Character Information:
Character's Name:
Jayne
Character Race:
Luukas – a race that is nearly indiscernible from Terrans visually and biologically, apart for certain restructuration of the brain and cell structure, which allows far greater potential in Psychokinetics than in most other races. Also, the Luukas always have brown hair and eyes and a light brown skin tone.
Gender: Female
Hair Color/Style: Dark brown, straight, just past her shoulders in length
Eye Color: Brown
Age: 19
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 155 pounds
Aura Color: N/A
Attire: Her Luukas garbs are visible in the image provided, but if those are unavailable (due to requiring cleaning or some other reason), she usually prefers leather clothes of the dark brown variety, tight fitting and with a short jacket more often than not. Jayne also has a habit of wearing gloves at most all times. She does not wear jewelry, but her favorite accessories are the black hair beads her mother gave her and leather strings with beads as well. She carries a small belt-mounted pouch at all times, which carries her most valuable and necessary personal items.
Other Physical Features:
For the most part Jayne could pass as a completely normal human. She thinks highly of hygiene and takes much pride in keeping herself clean at most any point. Her dazzling white smile is proof to this. The only thing that would make her stand out in a crowd would be the markings on her face, four dark brown fangs facing inward, two on either cheek. And, perhaps, a somewhat otherworldly depth in her eyes…
Abilities:
Class I:
Telekinesis
Original Class I:
Empathy – Jayne has a strong bond with all things natural, including animals. She can usually communicate with and tame even the wildest creatures, easily finding animal friends wherever she goes. Whether or not this talent is related to her Psychokinesis is unknown at this point.
Suggestion – Using her Psychokinesis Jayne is capable of, for lack of a better term, tipping the scales of sympathy in her favor when conversing with someone, allowing to resolve otherwise impossible situations with just words. It is by no means foolproof, but it most often helps Jayne get what she wants from people.
Luukas Garbs – The clothing that Jayne brought from her homeworld is more than good-looking, it also serves as light, flexible armor, offering protection from most low-force damage, absorbing impact surprisingly well.
Insight - Jayne's Psychokinesis has a passive manifestation which allows her to sense the intentions and emotions of a person she is conversing with. While it is not entirely accurate and can be misleading with people trained in deception, it does give her a good, if slightly vague insight into the mental and emotional world of whom she interacts with.
Psychokinesis – Jayne’s power and fighting prowess does not stem from traditional sources. Instead, it is a sensitivity and affinity for a certain ethereal presence that has never been named, but a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away it was called the Force. Because of this, she does not have a Ki signature or any other unusual reading to anyone without Psychokinesis potential.
Class II:
Lifesaver – Jayne’s weapon is in essence standard issue on her home planet Quigon, the energy molding technology which took her race to the forefront of Quigon’s wars and led them eventually to victory. Hers is a sword model. The handle is neatly cylindrical with the blade’s opening protruding just barely from the end, while the other end is decorated with her beloved leather string and beads. The energy blade manifests in a yellow color with an easily recognizable hum. The main advantage of the weapon is its physics specifics. The entire weight of the blade is in its handle and the energy blade’s ability to cut from any side or angle, giving it quite an edge over conventional melee weapons. Its cutting power is also exceptional. With enough patience and proper application, Lifesaver can slice most anything.
Luukas Conditioning – A race that is dependant on a special trait for generations to maintain its edge in continuous tribal and racial wars would naturally make said trait a second nature, as is the case with the Luukas. Their bodies and their Psychokinesis have melded to the point where they effortlessly use their unique ability to vastly increase their physical limits, and Jayne is no exception. In fact, even amongst her race she is extraordinarily proficient with this particular skill. It grants her agility, speed, strength reaction time at the very least on par with the superhumans of Dragonia.
Class III:
Other Information:
Personality:
Sunny. Jayne is a big bundle of joy and smiles. She makes friends easily (even when not using her Suggestive talents) and almost effortlessly, she is very likable and cheery. She should not be overlooked as some sort of a comedic relief character, though, because she adheres to a strict sense of honor that would appear to be in her blood, and she would never betray her perception of justice and fairness. Balance with the universe is also central to her beliefs, and she strives to use her talents for the good of those around her.
Origins:
Jayne comes from Quigon, a planet shared by numerous races, none of which have historically been in particularly good relations with the others. It was for countless eons a planet plagued by conflict, from small disputes to a recorded number of 47 World Wars. The resolve came with the creation of energy molding.
With this new form of weaponry and their ever-evolving Psychokinesis, the Luukas battled their way to take their place as the leading race of the planet, which is where they remain at this time and day, monitoring the safety and stability of Quigon.
The reason why Jayne is found on Dragonia is because of an old Luukas coming of age tradition. Upon their 19th birthday Psychokinesis adepts step through a gateway that takes them to an unknown location, always a different one, where the young Luukas is required to find his path, his road for life, which in turn would reveal their way home and give them their surname. Symbolic as it sounds, it actually works, as any one of thousands Psychokinetics could admit.
And now, Jayne steps in through the gateway that takes her… to Dragonia.
