Round One: Kiruna VS Kilix

Kiruna could feel his strength ebbing away, the fatigue of the battle, the endless strain of fighting such a resourceful opponent taking its toll, finally, upon Kiruna. Still, he could not finish here, and the attack he expected to come was immediate. Kiruna's smallest breather, a space in time, had allowed him to understand a few things.

Firstly, Kilix had used after image to avoid his punch. He had intended that strike to finish the battle and now without it, Kiruna was concerned for his energy levels. Second thing he understood was that Kilix was suffering much more from energy depletion. And last but not least, the fight was nearing its climax.

Kilix's roundhouse struck, at least, connecting with the back of Kiruna's head and forcing him to the side. But as Kilix attempted a leg sweep, Kiruna leapt over it and landed on one knee as the hammer strike came down. He caught it, and then grinned up at Kilix.
"My turn."

Kiruna threw everything into this, every last scrap of strength he had remaining. He rushed forward, under Kilix's outstretched arms with a quick jab straight for Kilix's chest, then spun round behind him with a devastating chop towards Kilix's spine. A resounding boom would be heard, if the chop landed.

Immediately after that, Kiruna leapt up and brought a lightning fast heelkick down towards Kilix's skull. he was working entirely on fighting instinct, as he flipped over Kilix and sent another, final, furious uppercut towards Kilix's stomach in the hope of finishing this fight once and for all. In fact, he even clutched a Ki ball in his hands and fired that at the last moment, hoping to maximise the damage.

The audience were on the edges of their seats. They knew the fight that they had been watching with such rapt attention was drawing to a close. All the supporters were silent, no matter which side they were on. Some were, literally, biting their nails. Then Kiruna launched his attack, and they waited for the result...

He knew that, after this, he wouldn't be able to launch another attack this powerful. He hoped that, with this, his victory would be assured. Kilix couldn't dodge this anymore, he had taken tons of damage from the blast. Kiruna, in turn, was slowly fading out of Awakened Shadiohurcan. It could be seen if you looked closely that the white skin was starting to crack and fade, even a few pieces tumbling to the ground and breaking like china. Underneath, Kiruna's normal skin could be seen.

In fact, after Kiruna's attack, he collapsed to his hands and knees in exhaustion. He couldn't even raise his head to see the result of his fight. His shoulders heaved as he panted for breath and then, with a sudden noise like paper ripping and glass shattering all rolled into one, Kiruna flashed a deep navy blue then turned back to his normal Shadiohurcan stage.

With only one part of his assault succeeding, and Kiruna's own barrage soon on it's way, everything seemed hopeless. Kilix knew that he still had a chance at the match; up until this point they'd been fairly even on the hits, it had just been Kiruna's transformations and cunning use of telekinesis that held his advantage. However, Kilix's natural prowess and advanced technology had kept his end of the match in tact; it was still very much an open match.

However it was obvious to competitor and spectator alike could tell that much more would be the end of the fight for Kilix. If he were to keep a chance at winning, he couldn't allow more than the tinyest mishap. He concentrated all his energy into these last few moments of battle; the last few moments of the entire match. Kiruna would be allowed the last assault, but it was Kilix's job to withstand it.

Kiruna's assault started abrubtly, the Shadowhurcan launching himself towards Kilix, with a jab to his chest. Kilix didn't have enough energy to dodge this one; his movements were becoming heavy and sluggish. The strike hit him, knocking some of the wind out of his lungs as another rush of anguish flooded his body. However, this allowed him to easily dodge the next move, as his body seemingly doubled over, Kiruna's strike sliding through the air.

Kilix pushed himself onto his feet, his arms rigid against the ground. However, he soon let his right elbow buckle, the force of gravity pulling him down and to the side as Kiruna's kick struck nothing but earth. Rolling back up onto his feet, Kilix stood tall for a moment, before tumbling backwards, the Shadowhurcan's uppercut doing little more than scrape the fur on his chest, the Ki blast exploding upwards into thin air.

His body hit the floor with a satisfied thud, a veil of dust being thrown up around his form as it did so. Kilix bore a contented smile, having successfully avoided Kiruna's final assault, seeing the warrior fall to his hands and knees, his energy spent. His own rasping breaths filled the air, his pain wracked body unable to move little more than his mouth. He was not going to fall unconscious until safely able to at the Hotel.

"A good first round, friend..." he said, his voice little more than a weary sigh, as he finally had a chance to rest his aching bones.

((I'm a little tired right now, so I really don't feel like writing a finishing post for this-- besides, how Kilix has ended it, it sounds good enough to me.

I'm going to give this match to Kilix in a 3-2 score. Simply put, this match could have easily have gone either way, and I read some finely crafted writing from both people. Since this was the longest thread, you two gave me the longest read yet! >_<;;

You both had a pretty good control in this match, but I'm going to say Kilix had somewhat of an advantage, at least in the last two or three posts. You both gave a good fight, and deserve the scores you got; actually, if it was a six, I would have said that you both would get three points instead of giving a distinct winner. Trust me, good match!))
