As you all might be aware of a new board has popped up in the Out-Of-Character section of the site. I don’t wish to state the obvious by explaining what this new section is about, but just encase I’ll to it anyway.
I’ve decided that it’s time to start throwing down some fun activities for everyone to get in on and get involved in, and that’s the area it’ll ALL be happening in! The first contest, as some of you might have already seen, is an AMV Contest. Now I know that we’ve already kind of done something like this, but as that wasn’t within a contest I thought it’d be more fun to make it a contest.
I know not everyone will be able to get in on this specific contest - probably even including me - but don’t worry, over the next month or so I’m going to be thinking hard, taking suggestions off of all you guys, and making some other new contests and activities that will be a little more widely based. There will be incentive to get involved as well, as I’ll be giving out credits to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and remember, this will also raise your post count too! Hell, you might just have a bit of fun in the process.
I’m shortly going to be posting up some rules for that section of the site, rules which I will post up in this thread and in a separate thread within the section, so please at least look at one of the two sets of rules before taking part in any contest.
General Rules
No Recycling: Now I realise that most of you have probably in some shape or form done one of the many tasks that will might pop up within a contest (e.g.: an AMV.) we ask that you don’t re-enter projects that you’ve used in the past, and that everything that you submit is either brand-new, or hasn’t been used on the site in any other contests/threads.
Voting: When placing your votes in the polls we ask you NOT to vote for your own piece of work. I know you might obviously think that your own work is the best, and want it to win, but if everyone voted for their own work then we wouldn’t have any winners and it’d be one big draw. So have some sportsmanship. Us Admins can check up on who’s voting for who, so please don’t let us find anything we don’t want to.
Most Importantly: Remember people, although these are competitive competitions there are, at the end of the day, just another way of having fun within our community.
