"SHIT!" Cham said his eyes going wide. He had completely forgotten. "DAMMIT! Her God put a curse on her, I called her an angel and now he's causing her pain. Shota, help me out here!" He said, looking to a somewhat shocked looking Shota.
"What's a god?" she said, under her breath, but her hands went up the same time Cham's did. Both Elicoorian's began to glow a bright green light, though Cham's was ther brighter of the two, Shota's was close in heel. The green light poured forth, wrapping itself around Shizuka. It seemed so intricate in it's simplicity. Each light that wrapped itself around Shizuka could easily be diserned from which individual it came from, but the two green lights did not mix. In fact, it seemed to be purpously stopping from touching entirely.
"Good job Shota, keep it up, just like in training," he said with a nod.
"Right," Shota said. She wasn't as strong with webs as Cham was, but she was good in her own right.
Cham explained a while back ago how Channeled Energy works but casting web patterns. He also told them that if one healer started a job and couldnt finish, a second healer would only cause more damage. This was due to the fact that each web pattern was different within each user. The end results are the same, such as a Channeled Force web healing a person's wounds, but the webs that the user casts are completely different from the others. Thus, for another healer to try healing over, or working on top of another healer's web pattern, would only cause more damage, tearing the wounds, causing strain.
"Keep focused Shota, her pain is strong, her god lays down horrible curses upon his subjects. I was so stupid, I can't believe I forgot!"
"Chameleon Roughnight, pay attention to what you are doing this instant. Wallowing right now wont help anything. Stop thinking of the problem, and concentrate on the solution!"

Neither Elena nor Kihaku had been prepared for this sudden turn of events, and though one might think it untrue, Kihaku was really more distressed than Elena, though she wasn't nearly as practiced at hiding it. For Kihaku, he had only been assuming that she didn't want to let go so as to be rediculous and spunky as she always was, only this time it was because her body had been in such pain her fingers had convulsed around his neck... and he never suspected a thing.
The pair of them hung back, awaiting an outcome.

While Shizuka stayed on her knees, she held her head, her wings flurttering very quickly behind her, she continued to cry. But slowly very surely her body started to calm down and her wings wrapped around her body. "it..it hurts so much" she mummbled quietly to herself. "Please, no one,....never say anytthing about me being an angel infront of anyone please...." she whimpered. Her cheeks bright red.

(( ooc: not sure if that means im supposed to stop it... ))
The green light continued to swirl around Shizuka, carressing her body, blocking out most of the pain, if not everything.

The whimpering form was suddenly too much to bear, and with nothing more than a swish of fabric, Shizuka was instantly up in Kihaku's arms, lifting her from the ground as if she were no heavier than a child's doll. He held her close enough to his body to comfort her, yet far enough for it to not be mistaken for tenderness. His hood was still down, yet for all of the emotion that one could glean from his face it might as well have been up, not a single thought betrayed by his stoic features. His disconcerting red eyes appraised the poor angel for the breifest of moments before looking back to the other three.
"She should be fine. I'll take her back to the inn and have her rest."
"Put her in my bed, it'll be easier than getting another room for her."
With the barest hint of a nod, Kihaku dissapeared like a whisp of smoke, taking Shizuka's quivering form with him. Elena sighed in resignation, her stomach growling piteously for sustenance. Coming up behind the siblings, she touched Shota gently on the shoulder with one hand and wrapped her other hand around Chameleon's little finger, tenderly giving both a small nudge. "Hey, c'mon, let's see if we can find something to eat that'll be easy on our stomachs. I get the feeling we wouldn't be able to stand something as strong as I'd planned."

As Shizuka was picked up by Kihaku, her wings disappeared, her hair becaming shorter and her eyes were a lighter pink. It looked very strange, but yet calming when her wings disappered since she looked like she had glitter behind her. She grabbed onto Kihaku's shirt to give herself support but yet to makesure she wasnt being taken away she didnt want to go to. She whimpered quietly to herself. She didnt think that being back with everyone would cause pain. She didnt know shota but now she knew her secret too. I hope everything will be okay. She just wished Cham wasnt mad at her.

Cham looked after Kihaku carrying Shizuka away. "What did I do?"
Shota walked over to him, her cold exterior not showing any emotion yet again as she placed a hand on her younger brother's shoulder, looking him straight in the eyes.
*swack*
Shota's hand shot hard acorss his cheak. "You messed up Chameleon Roughnight, and because of your self loathing in the middle of the Joint Web Pattern, you almost hurt her more. How many times have you learned to concentrate on the solution, not on the problem!?" she said looking down at him. Finally, her cold emotionless stare evaporated to one of almost saddness, and one that said that she knew all to well what he was going through. She bent low and gave him a hug.
"I am sorry SME," he said, the word sounding like smee.
She straighted up, rubbing his shoulders. "Go with Elena, find some food, I will see to Shizuka, make sure she is alright. That's an order child." She said in a diffinitive tone that made it clear it wasnt a debate.
"Yes ma'am," he said turning and grabbing Elena on the shoulder, giving it a firm squeeze. "I am sorry to you too Elena, for having to whitness a misteak like that from me. I feel bad that I caused a friend so much pain," he said, his eyes looked closer to gray than green and purple at the moment, which gave proof to his sorry.
"Come back in an two hours, I'll explain things to Shizuka"

Elena's right hand came up and rested on his as it lay on her shoulder, her soft eyes staring into his and attempting to comfort him by sending waves of comfort and sympathy. She slid closer under his arm, now around both shoulders, and leaned up to lay a peck his cheek. Leaning her head against him, she rubbed his back comfortingly and lead him away from the scene of their accident. "S'ok Cham, it's okay. It was an accident, and those are made every day. Don't dwell on it, it'll all be forgotten in a day or so."
They eventually came to a small, quiet place that offered a good number of tantalyzing smells and sights. Finding a table was easy, so Elena made certain to sit next to Chameleon and give him comforting rubs on his arms every now and then.
"Can I order you anything? A good drink? Foods? Anything?"
===============================
The pair of them had reappeared in Elena's room, just as she'd offered. With a word, a stiff breath of air pulled back the covers on the bed and Kihaku gently placed her on the soft mattress. For a moment, he remained leaning over her, his disconcerting red eyes looking over her face for signs of pain, her body for the rise and fall of her chest as she continued to breathe, any indicator that she was in any more danger of an angelic attack.
"Will you be alright? Did you need anything?"
His voice didn't betray his concern, sounding more like an alert attendant who had noticed his employer had an empty water glass. Still, he tenderly lifted the blankets in place, careful not to disturb her or cause any more pain than she had already been through.

Shizuka very softly winced when her body had been laid on the bed. She whimpered for a moment before stopping. She closed her eyes and turned her body a little bit to get in a better position. Before Kihaku could put the blanket over her body, he could see the two red stains on her back, right below her shoulders.
"Thank you so much, im fine, it just feels ike something is tingling inside my body, like something messed up. I hope i will be alright.." she whispered loud enough, since she didnt want to talk. She didnt blame Cham for hurting her, it was a mistake and Shota should know anyway, she is part of Kihaku's and Cham's life, she should be part of Shizuka's life also. "Tell Cham, 'thank you for healing me' "putting her arms under her head/shoulders she kept her eyes closed and continued to breath. Very slowly, but steady.

Shota leaned down next to Shizuka, leaning close to her face. On her features, that would look very odd to anyone who's known her for long, was a warm hearted smile, full of kindness. One that seemed to match Cham's in every way.
"I'm still unsure about what ails you, though Cham seemed to know more than I, he was hitting the major areas with his Channeled Energy, I was sort of picking up the residuals..." she closed her mouth and shook her head. "It's not important. What is important is making you feel better,"
Shota put her thumb onto Shizuka's forehead and pushed lightly on it. If Shota was doing this right, which she normally did, this pressure point would ease a lot of pain that was internal that she couldn't find with her Channeled Energy. Not everything can be cured by smothering people with Channeled Force.

(( sorry, had to rush, here is Cham's side ))
Chameleon looked over at Elena and gave a sad smile. "I just feel horrible in doing so... because..." he said his eyes looking to the table. "I was angry at her, at Kihaku too. I've never seen Kihaku hug someone like that. Do you think... do you think that he's in love with Shizuka?" he said with a sigh rubbing his temples.
"I'm sorry, it's stupid, I dont know what I'm thinking. Everything is happening so quickly and fast, all these things. People attacking me, wanting to destroy everyone and everything, memories being torn away, it's all beginning to be too much to deal with," he spoke, his fists tightening, his breathing seemed to be almost labored.
"I'm... I'm just tired of... everything, and everyone trying to hurt and kill me. I can't be accepted no matter where I go. Elicoori, Dragonia, everything rejects me. Everything I touch seems to become tainted. Even my own sister has become Forsaken because of me," His brow started to sweat.
"I'm done caring."
There seemed to be, at that moment, a burst of energy that wasnt as it should have been. A wierd kind of momentary energy that seemed short lived. It would only have been detectable by the Chaos Spirits. It would have been like something had crossed to the Realm of the Living but seemed to... die as it did so. But the place where it came from would have been easy to spot. It was like it came from Chameleon.
A visable change came over Cham too, though hardly noticable. His eyes grew darker shades of green and purple, his eyes narrowing into a scowl.

"She's an angel, an agent of goodness that works directly under a supreme being dedicated to life and the creation all things pure... to put it simply." Now that an experienced healer was around, Kihaku was free to do his thing: find a corner to sulk in and just be dark and mysterious. Adopting his signature pose, he leaned against the point where two walls met, arms crossed over his chest, only for once his hood wasn't up to hide his face. "This being, 'God,' as he calls himself, allows her to walk amongst mortals on the condition that no one knows of her heritage. When anyone new finds out, he punishes her in this manner." His crimson eyes, though lacking pupils, seemed to be looking in the direction of the bed, but this was debatable as one couldn't ever really tell where he seemed to be looking.
"It was a good thing you were around. I've seen Chameleon in an agitated state, and he makes misteaks when upset." It was then he finally saw the family resemblance between them, and it made the right corner of his mouth curl up in humor. "He takes after you, in a manner of..."
Kihaku suddenly pushed away from the wall, standing ramrod straight and his face going as blank and cool as a block of marble. From under his shirt, one could see a faint red glow on the left side of his chest, his Mark of Chaos giving off its signature light as if in alarm. "Something's wrong."
=================================
"I was angry at her, at Kihaku too. I've never seen Kihaku hug someone like that. Do you think... do you think that he's in love with Shizuka?"
"What, you jealous that Shizuka gets all the hugs?" She was kidding of course, though there was that little voice nagging in the back of her head that it wasn't Shizuka he was jealous of.
"I'm sorry, it's stupid, I dont know what I'm thinking. Everything is happening so quickly and fast, all these things. People attacking me, wanting to destroy everyone and everything, memories being torn away, it's all beginning to be too much to deal with. I'm... I'm just tired of... everything, and everyone trying to hurt and kill me. I can't be accepted no matter where I go. Elicoori, Dragonia, everything rejects me. Everything I touch seems to become tainted. Even my own sister has become Forsaken because of me."
"Hey, hey now, what's with this hamburger-talk now, huh? It was an accident, nothing more." She reached out and put a hand on his, rubbing his thumb gently with hers in an attempt to be there for him. Though he couldn't remember their past together, at least she could be there for him now, and be the friend he needed.
"I'm done caring."
Instantly, a shock ran through his arm that was so intense it made Elena involuntarily jerk her hand away. It was as if a burning electricity had jolted through his skin and directly into her spirit, shaking her down to her very core. Rubbing her palm, she looked quickly from it, to Chameleon, to his hand, and back to him.
"Cham? What's-"
She was cut off as suddenly her own Mark of Chaos started glowing, drawing her immediate attention. However, unlike Kihaku's, hers was so bright it could be clearly seen, despite the layer of fabric between her skin and the open air, as if the tattoo existed directly on the sleeve rather than on her skin. Coupled with that, the red seemed to writhe with shocks of black, as if one were looking through a window into a sea of fire held back only by this net of dark energy that moved to constantly contain it.
Her heart and gut frozen solid, her gaze slowly slid back to the young Elicoori boy with fear showing clearly in her shining, brown sugar eyes.
"Chameleon... You okay?"
==================================
Kihaku rushed over to Shizuka's bedside, kneeling down and whispering in her ear, "Shizuka, Shota and I need to find Elena and Chameleon to let them know you're okay." It was a bald-faced lie, but the young angel had no reason to suspect so, and there was no hint in his voice to contradict his statement. "We'll be back soon, promise."
Straightening, he pulled Shota's hand from the angel's forehead and forced her to stare into Kihaku's disconcerting eyes. They were so close together, they might as well have been sharing an embrace, though the Chaos Spirit's overall demeanor one of violent urgency. "We're going."
With that, he teleported the pair of them out of the room and instantly behind Elena, who was still staring at Chameleon in a mixture of fear and shock. "Elena, what's-" Staring at the young man, he knew instantly what had happened, his own Mark of Chaos now looking exactly the same as Elena's. "Oh for fuck's sake."

Chameleon looked up at them, his eyes still cast in a scowl. "Why is everyone so clingy and shit," He said standing up, pushing away from the table. He moved out onto the open floor. "I'm getting quite a bit annoyed by all this touchy feely you all keep doing." he said looking at Kihaku and Shota, Kihaku had Shota by the hand.
"Let me tell you guys something, and this has been on my chest for a while now." he said as he spat on the floor.
"Elena" he said, looking to the girl still sitting at the table. "The demon took my memory of you away, but why can't it return? Is it because I don't want it to? Wouldn't I be better off with someone who I could grow old with? It's not the demon's fault anymore. I've never said I loved you because I never did." he said looking at her hard before turning.
"Shota, you've always believed you were stronger than I. But who is better at touching Chaos Energy? Please, you've always been the know it all bitch of the family, the freak that grew far beyond her mind. I'm tired of you acting so superior towards me, like you know more." he said rolling his eyes looking at Kihaku.
"And you. You've put me near death multiple times, you've never cared about people in your sad miserable existance because you fear the pain that will come with it. You are weak. And, instead of trying to find your happiness, you leach off of someone elses happiness. You take Shizuka, the girl you know I've cared for. Which is just as well, she's a whiney little bitch anyways. Worshiping a person whom will so readily cause her pain and suffering. I don't feel sorry for her in the least bit, she's brought these things upon herself."
He shook his head in as if depressed. "You see. All three of you. You guys always knew that I was better than you. Elena, you knew you could never have me, Shota, I've always been better than you at everything, and Kihaku, I've had more compassion than you could ever have, and you hate that. Well, I'm done. I'm done trying to please you three, I'm done trying to act like nothing is ever wrong. Done trying to be cheerful and happy. I can't believe I looked up to you like a father Kihaku. You are weak. You dont deserve happiness!"
A black energy began to float around Chameleon. It looked like ripples in a pond that died out quickly. A darker than dark, black taint that didnt belong. It gave Chameleon a demonic look.
When the next words came from Cham's mouth, it sounded as if two people talking at once. Both of them seemed like his voices, only one was normal, the other was angry.
"This planet rejects me, such as Elicoori did. If it wont accept me willingly, I'll just have to force it." he said picking up a hand, his veins stood out as if he were flexing hard, only the veins were black as the energy floating around him. His hand reached high over his head and the blackness of the energy enveloped him and, as if time was reversing, the ripples reversed, collapsing in on themselves until they were gone, with Chameleon as well.
Shota fell to her knees on the floor, tears flowing from her eyes freely. "What happend? That wasn't my Chameleon... what happend... to him?" she said shaking her head.

Elena and Kihaku seemed frozen in place, Elena with her hand over her mouth, eyes filled with shock and anxiety, Kihaku staring at the space Chameleon had occupied only seconds before. Their Marks were quickly fading from view, becoming nothing more than red marks on their skin, finally fading to black as the seconds passed.
"What happend? That wasn't my Chameleon... what happend... to him?"
Kihaku bent down, sliding his hand under her arm, lifting gently and drawing her to her feet. It pained him to see such a powerful force as Shota's mask, the wall erected around her heart, to be brought down so easily. He didn't pull her toward him in a hug as he would have with Elena or Shizuka, she would never accept such a gesture from him, instead he simply stood there, watching her and making sure he could support her should she feel like falling again.
Recovering from the initial shock, Elena turned towards Kihaku with tears in her eyes, several already flowing over her cheeks. Reaching out, she put a hand on his elbow, drawing his attention away from the Elicoorian.
"Kihaku... that... was that...?"
"Dark matter."
Her fears confirmed, her heart plummeted, and her chin sunk to her chest, the tears now flowing unimpeded down her face, soaking into her shirt. This time, Kihaku drew the girl to him, and she wrapped her arms around his waist, seeking comfort from the marble coolness that was his solid form.
"Come, Shizuka should not be left alone."
============================================
Several hours later, the four companions sat and lay about the room in complete silence. Elena and Shizuka were both asleep, the angel in the bed, the Spirit in a chair, Shota and Kihaku stood by the only window in the room. The inn sat on top of a hill, a sheer cliff face directly outside their room gave them a spectacular view of the village as the sun began to set below the horizon. The sky was blazing a vicious yet beautiful orange and red, flames in the sky burning away the day to make way to the cool, womb-like night.
They both stood with their arms crossed over their chest, faces completely blank of emotion, the only indication that either was alive was the steady movement of their chests as they breathed. Thus far, Shota had demanded answers from the Chaos Spirits, but Elena was too upset to give any sort of detailed description, and Kihaku needed time to sort everything out, promising to tell all once Shizuka awoke.
"Shota..." His face turned an infintesimal amount towards the Elicoorian, his voice barely above a whisper. "Before I explain everything... I just want to say that I'm sorry... for everything. What I've said... what I've done... I'm sorry."

As Shizuka slept on the bed, she rustled around while sleeping. She had such a odd feeling and it did not feel good in the odd way. She slept for hours, they pain in her body slowly but very surely disappeared and she woke up. But she didn't do it so quickly, just laying in bed and kept her eyes closed. She happened to hear Kihaku say sorry to Shota and she felt a little shocked, Kihaku just seemed so hard on himself that he wouldn't want to say sorry. But why did Kihaku say sorry? She sat up slowly rubbing her eyes. "What happened KIhaku? Why are you apologizing to Ms.Shota?"
