"What the hell is he doing so far away!?" Cham said, sounding almost exactly like Kihaku for a moment. Cham looked down and smiled at Elena who was talking about the new creation of Atsuko's. He caught his tonge before he said 'Or i'll have to kill it' when Elena said that she'd have to take care of it and make sure it didnt hurt anyone.
Cham sat down on a log and gave a long sigh. "Kihaku will be here soon Elena, and he will be aching with questions already, I can tell." he said looking down as his hand began to glow. His fingers began moving, as if it were creating or drawing something in the air, though nothing really appeared. In many ways, he was like that spider Atsuko just created, weaving a web.
It was his Channeled Energy. It was a Energy that came naturally to his people on Elicoori, though it had been so long since he was there. The energy was channeled through the mind and produces through the hands. The green glow at the hands was the signal that the person was using Channeled Energy, though extreme conditions might cause the whole body to glow with the energy. While using Channeled Energy, the user begins to write specific patterns, using his fingers and his mind. All fingers are used in this process and a specific design is made with the mind. The fingers are mearly a tool to help the mind. These patterns are known as a Channeled Web. Each web is intricately different for each user, and creating new strands to create new skills can be dangerous for if the web pattern grows to taught, the Channeled Energy could snap, causing shooting pains up the user's body, specifically more so in the mind and fingers. Cham had to be very careful. His healing, however, came almost second nature so it was almost instant. His other skills took a little more time, like his Channeled Lightning attack.
Cham's hand stopped glowing. "Not close..." he muttered under his breath and his hand began glowing once more.

As Cham wiggled his fingers and worked as he did, Atsuko listened intently to the wisdom that Elena offered. She was indeed beautiful... seeing her this close up was only more direct to that point: she was a gorgeous creature indeed. She spoke truths... She did, through the creation of life, have to deal with a lot of responsibility most people never had to worry about. She was, after all, making all new life, with only the place in the world that she gave them to be their guide...
She had an enormous responsibility in the ability to create life like she did. Looking down at her spidery son, she kissed him between the eyes and he stroked her cheek with a forelimb affectionately. He innately understood human affections to a doglike degree, she noted... probably from the strong feelings she had about her pet when she was young. As she held the creature against her chest, she smiled at Elena and nodded a little.
"I know... but... its good to be reminded, Elena... Especially by someone who seems to know what they're talking about." she said, very kindly as she scritched her son's abdomen, recieving a warm little chittering sound and a playful bat at her hand. "You surprise me a little, Elena..." she murmured, and allowed her creation to roll out of her lap onto the ground once more, where it would scurry off towards Cham as its mother watched.
Innocently, the spiderling watched him... watched him weave the Channeled energy with his fingers, gradually starting to attempt to mimic his motions with its two forelimbs. At first, it was akward, but as it watched, it got a little better at it, pausing now and then to watch him more closely, then try again. It wasn't anywhere near what Cham could do... but it was probably the most sincere form of flattery imaginable: it was trying its little heart out to mimic his motions.

Elena was pleased with Atsuko's response, beginning to believe that perhaps this young woman would prove to be a powerful being that valued honor and nobility, as a true goddess would. She definitely still had that youthful innocence, a rare commodity these days, which would prove to be a weakness in the beginning of her travels and tribulations, but eventually it would be tempered by experience, and become her greatest strength.
She was liking the young girl already.
The Chaos Spirit sat down next to Atsuko to watch the small, newborn spider with interest and a smile on her face. The creature was fuzzy, brown, docile, and very affectionate, but on the downside, it was a big spider. Still, it reminded her of a tumor in a funny way: it was starting to grow on her. Atsuko remarked that she surprised the budding goddess, and all Elena did was smile wider. "Believe me, we've only just met, the surprises keep coming. I may not be a god, but a long time ago, back when I was a part of a group of five, we created half a dozen or so life forms of our own with their own personality traits, powers, and strengths.
"Unfortunately," Elena's smile turned to one of chagrin, "One left to persue the path of light, and the other the path of darkness. As only three, we simply could not control them, and only a few months ago they wreaked havoc across the planet." She turned to Atsuko with a blush and fully embarrased look on her face. "It was a tad of a mess. Fortunately, we cleaned up, no problem. That was when I first met... Cham."
She paused just before saying his name, as if several thoughts and emotions had tried to crowd into her head at the same time. Her eyes involuntarily flicked to the young man, and then quickly away. When Atsuko again looked into her gaze, it was misted with an aching sadness that might never be dispelled. "The end result itself was just as much of a mess. Metapha, somewhere on the coast, was turned into a lush, beautiful place... but Cham was imbued with Chaos Energy, a foreign substance to his spirit. Now, as a mortal who knows some of the ways of our energy, he has become sort of a focus point between our two worlds." Elena swiped her hair back behind her ears, and rested her left arm on her right shoulder, obviously distressed. [orange]"It sometimes makes him unpredictable in a fight, but more powerful than he would ever have otherwise become... and I get scared for him."
Suddenly sniffling and rubbing her eyes with her left hand, she forced a small laugh before collecting herself once more to hold an actual conversation with the young girl. [orange]"Listen to my dumb self, blabbing all this time. Sorry, I didn't mean to be such a downer."
Seconds later, a powerful energy emission spiked to the south, and Elena instantly recognized its signature. Cham would definitely know who it came from, but only she would know what precisely it meant. A small dot was clearly visible on the horizon, quickly growing larger and larger, until that dot not only became distinguishable as a man, but also as a man with his aura misting from his body like indigo smoke.
Mere moments later, he disappeared from sight, instantly reappearing equidistant from the two girls and the young man. Fully seven feet tall, the man towered over everyone assembled. His wiry frame was well-muscled, visible by the broad shoulders and v-shaped upper body. His clothing consisted entirely of black, from his long-sleeved turtle neck shirt, right down to the thick black boots. Across his chest was a belt that supported the long staff on his back, a second around his waist to carry his only apparent blade. The sheath was so dark it seemed to suck in the light rather than seem merely black.
His gloves too were black, and the cloth wrapped around his shoulders and head gave the appearance that he wore a hood, and the gloom within hid his face so completely that the only thing visible were his blood-red eyes, smoldering from within its depths. His entire body seemed to give off a purple mist, though it was, in reality, his physical manifestation of the energy pulsating just beneath the surface.
After a moment, he ceased to emanate this unique aura, and his breathing resumed as per usual. The crimson orbs within his cowl slitted a little as he scowled at the group assembled, though whether it was anger or frustration was yet to be seen. He stalked silently forward towards Cham, who, by now, would be standing, glad to see his former teacher and closest friend on the entire planet. Staring hard, it was a few seconds before someone broke the silence.
"Are you gonna say 'hi,' or just stare lovingly into his eyes for a while longer?"
The large man turned partially towards Atsuko and Elena, "I suppose you two decided to run away the ONE time I decide that I would like a few hours sleep?" He turned back to Cham, "You are extremly lucky I'm not your teacher anymore, or I'd kick your ass hard enough to prevent you from sitting properly for a week. As it is..." he stepped back a foot and nodded slightly, "I'm pleased you're both still alive"

"FA!" Cham began, his mouth was open in a smile but the full extent of the word never came to be. Finally, more words continued. "Kihaku, it's nice to see you are well. Everything has been so haywire lately." though Cham had heard the thread to his butt, he didnt pay it any heed, it was something Kihaku said often, either that or something else ill will towards his health.
Chameleon walked forward and shot exasperated look to Elena but smiled in the end. He felt great to see them both at the same time. He didnt know if it was him being the Gate or just that he had such a deep connection with the two, he didnt know. He knew there was one other Chaos Spirit he knew nothing about. Reiaz. He hoped he would get to meet him again one day. To learn more about him.
That started a thought in Cham's head. He was a Gate of Chaos, though not a Chaos Spirit like Elena and Kihaku. That meant nothing really entirely, that he knew of at least. It didnt make him feel any different at least. He wondered now what it meant besides having a wierd symbol on his upper arm, that was covered at the moment. His frame and looks, what looked like a tattoo didnt fit him. But it left him the questions: Does it mean that they cross through me or what? Does this mean I can go into the Other Realm? What happens if the Gate re-opens?

Atsuko smiled as Mwin returned cheerfully to her arms, his little body bouncing as he bounded into his mother's arms. As she stroked the child creature, she thought back... to every other creation she had ever made, and given to them the breath of life.
Her first... was perhaps a little selfish. It was simply a creature to keep her company. This was when she was just developing her powers, and nobody would accept her. She remembered back to those days, that really were only a couple months ago... but felt so far away with how much she had grown since then. It was... sad though, how it ended up.
It was a simple creature, like a ball of fuzz. Really, she'd pulled it from her own hair, and used her gum and whatever else she could find to give it shape. It was mishmash... an innocent creature made as the first creation at the hands of a newborn, but she loved it. It was so like a doll, sharing what little she had for the happy company it provided her.
When the Metaphan govornment learned of their incumbent little goddess, she was branded a threat to national security. With how weak she was, she was easy to capture and secure, her creation taken from her. To this day, she has no idea what happened to him... but something told her, even then, that he was alive, somewhere. Strangely, rather than destroy her, they tried to control her. Really, she was thankful to them for their understanding and generosity when nobody else would lift a finger, not even her family. Were they really that nice...? Sometimes, she questioned. They did, however, help her to harness her powers better... work miracles in their name of their divinity... Those days were not so long ago.
Kihaku's very sudden appearance jarred Atsuko from her dreamy daze, as Mwin sensed something unusual from Kihaku and curled defensively against its mother. Hell, all of them were slightly unnatural... She could tell that at the drop of a dime. All of them. Herself most definately included. Smiling, Atsuko gently stood and affixed her eyes upon the man. Her gaze was easily felt, but hardly piercing... she decided that this man could be dangerous, and her knowing too much might be bad, at least until she got to know him... perhaps that was safe, judging by how they'd reacted to her powers before. He was, though, indeed Kihaku. She'd have to be introduced to him by the other two.
His mother's boldness was well recieved by Mwin, whom slowly uncurled and stared at Kihaku with his big, innocent eyes, full of curiosity. If mother could stand in his presence, he could stand not to hide from him either.

Cham moved away slightly and brought up his hands. "Kihaku, I've been working on this Channeled Web design before you showed up. I think I've come really close to completing it, you should see it, I think it'll be great!" he said holding up his hand, making it glow very brightly as his fingers began working through the web pattern.
The Channeled Web he was weaving was a very fragile thing, taking bits of time and space around it but not actually effecting it. That was how it was able to Channel things such as lightning without actually making it come from the heavens. It was as close as Cham could ever come to discribing it. He had come close to tearing the web when he fused it with Chaos Energy during the battle with Dramanius. Then, he cast a very powerful blast of Channel and Chaos energies into a ball that shot towards Dramanius. The ball itself, as it traveled, looked to have been bending time and space with it. Cham had tried multiple times but couldnt replicate that attack again.
His fingers were moving rapidly, faced in the direction of Kihaku. The glowing began getting brighter, the green almost becoming a white in color.

Elena was fascinated with what Chameleon was managing to accomplish. She had never managed to catch even the smallest glimps of his unique power, and now that she had a chance, she took full advantage, scooching close enough to watch the light begin to emanate from his hands. She thought the emerald color it started off with was just lovely, but as it grew white, she started to back away a little bit. Elena was starting to get the feeling that perhaps this new "web" wasn't the safest thing to be around.
Kihaku was starting to get the same idea, plus a bit more anxiety due to the fact that this brand new Channeled Web, whatever it happened to be, was pointed directly at him! Kihaku immediately had a flash of annoyance run through him that his own student would be so careless as to not watch for the position of others before initiating a newly created technique.
"Dammit Chameleon, watch where you point that thing!"
His aura, in his frustation, misted just the tiniest bit, almost unnoticeable to the naked eye. He swatted at Cham's channeling hand, and suddenly, everything went wrong.
Time stopped.
There was a ringing in everyone's ears, as if some sort of loud sound had ruined their hearing, and their skin was tingling from what felt like a build up of static electricity.
Quite suddenly, there was a loud BOOM, and Cham, Elena, and Kihaku all felt half of their usable energy suddenly drain from themselves. Atsuko would feel nothing, only hear the sound, before there was a concussive blast like a thunderclap directly above the group. The sky overhead darkened until it was pitch-black, with a roar like an ocean storm wind howling against the coastal rocks.
Without warning, it seemed to grow larger and larger, when in reality space itself was distorting, bringing the foursome right into the mouth of the rend in space and time.
Molecule by molecule they hurtled through space, a distance so long to travel it could have been light years, yet felt so little to have been mere feet. Time had no meaning in the blackness that engulfed the group like a thick, wet, woolen blanket, a suffocating nothingness that pulled at one's consciousness as a wolf at freshly killed prey.
Elicoorian. Chaos Spirits. Newborn Goddess.
Destination: unknown.
