Hey all, I'm back, and this time it's for good. My Boy Scout camp has been threatened by the Marble Complex fire that's been raging all along the Big Sur area, so we'd moved our Cub Scout weeks (ages 7-10, no more than 150 a week) to another camp called Boulder Creek in the Santa Cruz mountains. Unfortunately, the camp isn't nearly big enough to support our Boy Scout weeks (ages 12-18, anywhere from 200-300).
To reconcile this and maintain our high standards of customer service, our council has informed the various troops of the problem and found spots for them in different camps. Unfortunately, this meant that the staff of Pico Blanco would not be able to follow them, since these other camps were already fully staffed. As the Archery Rangemaster, I was not prepared to try and find a new camp that was farther away, take a demotion, and still be paid the same rate with gas being as highly priced as it is.
So I am back, my friends, and for the rest of the summer as well. Though it is a shame my beloved camp may still yet burn to the ground, I am willing to accept this and move on with my life.
On a happier note, is anyone wanting sigs? I have a few sites that can get you one at a fairly quick pace. ^^
PM meh if interested.
