Character Name: Aion Zakiya
Character Race: Nenian - The Nenian's are sub-species of Dragonia who mysteriously developed an elemental affinity to water. While resembling an ordinary Dragonian of the Agate reigon, Eliseans moreso than any other, Nenian's posses a couple minor key differences: Naturally being well-built for battle, Nenian's tend to have a less than moderate ability in controlling any type of energy without the use of a medium; instead they prefer, and excel, at the manipulation of water. While this isolation in ability would be seen as bothersome for most, it is responsible for many innovations among water manipulators; this includes quite a few that non-Nenian's can't accomplish. Second, Nenian's generally not only hunt in the seas of Dragonia, but live in small tribal villages in underwater caves as well. This means that, on average, they can hold their breath for an hour; and obviously, outswim most very easily.
Aion hails from the Leviathan tribe; who, oddly enough, chose to build their settlement, Cyraa, on a peninsula surrounded by glaciers in the southern region of Eliseia. This is partly due to their faith, which is controversial among their brethren. It is of their belief that they are direct descendants of Leviathan, one of Dragonia's legendary beasts, and "mother of the seas"; thus giving the rightful rule over the seas. Because of this they are seen as supremacist; and while they do possess a strong sense of pride and self importance, this couldn't be further from the truth. The Leviathan are a peaceful people; though most misinterpret their "right to rule" as a violent rebellion to come, the Leviathan believe that by merely teaching people their faith they will reach their goal.
The origin of this faith stems from their unusual talents when it comes to manipulating water, specifically, their mysterious ability to completely purify the water they manipulate; a power that is said to be shared by, their goddess, Leviathan. The Leviathan, though considered outcasts, are generally secretly respected within the community, not only because of their knowledge and complete control of the element, but the skill level they demand their tribesmen obtain at early ages; it's often stated that the average trained Leviathan five year old is more skillful than your average trained Nenian or Dragonian adult.
Gender: Male
Hair Color/Style: For a person who posses such a care-free attitude, Aion's hair remains very well kept; and for a person of his profession, that in itself is an accomplishment. Aion's hair color is generally what one would picture when thinking of a water user, sapphire; a shade deep enough that one could easily mistake him for a brunet. Although strands of his hair never tend to stray from it's original spot, it's style isn't anything too extravagant. It's short, the longest part being his bangs; which stop just below his eyes.
Eye Color: Originally, dark blue. However, as a result of the fusion between himself and the great beast, Leviathan, their true color is crimson. Not only did the fusion change the color of his eyes, but the shape as well. Each of Aion's irises took on the shape of a labyrinth. Within each labyrinth lie a small glowing white ball that constantly navigates it's way throughout the maze at high speed; leaving a trail that would make one assume that Aion's eyes are illuminating.
Age: 18
Height: 5'10
Weight: 147 lbs.
Aura Color: Blue
Attire: Aion isn't the type of person who gets enjoyment out of gaining a massive amount of attention; however, being a well respected leader of the Nenian brotherhood, Aion is expected to set an example for his subordinates, as well as the citizens of Cyraa. This small clash between his humble personality and, somewhat, loathed duty is reflected through his regular wardrobe. Unlike others who share a similar rank, his clothes are rather simple and plain, so much so that they could probably be replicated for a cheap price by a number of Dragonia's clothiers. Along with a matching pair of gloves, he dawns a navy blue, loose fitting, coat that stops just about mid-knee; made from a cloth that resembles leather, but doesn't posses the annoying qualities. Under his coat, he wears a button up shirt of the same color. As for his pants, they are made from the same cloth as his jacket, are the same color, and are equally as loose fitting. Of course, the most expensive part of his attire would be his footwear; they are heavy duty cleat/timberland hybrids custom tailored for the battlefield.
Other Physical Features: For a man known as "The Crimson Scourge", he doesn't posses the threatening, bulking, physique of a body builder; which commonly is associated with his alias. Similar to a decent number of Nenians, Aion's physique tends to be on the slender side; having a build one would expect of an active swimmer. His body lacks the many scars one would imagine it carries. Instead his skin is perfect, soft to the touch. This is due to his technique "Shattered Souls", which in it's dormant stage, draws the moisture from the air and causes it to stick to his body like very thin sheets of armour, so thin that it is hardly even noticeable.
His eyes, or rather, his horrible attempt of concealing them, are probably his most attention drawing feature. Within the Leviathan tribe, Aion's eyes are seen as the ultimate mark of sin, as one must obtain, and consume, the flesh of Leviathan to be granted this power. Although Aion is a strong minded individual, due to his upbringing, this stigma carried on into adulthood; thus, he feels that he must hide his eyes from the general public. For this reason, he can be seen wearing a pair of sunglasses; even on the darkest of nights.
Abilities:
Class I:
-Zanzouken
-Near Death x2 Power
Original Class I:
Elemental Sage (Advanced Water Manipulation) - If there's one thing the Leviathan are known for it's much sought after control and understanding of water. Though many individuals throughout Dragonia can be found with similar elemental abilities it is said that Leviathan's contain far more potential than most elementalist; this is somewhat true. Through a connection with the planet, those within the Leviathan tribe elemental attacks tend to be considerably stronger than their counterparts. Under their manipulation, water is not only purified, but flows quicker and easier; ice is more resilient and harder to melt. One could easily identify a Leviathan tribesman by simply observing their manipulation of the element; liquid or solid, when in their capable hands water emits an eerie glow.
Ocean's Wrath - Though it can be time consuming when used to gather large amounts of water, when used correctly; this single technique could give him the upper hand in a losing battle. By placing a single closed hand with an extended finger in front of himself, in a similar fashion to one charging up a ball of energy, Aion can gather the moisture lurking around him into small orbs of water. After collecting his desired amount, he will use his powers to cause each orb to explode, turning the surrounding area into a small lake.
Aquatic Healing - One of the main reasons the Leviathan tribe is perceived as invincible is due to their unrivalled ability to manipulate the water around them. This technique only reinforces this fear. By simply dosing himself with water, Aion can completely repair minor damage done to his body. Although he can heal broken bones and other serious injuries, while fighting, he can only heal these up to the point where they are usable again. If a limb is severed, Aion will simply use an aquatic replacement; these limbs posses the ability to stretch up to twenty feet.
Phase Step - A high level assassination skill developed by Aion and his special ops team. It was given it's name due to the user making it appear, to both natural and super natural senses, as if he had completely phased out of reality. This trick is accomplished by completing three very difficult steps: The first, the user takes a quick step toward or away his/her opponent; while doing so breaking their own body down into multiple specs of water. The second, they blend themselves into the moisture in the air, allowing them to travel completely hidden from all senses. The third, and most difficult, posses the concentration necessary to reform their bodies at any given time anywhere. While this sounds as if it would take minutes, the reality is that one as skilled as Aion can accomplish these feats in a nano-second.
High Vision - An off-shoot of "All Seeing Eyes", once completely activated, the glowing orb traveling throughout his labyrinth shaped pupils separates into eight parts; allow Aion to see, and switch between, eight different advanced types of vision. Personally, Aion loves using this ability for one reason, strategic information. By choosing certain types of sight, he can read a technique almost perfectly; to judging how much of a strain it puts on his opponents body, the percentage of total power it uses, or, simply, how it's created and used properly.
Class II:
All Seeing Eyes - The very first technique Leviathan grants her harold. Figuratively speaking, it's a double edged sword in the beginning, as well as a major deterrent for those who seek Leviathan's power; as it can bless it's user with great power or a swift death. Rather than physical mutation, "All Seeing Eyes"'s first makes it's appearance it's through a direct connection with the great beast; through this connection Leviathan places her host under a trance, pulling their spirit into the spiritual realm. Here the host is forced to confront Leviathan and convince the beast that they are worthy of it's strength. If successful, the outcome is obvious. However, if they fail, their spirit is consumed by the beast; trapping them for eternity within it's stomach. As a technique "All Seeing Eyes" is essentially as the name suggests, an ability that allows it's user to see everything; tip toeing the line between mortals and those who rule the spiritual realm. It's always highly active, even in it's dormant stage; which render high speed techniques useless against the user. This is accomplished by simply focusing on his target(s), Aion's eyes quickly determine the maximum speed the object can reach; after processing this information, Aion's body adjusts itself to counteract speedy attacks using his bodies minimum requirements.
Frost Moon - For an individual who posses the power to manipulate water, the moon can be powerful tool. Unfortunately, because the moon appears once every few hours, being placed at a disadvantage during their weakest times, such as being greatly outnumbered during the daytime hours or an eclipse, has caused widespread paranoia among water users. Through the shared connection between himself and Leviathan, Aion can summon the properties of a full moon at any point in time. Closing his eyes and locking his hands together as if he were praying, the young Nenian chants: "Y cossun dha buvar uj dha kraed paecd, Mazyedhen. Chuv iuorcamj, Jrucd Suun."; his voice echoing throughout the surrounding area with each repetition. A warm, white light engulfs his being, becoming significantly brighter as his chant makes progress; blinding most of those in his vicinity. Once at it's desired peak, Aion halts his chant; the spirit energy surrounding his body shoots upward into the sky, gathering into a small glowing orb. From here, the Frost Moon will shift between four phases....
1. Crescent - 25% increase in water based abilities. Nothing that significant appearance-wise takes place during phase, as this stage is really just prepping his body for upcoming changes. Aion's elemental control gets an upgrade and his attacks become much more intense.
2. First Quarter - 50% increase in water based abilities. His body becomes engulfed in a soft blue aura, which slightly upgrades his Shattered Souls armour. The only noteworthy power of the First Quarter phase, other than it's power increase, is the newly acquired ability to quickly craft a variety of weapons made of water and ice.
3. Waxing Gibbous - 75% increase in water based abilities. The aura made it's appearance during the First Quarter phase clamps down on his body, fully fusing with the liquid armour of Shattered Souls; hardening, and fully replacing, the upper layers of his flesh with slightly thicker sheets of ice. Not only does this add to his durability, but increases his attack strength as well. The secondary power gained during this phase is another welcomed ability under Aion's arsenal; under the Waxing Gibbous moon he now can fire beams of pure ice from his hands, mouth, and eyes.
4. Frost Moon - 100% increase in water based abilities. The young Nenian makes the transformation from regular elemental manipulator to elemental deity. As the shadows of the Waxing Gibbous retreat, the Frost Moon makes it's appearance; drawing the attention of all those nearby, as if they were under a form of hypnosis. Almost as if it were natural instinct, Aion's body surrounds itself, along with eighteen feet of the surrounding area, in a thick cocoon of ice. Moments later, he emerges from the cocoon; revealing his new twisted, gruesome, body: A deity of pure element, a titian of ice. Under the Frost Moon, his new form now resembles a reptile; his arms are about the same length as his legs, his fingers and toes now replaced by gigantic claws. His slim body type is a bit deceiving, though he is lanky, being pure ice, you'd be a fool to try and break through him; his hide is unbelievably thick and durable. As with other phases, the Frost Moon gives Aion a single ability. He can now absorb the water around his being; this has many uses, his favourite being "instant regeneration".
This increase in power effects multiple aspects of Aion's regular techniques; the obvious increase in destructive force of "Leviathan's Flame" to the decrease in time it takes to complete "Oceans Wrath". While will worth the effort, Frost Moon takes an extensive amount of concentration to maintain. One who could disrupt Aion's concentration could put it's use to an end, it's advised that pick your path of doing this wisely; as the ball of light could explode, causing a fair amount of damage to everything in the surrounding area.
Shattered Souls - A defensive skill that is always present, though in a much weaker form; aside from the regular protection this ability grants him, in it's dormant stage Shattered Souls disables the usage of mimicking techniques against Aion. This is done by Aion's body automatically sending out weak pulses of spirit energy that slightly confuse the enemy while said mimicking technique is active. When fully activated, a baseball sized orb of spirit energy, water, and ice appears before Aion; leaving his opponent with the illusion that it is nothing more than a low level energy ball. However, once released the ball shatters as if it were made of glass, the shards take flight, and flutter peacefully through the air like butterflies. As described the shards stay afloat, soaring in all directions as if they had a mind of their own; and by their actions, one could easily mistake this for being the case. The shards protect their master by sacrifice, choosing to thrust themselves in front of incoming non physical attacks, absorbing half, and on rare occasions all, of the damage dealt by the attack; this damage is then recycled into energy. Though this technique is used more for it's defensive skills, Shattered Souls can easily be transformed into an offensive ability. A major use would be for observation of the battlefield; being directly connected to Aion, the shards can act as miniature security cameras that let him observe everything at different angles and lengths. Another is their automatic energy management system; with their built up energy, Aion can choose between two options: Self Repair or Attack. While the other is obvious, the second option is where this technique shines. When absorbing damage during battle, the shards store the properties and energy type of said attack, unless the shard is destroyed or the energy is used for another purpose, the exact attack can be returned at any moment.
Keres Arts - Due to the Leviathan's small population, they were constant victims of raids by pirates sailing the Agate sea; and because of their choice of living on Eliseia, enlisting help from nearby countries was nothing short of expensive. Growing tired of the whole situation, Aion set out on a four month journey to study the fighting styles of various well-known warriors of Dragonia. Upon his return to Cryaa, he presented the console with his research, as well as his solution: "The Keres Arts"; an art of fighting created and tested throughly by himself. Unlike other forms of combat, the Keres Arts are not about power and strength, but rather gracefulness, speed, and it's main focus, defense. However, the difference in defensive style is what greatly separates the Keres Arts from it's more, barbaric, and often predictable, styles. Instead of focusing on heavy blocking or normal reversals, the Keres Arts nudge it's user toward manipulation through analyzation, which leads to using an enemies own strength against them. Though not the main focus of this style, offense within the Keres Arts isn't nonexistent. Through a combination of quick, carefully aimed, strikes, in combination with water manipulation ability, the user is able to inflict internal damage by using the liquid or energy circulating within his opponents body to create high level vibrations.
1. Keres Puppetry - By connecting with pressure points or crucial chakra points on his opponents body, Aion can create "knots" of liquid or energy within his opponent. Almost instantly, the knots spawn threads; these threads make their way throughout the opponents body, making their exit through various pores. To the one with regular or slightly above average senses, they remain non existent. However, to one with the ability to see on the same level as Aion, they resemble multiple strands of thread exiting through the opponents pores. Though the threads themselves aren't in any way harmful to the victims body, when touched by Aion they grant him the ability to manipulate his opponents body as if they were a marionette. This technique comes as double edged sword for it's victim; it can be avoided very easily, but the price for this is a heavy one. One must overpower the threads, which is simple, but with constant use will leave Aion's opponent fatigued; giving the young warrior more openings.
2. Keres Negation - While Aion takes pride in using the traditional Keres Arts, the young warrior has contributed another secret weapon to this art. The ability to temporally disable multiple energy, elemental, and magical sources by severing an individual's "energy cords". In similar fashion to a lamp needing a electric socket to operate, every being is born with an energy cord that connects them to their source of power. However, very few beings are able to see or sense these cords, let alone touch them. By focusing a bit of energy around his hands or feet, Aion can sever these cords, leaving his opponent without the ability to perform elemental, energy, or magical based attacks or power ups for a short period of time. Naturally, one with the ability to manipulate energy, while not being able to repair the cords instantly, would be able to greatly speed up the repair process of their own cords.
Class III:
Howl Of Sorrow - The cost of gaining control over such a massive amount of power is a heavy one, in Aion's case he lost one of his most precious possessions, his ability to speak. Any attempt to use his vocal cords will trigger a highly destructive process that mimics Leviathan's roar; resulting in a sound too pure and loving for those that are tainted with evil, accompanied by another, tainted with too much darkness and hatred for those that are pure. One would think that damage could be avoided by simply covering your ears, they'd be wrong. Aion's voice works on a higher level than that of a normal persons, when he speaks the essential energies that make up reality vibrate. A mere whisper is enough to disable, or possibly even destroy, your average warrior. His normal tone could transform Lavertia into The Zolan Lands. A yell? Incomprehensible. Because of the destruction caused by using his voice, Aion wears a necklace attached to a crystallized drop of Leviathan's blood; as long as he wears this it negates the consequence of using his voice.
Reflection Of Tragedy - Using an Ice and spirit energy, Aion can form mirrors that act as portals to the spiritual realm. However, transporting himself to the spiritual realm is not the sole purpose of this ability. After spreading mirrors throughout the surrounding area, Aion will step into the one closest to him. At this point Aion's image will be generated onto every mirror he has created. Due to a handy trick the young Nenian invented, he is not in either realm, but rather somewhere in between them. Not only does this allow Aion to "jump" from mirror to mirror with relative ease and unmatched speed, without being noticed, but also creates dimensional "pockets" within the mirrors that produce these many "reflections", causing them to be seen, and do damage to an opponents body, on different levels of existence (ex. spiritual, physical, mental, etc.). Meaning they are not fake. Though the effect and strength of their attack varies from reflection to reflection, it is impossible for the target to judge which is the real Aion based on power level, appearance, or anything of that sort, and forces the unfortunate person to play a deadly guessing game.
Other Information:
Personality: Those unfamiliar with him would think that Aion would be an arrogant asshole due to his status among society, and this couldn't be further from the truth. He is a very laid back and carefree person at heart; who enjoys wondering around Dragonia with his head in the clouds and a smile on his face. Because of his unusually calm nature, Aion is seen by many as an inviting individual; making him quite the people person, this is slightly annoying to him as he doesn't like getting too much attention.
He loves to see people smile, and though he clearly doesn't care, this is the root cause behind some of his troubles with his superiors. He's just one of those people who gets his enjoyment from cheering up those around him, thus he tends to go out of his way to get his desired result. This sometimes ends in Aion completing missions late or "borrowing" money from the mission's funding to give to the less fortunate. His actions leave many of his peers questioning if he is even worthy his rank, and have even landed him up in court in the past; however, he always manages to talk his way out of trouble.
Though not may are aware, there is another side to Aion; a darker side that has left his comrades wondering if the happy-go-lucky person that they usually see is nothing more than an act to disguise his true intensions. As stated before, Aion is far from cold hearted; however, in battle he is no more merciful than Satan. If given a mission to assassinate parents in front of their child, he'll complete the mission with the utmost perfection; and walk past the newfound orphan without giving them the slightest glance or thought.
The tales surrounding Aion's battlefield exploits are numerous, it's been said that the young man's aura has a way of affecting the immediate area drastically. His very presence on the battlefield causes his surroundings grow eerily silent, as if those who haven't already retreated are afraid of interrupting his sadistic thoughts; it's not so much his power that is felt, but his murderous intent. This is mostly due to his shared connection to Leviathan, who's viciousness is said to strike fear into the hearts of the Heavens and Underworld. While it sounds harmless, the most memorable moment of these encounters is when Aion removes his glasses, revealing his glowing, labyrinth shaped, crimson eyes. Every presence of humanity is gone, his loving gaze now replaced by a look so sinister that it seems to draw out his enemy's deepest fears. Because of these traits those unfortunate enough to be present during his battles have dubbed him "The Crimson Scourge".
Aion tries his best to stray away from situations that would bring about this dreaded change in his humble personality. He doesn't embrace it like those around suggest he should; and openly express' his disgust of this embarrassing behaviour. This has led to his underworldly peers being very critical of him; saying that he is too relaxed, upbeat, and generous to be a member of the group. At worst, even speculating that he is secretly planning on destroying the group one by one.
Origin: Eliseia is known for many things: it's peaceful, but barren, scenery; the history of the Eliseans and so on. But little is known about it's darker side, the history of violence, the story of those who lost their lives during a civil war that was fought across Eliseia, and within the waters below. It was called "The Great Divide", and this battle for land would change the culture of Nenian's for years to come. It was during the war that two legends would emerge, leaving such an impact that they'd be refereed to as both gods and devils among future generations.
The first was Helel Xerxes. An oddball Nenian with an affinity for spirit energy, who was born on a small island just off the shore of the Zolan Lands, his mother was a noble, and his father a politician. Though it goes unsaid, Helel was quite well off, even when compared to his peers; so it came as a shock to his friends and family when he abandoned his bright future at an academy, opting for a career in the Eastern Unified Military(E.U.M.) at fourteen.
Because of his quick learning and eagerness to gain more experience on the battlefield, in just seven years Helel found himself leading a squad in the E.U.M.'s Berserker Division; a special group specifically sent in to completely annihilate enemy forces. Now known simply as "Tazym Uj Dha Aecdarn Cae"(Devil Of The Eastern Sea), Helel had become exactly what the E.U.M. needed during this time: a young, charismatic, and ridiculously talented soldier, with the charm, might, and intelligence needed to lead millions of individuals into battle. Over the course of seven years, Helel would become both a representative and a general to the E.U.M., leading his military into the northern and western seas around Eliseia; successfully eliminating all those who dared venture into his path.
The second was Malaika Zakiya. A woman of humble beginnings, Malaika was born in Cyraa, a surface colony governed by the Leviathan tribe; to a shaman mother, and a father who was a hunter. Because of her parents professions, Malaika often found herself traveling back and forth from Cyraa and The Circle of Eliseia; thus she only owned what was absolutely essential to her survival. This consisted of a few pelts, money, a sword, and rations.
Being the daughter of a shaman, it was obvious that Malaika would develop abilities akin to her mothers. However, in a shock to both her parents and the council of Cyraa, Malaika's powers matured quickly. What most Levithan shaman practiced a year to perfect, she mastered in a mere week. With that said, it still came as surprise when she surpassed Cyraa's current High Shaman. Malaika would spend five years under the High Shaman's wing; and on the sixth year, she inherited the position.
Under the leadership of Malaika, Cyraa prospered greatly by establishing a close relationship with The Circle of Eliseia; the once small settlement blossoming into a nation with it's own influence on Nenian culture. The E.U.M. was taken back by the progress of Cyraa. Up until now, the eastern Nenian tribes held the most influence within the Nenian community; the quick rise of Cyraa soon became a severe threat to their power. On a stormy night the eastern tribe leaders met in secret; it was decided that Cyraa would fall. Their "Golden Boy", Helel Xerxes, agreed to take on the mission.
Helel would reach without much trouble from opposing tribes; a smug smile appearing on his face as he planted his feet into the shore. Up until now, Eliseia had avoided his wraith. His plan was simple: killing Malaika after clear opposition toward Cyraa's actions by the E.U.M. would raise a red flag; there was one option left, kill the current High Priestess of Eliseia, Luneia; while posing as a member of the Leviathan.
Helel, along with four of his fellow soldiers, snuck into The Circle of Eliseia in the dead of night. It wouldn't take long for Helel to reach the chambers High Priestess. Without much effort he crept into her room and silently made his way toward her bed; raising his dagger into the air, he brought it down right where her throat would have been. Clank! In an unfortunate twist, Helel's dagger had made contact with another, much larger, blade. Quickly shifting to the right, Helel had escaped just as the large sword was brought upward in an attempt to slice him in two.
"Ah, Helel Xerxes, the son of the eastern tribes...it's an honour to be in your presence." A female voice spoke, a hint of humour present in her voice, as she arose from the bed. Helel could only curse himself in silence, he knew this voice, it was one the he wanted to avoid hearing until the war had almost come to a close. "I am Malaika Zakiya, High Shaman of the Leviathan clan. Welcome to Eliseia." The woman continued with a soft smirk. She raised her arm from her side slowly, as sign she wouldn't attack if Helel stayed in his place, and with a slight flick of her wrist, a secret door opened. Behind this door stood, two individuals; one well dressed man, and the true High Priestess of Eliseia.
"Andrak Mikomora..." Helel mumbled upon seeing the man. Invading Eliseia in secret was one thing, but marching into what could be considered Lavertian territory in what clearly was an act of war, while the monarch himself was present no less, was the worst of luck. The last thing the E.U.M. needed was the Dragonian involvement. His teeth were gritted...he wanted to scream out his frustration, this woman not only had him beaten as soon as he set foot inside the village, but ended the E.U.M.'s role in this war in a single move. Even worse, by wartime law, as leader of the opposing army and loser of the battle, Helel's fate was now in Malaika's hands. Luckily for him, the young High Shaman had a kind heart. "Your fellow soldiers may return home. However, you will stay under my supervision for a little while. Today you end your journey down that endless path of violence and destruction. From now on you'll be living under the peaceful ways of the Eliseans and Leviathan tribe." She ended her sentence with large smile and a wink.
Five years passed, and as is common with time, it was accompanied by change. New alliances were formed, and others were broken. However, to the surprise of many Eliseans and Nenians, Malaika and Helel's bond had strengthened considerably; their bond was so strong, that despite being an outsider, Helel would easily become aide to the High Shaman of the Leviathan. Among, these new changes, and perhaps the most prosperous, was the new treaty between many Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Nenian territories that was organized by Helel and Malaika during their travels.
Although this treaty would singlehandedly manage to eliminate years of ignorance on the Nenian's part in a relatively short time, rogue states still would remain a big problem within the community. These rogue states were largely made up of eastern Nenian tribes who still held a grudge against Helel, as well as Malaika; and nothing short of death was seen as appropriate punishment for the "traitor". This belief would lead to multiple acts of terrorism against the community, as well as numerous attempts of harming Helel and Malaika. Eventually, Helel reached his breaking point, announcing the rebirth of the Berserker Division. With memories of the last war still fresh within the minds of the Nenian people, his decision would cause an unexpected backlash; people accusing him of hypocrisy, approving of genocide, among other things.
With an increase in assassination attempts against Malaika and himself, and his lack of power to do anything to stop them, Helel would finally give in. During a meeting with Nenian council, it was decided that not only would Helel resign from his position, but also be exiled. Malaika pleaded for a lighter decision, but Helel only quieted her down; while she may be the High Shaman, her words were worthless in this situation. In the short time spent as her second in command, he had learned the politics of the council quite well; this decision wasn't about doing what was best for the people, it was about saving face. Everything had been approved before he and Malaika had even entered the meeting. Having this in mind, he only gave a polite bow and thanked the council for their "kind" decision. Helel would spend one last night with Malaika before he would set out on his new journey on Dragonia's surface.
Helel would live as a farmer on Rues. His days were normal and peaceful...well for an average person: Wake up, eat, tend to crops, eat, go to bed; this cycle would remain untouched for a year, until Helel received a visit from an unexpected guest. One sunny day while planting new seeds, Helel was greeted by a man accompanied by two plain clothed warriors.
"Are you here to taunt me Andrak...?" Helel asked annoyed, yet somewhat confused, by the monarch of Lavertia's presence.
"I assure you, I'm here to discuss an event of major importance. There's been a shake up within the Nenian Empire..." Andrak Mikomora replied.
As Andrak explained to Helel, even in his absence from the Nenian empire, Malaika would continue to fight Helel's exhibition in hopes of him being allowed back into community without being labelled as a criminal or otherwise; and as with his decision to reinstate the Berserker Division, this resulted in another strong backlash. With her back against the wall, and the knowledge that she would lose her position she used the only trump card she had left as High Shaman: declaring her nations independence from the empire.
The council's reply would be swift and unforgiving. Only hours after Malaika's announcement, Cyraa was invaded by the council's military. However, instead of being greeted by a battalion of Cyraa's finest soldiers, in front of Cyraa's stronghold stood Malaika ready for battle. The council's soldiers charged only to meet a painful death at the hands of the High Shaman; her movements where quick and fluid, it was as if the young woman could see the future. This battle would last hours before Malaika was eventually brought down by the special task force her own lover had created, the Berserker Division.
While her fate was obvious enough, Andrak dropped a bombshell on Helel...
"They didn't stop there, Helel. The council went as far as having the Berserker Division publicly execute her mother and father during the raid. I hear they have her locked up in Cyraa, and actually are allowing her to care for her newborn child, there has to be a reason for this...lord knows they aren't that merciful."
The news of Malaika hit Helel like a brick. However, there were other things to worry about; like how to reach Malaika and her child. With the help of Andrak Mikomora, Helel devised a plan to sneak into Cyraa; and later that evening, Helel would enter the Nenian settlement alone.
He would reach Malaika's cell with little trouble, smirking as he peaked through a small slit in the door. Resting peacefully in the corner of the cell was Malaika, and in her arms cooing was a baby boy no more than four months old. "Please...just a little longer. Just let me be with him for another hour..." The Malaika pleaded weakly.
Helel opened the door, a gentle smile appearing on his face. “I believe I told you to watch out for the Andrak; were you even aware that you had spies within your ranks, or were you that damn concerned with my reputation?" Malaika nearly broke down as she realized who the man was, she had no idea of where on Dragonia Helel was; thus no way of contacting him. She honestly thought this was the end of the road for her, as well as her child. After a brief embrace, Malaika introduced Helel to their son, Aion. While Helel would've loved to hold his child in his arms for hours, escaping was of more importance. Helel than escaped with his family to Eliseia. They would take up residence in The Circle of Eliseia for a little over five years.
From a young age Aion was knowledgeable of what he was, where he came from, and how he was different from the Eliseans he was so familiar with; and he showed it with his actions. To be blunt, Aion was a problem child and made his presence known to the Elisean community through various pranks; due to these actions he was somewhat shunned by his classmates. Because of this he spent much of his time under the watchful eye Lady Luneia, she was practically forced to be his tutor, as other teachers refused to put up with his pranks and playful personality. Sadly, Aion's childhood would soon come to an end.
During class Aion suddenly collapsed from a high fever; his skin becoming slightly transparent, revealing what looked like glowing green liquid flowing through his veins. Luneia, unfamiliar with these symptoms, rushed Aion to a nearby medic where she was met by Helel and Malaika. Instantly, Malaika recognized the symptoms; it was what the Leviathan tribe's shamans called "Neon Rejection". The Leviathan believe that they share a to Dragonia itself, even more so than the Dragonians; and when an individual with enough power to become a shaman began to developed their power they were judged by the planet. Those who were of pure intention were allowed to continue to develop; however, those who had any malice, no matter how small, were judged accordingly. This at it's worst resulted in Neon Rejection, an act were Dragonia would purge itself of the said person. Of course, getting the cure was the tricky part. Pleading their case to the guardian of Dragonia would be useless since it would mean going against the planet's wishes; the only choice they had was to visit Leviathan herself. Helel and Malaika gathered Aion and the necessary supplies and left The Circle of Eliseia.
Two weeks later Aion reappeared on Luneia's doorstep alone. His clothes were horrible condition, and hardly ideal for Eliseia's climate. His body was covered in cuts, blood, bruises, and dirt..and there were no signs of his parents; it would be impossible for a child to survive alone in Eliseia for a day, but all signs pointed to this child being alone for at least a week. Perhaps the most disturbing thing she noticed was the change in Aion's eyes; his once deep blue irises had been replaced by glowing crimson labyrinths. Just looking into his eyes gave Luneia a dark feeling, it was like he could see into her everything, her sins, her darkest secrets. When he was asked about the fate of Helel and Malaika or meeting Leviathan Aion couldn't recall a single detail. All that aside, one thing was clear...Aion had been cured.
At fourteen Aion left Eliseia for Lavertia, where he now serves under Andrak Mikomora as an ambassador of Lavertia. His first act as ambassador was to negotiate with the Nenian council for Cyraa's independence. It was unexpected, but in the end Aion did manage to free Cyraa from the council's rule. Though as Andrak put it...
"I only wish you would have used more peaceful means..."
Aion just recently joined Hell's legion. However, unlike his peers who did it for power, greed , or respect, the young Nenian joined in hopes of finding Hashim Kabira, a fallen angel once known as "Azrael"; who was last seen holding off a seemingly immortal Hakuto during the conflict caused by the magic mirror.
Alliance: While you could refer to him as an neutral, Aion merely a realist. He holds no real allegiance to anything or anyone. Although he usually means well, Aion is what some would call a backstabber; he has an important goal in life, and like most, he possesses a great eagerness to reach that goal before time runs out. So as long as you can gain his attention with a decent offer, he's your best pal. However, there is a small exception to this behaviour. Because of being taken under the wing of the high priestess of Eliseia, Luneia, in his time of need, Aion carries an odd sense of accountability for both The Circle of Eliseia and Cyraa's population; thus he will protect and carry out any act for these communities as long as the reasoning behind it is just.
