(OOC: This thread was written by both Zolomon and myself, you know what that means. Enjoy.)
In a large shadowy room, deep within a building in a secret location a rather large circle consisting in a total of nine chairs, not eight for that would be one too little and not ten for that be one too many. Each chair spaced out from the next, a space of roughly two to three feet between each of them, and rather large in size, easily big enough for the largest of men, as they seemed fixed down to the flow beneath them. High above the centre of a room was a single window, sort of high up within a faunal that the ceiling shaped into, it letting in only an ounce into the centre of the room; it was safe to say that whomever funded the creation of this place had a pretty penny.
Suddenly the silence of the room was broken as two large wooden doors opened and a small group of people moved slowly into the room, all of them shrouded in the shadows that the outside of the circular room provided, all of them in completed silence, they’re footsteps echoing out through the empty room. As the number of chairs stated there wouldn’t surely be nine figures to move into the room, the identity and sex of these people remained a mystery for the moment that only those within the room and the shadows they moved through would know, but alas there was only seven figures; two were missing.
Moving silently through the room the seven individuals moved to a chair, all of which seemed to have been designated prior, and sat down. After a few brief moments the seven began to converse in several different conversations with each other as they seemingly waited for something. However, what that ‘something’ was on the other hand was, for the moment, unknown. One, of a masculine build, span his chair around and pointed something towards the wall behind him. Almost instantly a large screen began its decent from the shadows above before a flash of white light ignited and a car shot past with guns blazing from several men leaning out of its windows; and the television was turned on.
“Those two are always Goddamn late,” the figure who turned on the television exclaimed. “We all get up off of our arses to get here on time, so why can’t those bastards? Friggin’ cock munchers,” he continued, as he lit up a cigarette. “They’re lucky they’ve got all this technology at our disposal…otherwise I’d get tired of all this shit and kick their arses.”
“Will you be quiet you inconceivably annoying mortal.” Another man from across the room quickly spat, interrupting the man watching the TV before he could speak another sentence. “I’m sick of your complaining, every time we come here. Now shut up before I-”
“Before you what, bitch?” the man quickly interrupted with, leaning back in his chair far enough to see his now upside down aggressor, the ember of his cigarette illuminating a wirily grin as he blew smoke at him from across the room.
“You know, those things will give you cancer. And they shrink your testicles, not to mention hinder your sexual capabilities.”
“Go to hell.”
“Already have.”
“Now, now. Be good, you two, or I’ll KEEEL YOU!” A third voice interrupted their friendly conversation.
There was a moment of silence, and then the two bickering men replied in unison: “Shut the hell up, turd.” “Shut the hell up, turd.” Realizing their matching choice of words and timing, the two exchanged glances and seemed to settle down for a moment, which wasn’t a second too soon, as the doors opened momentarily and two new figures, cloaked in shadow, entered. “Enjoying ourselves, are we?”
“Don’t make me hurt you. What are we here for?” most others in the room grumbled in agreement. They were all busy men and had things to do.
“Don’t get too excited there, Lucy. We’re here with good news, we just had to ascertain the information. Everything is going according to plan. In fact, things are moving ahead of schedule. Seems like *they* are more enthusiastic than we had expected, but it only works best for us. We are ready to begin Phase 2 of the sweeping, and testing *his* power is going to be our top priority.” The second character who had just come in replied.
“So... he’s finally arrived? About bloody time. Does that mean we start?” The excitement in his voice was clear.
“Not quite yet, my hyperactive friend. But soon.” The speaker grinned, a chilling and frightening smirk that sent a wave of coldness through the entire room. “Very soon... we move....”
