So I'm guessing we're in agreement for everything except moving? Honestly, I'm sort of waiting for the whole academy thing to be worked out. I might have Aion take an instructor position in his free time. XD
A couple more ideas though.
Reintroduce "Cannon Characters" for play. No reason why the Leaders and the important positions within the academy shouldn't be open to those who want them. It might make it a bit easier for those who are experiencing writer's block when trying to join.
A character encyclopaedia. This won't be too hard considering we can do this ourselves, but basically, describe what important world changing events your character has caused, important positions, etc. in bullet point form. So people don't have to dig through profiles as much.
Example:
Aion
Freed the original Leviathan tribe from the Nenian council.
Former General and Ambassador of Lavertia.
Which would make him known to those who have Nethian/Leiversian characters.

Yeah, perhaps allowing members to take on larger character roles (handing out the SAC's, as it were) may help many problems we're currently going thorugh. I'll write up a list of them and post them up, to see if anyone wants to take their roles (whether part-time or full-time), then if I miss any out you can all point out any I miss.
I love the idea of the character encyclopaedias. Like you said, not only will it mean that people can find out important facts and details about specific characters and events they may have been involved with without having to dig through previous posts and threads. Not to mention it'll also mean that people wont have to constantly update their profile histories to include new information - though I know I still will lol
I think that's what everyone should work on while I work on some major academy/mage related site content (which i'm doing right now. So everyone should aim to work on their own person character encyclopaedia, using a similar layout to Aion's example - in fact, use we'll all use Aion's example layout as the base layout for now.
I'll start a quick thread in the OOC section for you to post them all when you've done. The thread wont remain there (it'll be moved to a more suitable place at a later date) but here's a good place to keep it for now. With each member posting it themselves it allows you all to be able to go back to your posts and update them with new info. as our characters progress.

Meh...I can compile the list of SAC's if there's a need. It shouldn't take too long.

Magus Council
High Lord Alchemist: Jeffron(M) Second: Shyaldi(?)
High Lord of the Knights: Therick(M) Second: Morkim(M)
High Lord Alleviator: Elmelda(F) Second: Sulas-Ril(M)
High Lord Summoner: Tyser(M); Familiar: Scaevu Second: Imigei(F); Familiar: Gendo
High Lord Elementalist: Ser-Nyskel(M) Second: Shaban(?)
High Lord Mage: Estrkin(M) Second: Verechi(F)
Resistance
Avalon District, Resistance mouth-piece: Jarrow(M)
Myura District: Alder(M)
Kinrath District: Varon(M)
Pashoda District:Flaey(F)
Eldritch District: J'fiel(F)
Misc.
King Of Hell: Lucifer
King Of Heaven: God(I guess?)
Well there they are, or at least the confirmed ones, along with their repective genders. Couple of things, though. I guess this could ruin the whole point of making the list, but gender and names, and in some cases race, should be up to the player. We need positions for the nations of Noria. So I guess this could be the next discussion?
Quick side note: I'm going to volunteer the position of High Shaman for the Nethians. I had no plans for using it, so might as well put it to good use.

Your right Aion, I think we do need to discuss/decide/create leaders/rulers for each country. Any suggestions/ideas that anyone has for this, feel free to give them.
In truth, that leads me to my next point - country descriptions also nee to be created.
At one point the Admin team, back just after the re-vamp, did have drafts written up for each country - or at least small descriptions that were a few lines long. Unfortunatly they never went any further than that, other things always getting in the way. I think it's time that country descriptions were made a priority.
In relation to the countries of the planet, everyone should check out the poll in the OOC section: Noria. Vote and give your opinions please!
I was wondering, do you think a Chat Box could improve the site a little more? The one issue I have is that on some sites i've seen, the Chat Box seems to be the only place that is active. What's everyones opinions on this?

I honestly think we should keep the country descriptions short and basic, maybe about a paragraph long. Nothing too extravagant. The only exception would be for the original custom races(Nethian, Mekleor, etc.) who's culture may need a bit more explaining since you couldn't pin down any current/once existing faith or culture on them.
It shouldn't be too tough to nail down a basic outline of each area, though; pretty much everything needed is in the race profiles. I think in everyone's free time we should do some drafts or maybe we could all collaborate on some ideas.
Since they're "my" beast, I'll work on my idea for the Nethian's when I get the chance. If anybody wants to help just pm me or post here...or anywhere, just make sure it gets my attention. I'm open for ideas...so don't be afraid to suggest anything.
Also, I'm for the CBox idea. Everybody seems to have one, and it wouldn't hurt if we did, as well.

Right, brilliant. Lets get/keep things rolling as much as possible.
Aion, great, you take the Nethians - it makes most sense.
What i'll do is search through all of our Admin threads to find the original, brief descriptions for each country. I'll post them in here (or a new thread) and then everyone can pick something, if they want to, and just go wild with it! Once done they can post it back and we can all look over them; somewhat like a group project, of sorts? It'll certainly get things done a lot quicker.
Also i'm looking into C-box's, so if any of you know of any good ones that we could possibly use, then feel free to either post up a link here or to PM me it.

Well if you like I can help with the Rellians, at least I think that's what they're called but who I mean are those nature guys who live in the trees because my second character Horatio is from there, and Kaworu's estate was there as well so I could easily write a detailed history and or description for the place.
As for the cbox I think I can help there but I'll have to go back to the places that I've used them or have them as I've done admin stuff before and have dealt with cbox stuff, so when I get the info which shouldn't be too long or hard I'll PM you Ryan or maybe post it here either way it'll come at some point in the near future.

Well it's good to have you back Vaya, I can see you're as subtle as ever >_>
But yeah, do you have anything to add to everything that's been said already? You're a long standing member of this site, so your incite is very much welcomed.

Mostly, my ideas aren't of the advertising, website mechanics, or bureaucratic variety. For the most part, my ideas are of the creative sort - the kinds of things that give a world lots of different lifestyle possibilities, character interests, and adventure hooks and the like. You know - variety of ideas! Way I figure, that kind of stuff is just about the only thing I'm actually good at on sites like this.
To make it all short and to the point, I'll sum up a list of my ideas as follows:
1. A psionics system, accompanying world considerations and cultures, and a race that goes with it - the children of the goddess Atsuko, formally known by most as werewolves.
2. Dungeons (as in, adventure sites) - They're standard fantasy fare for a pretty bloody good reason.
3. A consideration of magical items - I've got a billion interesting ideas on the subject and how it could be treated. Perhaps even a consideration for an entirely new school of magic that could well be something considered in the academy (if as a subschool of arcanum): Enchanters. (somebody has to do it - why not someone who professionalizes it - an artificer?)
3a. Alternate forms of magic - to expand upon the current system with different ways of doing things.
4. Cosmology - it could well be that with the birth of magic - elemental and otherwise - in this world, that all that energy has to come from... somewhere, right? Alternate dimensions, aside heaven and hell (which are, imho, quite generic.)
5. Monsters. - There's a lot of bad in the past, and monsters would be a fun thing to toss in. Perhaps even give people the chance to play monster characters. Again, a million ideas for the site, ready for the plucking.
6. Clans, houses, bloodlines, etc - Things to further in which distinguish oneself within the races. Perhaps particular bloodlines even have racial abilities all their own - like instead of the three racial generic powers all people can posess of a race, one might choose one ancestry power from their bloodline.
And of course, I'm willing to write up anything I've mentioned in great detail, and on request. I don't want to change the world... I like the world - I wanna add to it, flesh it out more, help with immersion. That sort of lovely thing.
The point and purpose of all of this would be to give people more ideas - For administrators, that'd mean it'd be easier to come up with new plotlines, new adventures, etc. For players, more stuff to shoot for, to do, to own, to fight! And for all, a better, more captivating world to live in - one that people will flock to for its sheer level of depth and detail, that they'll stay in because its so damn captivating its got a pulse of its own.
Like I said, its the only thing I really know how to do on a site like this - make shit. I'll write it all up en masse if it should please you.

All your ideas were great, but these really caught my attension. I've been trying to think of a way to implement both without it being too similar to Naruto. In short, while I have a few rough ideas, that I'm not sure I can go into out of the admin section; I have nothing that really separates either idea from the series.

Heh I spoke to Ryan-sama on the matters - and way we came to figure this, the first thing I'll be working on is MONSTAHS.
Part of the joy of this first task is defining the world's monster population, to help a summoner of various skills call a variety of powerful creatures to their service!
0w0 I'm really, really excited about this project, and I'munna bust my ass till I've got my ideas down. But! It'll all be posted here as we go! So hang on mah chillens' I gots it in da works

What we have to remeber though, is no matter how many different ideas that we decide to add to the site, we can't over do it. There is a balance that must be found on everything. Too much detail can kill a site just as much as not enough detail can. The more there is to learn and read up on for potential new members, then more often than not they'll be lazy and wont bother joining.
I'm not saying not to add new things, that would just be silly, what i'm saying is we need to add new things without getting OVERLY detailed about it. You know?
