years.
Whatever theory is correct, if either is, the truth of the matter still remains; though as different as can be in many ways, especially their powers and abilities, the Warriors of Time are no different from the most powerful people of this time. The strength and power they had trained so hard and for so long to achieve had been stripped away from them in the blink of an eye. Once again they would have to prepare, as they knew better than most, the only dependable thing about the future is its unpredictability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There’s a small snippet of some of the information that will be going up on the site over the upcoming months. All the information is designed to give everyone a greater understanding of how things now stand on Noria, in regards to how they once stood for everyone when on Dragonia; though it’s still fundamentally the same planet, everything has changed.
This little morsel of information in particular is designed to help members avoid God-moding in the new world. Where once your character may have had enhanced senses well beyond the norm, much like my character Ryan did, their senses have now dwindled down and things they would have been able to do, such as hear someone shout and scream from a great distance, they would now have difficulty hearing it. Where before they’d have been able to sense a person clear from another part of the planet now they wouldn’t be able to, or would only just feel the faintest of a familiar feeling.
This goes for all characters and members on the site that can be counted as a Warrior of Time. It doesn’t affect characters from the new world due them never having lived a thousand years ago, obviously. This change only directly affects their powers and abilities, it doesn’t have to affect their egos or personalities – unless you want it to, of course; an arrogant and egotistical character, such as my character Loki, can still remain egotistical and arrogant, despite having the cut in powers and abilities.
So when you’re writing with your characters (those of us who are Warriors of Time) just remember to tone down your character a little; don’t make their attacks all powerful, don’t allow them to see or hear or know everything that’s happening around them, leave them in the dark sometimes – not only will it help you interact with the members around you, as well as making the playing field, but it will also improve your characters I’m sure!
Keep an eye out for further updates in the future.
