“Forgive Me…”
As soon as Kiruna had spoken those two words, Kilix knew what was about to happen. He cursed himself for the second time for allowing this to happen; he should have seen this eventuality before it happened.
Kilix rubbed his chest for a moment; Kiruna’s strike upon his entry was indeed unexpected, catching him as he flew past, but due to the speed it was no real injury. The Ki blast he’d produced moments later hit a divider in the tunnel system, causing rocks and pebbles to shake violently; if it wasn’t for Kilix’s sharp wit, then he probably wouldn’t have noticed the caves collapsing around him, simply due to this.
The sound of the Shadowhurcan’s ascension into a new form fell upon deaf ears, the deep roar of the mountain drowning out any other sound. Stalactites were cracking from their home on the top of the cave, falling down to meet their stalagmite cousins below them. Chunks of mud, rock and earth were falling all around him, and Kilix knew he only had seconds to escape and live. He looked towards the cave’s exit; the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, and in a blur he was gone.
But he did not leave quietly, a resemblance of him glowing with a light hue in the darkness surrounding it, as the brick and brack of the dying cave passed through it. Moments later, the chaos in the cavern was added to by a new, thunderous explosion, as the Wire frame detonated in a shower of lights.
The audience in the stadium were one of a mixed feeling. The Kiruna-Supporters were crying in joy, thinking that their hero had defeated his enemy-- or at least, that they’d got their 25-1 Payout-- and the Kilix-Supporters were near tears, as their favourite furry competitor was seemingly crushed in the rubble. The only other group that wasn’t shouting in some way were a family of epileptics in the back left hand corner; the repeated light and dark flashes of the caves causing them to be having fits in the far side of the stands.
But none paid attention to this; the sights of the battle was far more exciting. They watched the sight through both warriors eyes; Kiruna’s showing nothing but the blackness of his Shadow Sphere, and Kilix’s showing a dull, dark grey light of his impending doom. None but the small robot at the back knew what was really happening when Kiruna’s screen returned to the normal sights of the outside world, and Kilix’s suddenly turned to the dull reddish grey of the mountainside.
Kilix made his way swiftly up the mountainside, not much more than a pebble crumbling off the rock as his hands grasped their holders. His experiences on his home world forests made climbing an easy task, and within a few moment, Kilix was level with his opponent. He did not waste time, instead pushing himself backwards off the rock, the momentum sending him swinging around in an arc, his booted foot shooting straight for the Shadowhurcan’s skull.
Successful or otherwise, Kilix shimmered away into the light, his afterimage dying down if Kiruna went for another attack, and the real Liixan landing swiftly on solid ground, by the shores of the lake. The adrenaline through his system was shutting down all recognitions of pain, although bruises forming under the fur on his legs and arms would be paining him later. Immediately after landing, his hands reached back for his belt, the two hilts finding their place and buzzing into existence immediately, the red and blue glows of Ki energy humming slightly in their place.
And Kilix was instantly on the move again, not letting up for a second; he realised that trying to lure Kiruna into unhelpful situations was now just a waste of time, he was too smart for that. He would have to force him into them.
The Ruby was the first to strike, the Ki blade being thrust towards Kiruna’s shoulder joint. His previous exploit had just taught him that Ki attacks to the armour were useless, but joints are always the weak point in the smith-work. The Sapphire dove in next as a sideways slash to the hip, and when both weapons were withdrawn, Kilix swung his hips in a circular motion, his foot crashing towards the side of Kiruna’s neck.
He wasn’t going to let up any more; this fight belonged to him.

The gust of wind as Kilix's kick whistled past his tilted head saved Kiruna from the pain that would have ensued had the attack landed. Kiruna was frowning slightly as Kilix sailled past him. That last tactic Kiruna had deployed should have worked and yet, once again, Kilix had narrowly dodged defeat yet again. His opponent's resilience had been admirable at the start, but now Kiruna was finding it annoying.
So when the dagger strikes came in, Kiruna was less than amused. Using the new heightened speed and strength of Giga Shadiohurcan, Kiruna grabbed Kilix's wrist on the first slash and retaliated with a split second jab to Kilix's exposed stomach. This however would disadvantage Kiruna as the damage from the second slash hit Kiruna in the joint of armour, hitting his flesh. Kiruna yelped in pain, then sent a forceful head-butt towards Kilix's skull while still holding his other hand. Then he let go and pushed away, firing off a fast Ki blast to get some space.
Then he landed upon the rubble of the cave and telekinetically threw several boulders at Kilix, bombarding his opponent with no form of restraint anymore. But he didn't let them fall, in fact, he sent most of them in an effort to crush Kilix violently inbetween all of the other boulders.
The audience weren't sure what to think. In fact their cheers had evne dulled as the fight was exhausting their support. Just when they thought it had finally ended, Kilix had survived and the fight was beggining yet again. Some even bombarded the screens in frustration, which was understandable.
Kiruna let the boulders fall again and powered up, then shot straight for Kilix. Then, on his movement, he pasued and floated mid-air. If he charged him again, Kilix would probably use the move he'd used earlier... the one that had resulted in an explosion. Kiruna didn't want to risk that again, touching the scars on his face to remember.

((Do not expect me to reply tomorrow. It's my Results Day, so I will be celebrating/mourning followed by getting pissed/getting pissed.))
In the next few moments, Kilix seemed to have underestimated Kiruna's Giga-Shadowhurcan transformation. His enhanced reactions had allowed him to dodge the initial kick with ease, and even block his first dagger strike, sending his own attack directly for Kilix's gut as he did so. Kilix felt the strike hit, thinking for a moment he heard the cracking of a bone. But then he realised, it could be much worse.
He glanced down for a moment, as his second attack struck into the Shadowhurcan's side. The damage to the armour was superficial-- a small crack running down between two plates-- but it was damage non the less. Many more hits, and it could work to his advantage. Too many more hits, quite the reverse. Only time and damage would tell.
Kilix-- even through the pain resonating in his stomach-- was not going to let the enemy hit him again this time. Twisting away from Kiruna, his headbutt did nothing but skim air.
Kiruna was on the move immediatly, not letting the blood seeping from his side be continued by any more wounds. Kilix remained in the air, the time taken for Kiruna to reach his destination being neglegable, and by taking another quick dodge, his Ki blast sailed past him and onwards. The next attack from the warrior more than obvious, as the stones and pebbles around him began to shake and vibrate from the telekinetic disturbances.
Kilix depowered his weapons, placing the hilts back on his belt, the metal clasps immediatly welcoming his blades back to their home. His fingers breezed gently over another button, something small dropping out of the bottom of a compartment, before he prepared for his next feat.
When the boulders were launched at the Liixan, he let himself grin for a moment. The giant rocks were dotted through the sky like a minature map of the stars, each one rapidly expanding outwards towards him. When the first was close enough, Kilix let his Ki Pack shut down, drooping slightly in the air before his descent picked up speed. Why waste energy, when natural agility will aid you just as well.
His timing was nearly perfect, his drop taking him just below the first rocks path, but just above the second. His boots touched down on the rock, his hands following quickly as he crouched on it, Kiruna's own telekinetic energy holding it in place for him. Within seconds, he had pushed off that rock in a backflip, another three shooting past him as he soared through the air, landing on two legs on another passing rock.
A sideways flip took him over the next rock, the Liixan dropping in his path as he sped towards the ground once again, until a new boulder stopped his path, Kilix landing on all fours, before allowing himself to simply fall, the last few projectiles barely missing him, until he landed on his palms on the unstable wreckage that was once a mountainside.
Kiruna was already on the charge when Kilix flipped back into an upright position, and that suited the young warrior fine. His fingers twiched as he prepped the button on an object in his hand; the object that had fallen from his belt moments before, until rapidly expanding into a new shape. A LCD display showed the number five on it's screeen.
Kilix flipped the Ki-M-P Grenade into the air, the display showing four at it's pinacle, and then beginning it's return to earth. Kilix pushed himself off his feet, his leg spinning round as the clock struck three. The heel of his boot connected with the capsule on the number two, sending it careering through the open air towards his charging opponent, being a mere foot away when the dial struck one.
Kiruna had appeared to have stopped, but this mattered not, the persex-like plastic of the Ki-M-P splitting aside, both halves seperately dropping to the ground as the pulsing eruption of Ki energy expanded outwards rapidly, forcing the energy out of any living thing it passed through.
The blast radius stopped just short of the Liixan warrior, who had watched the entire spectacle from the same spot in which he stood a moment ago. But as soon as the Ki radiation was dying down, Kilix lept on his opportunity, seeking out Kiruna's signal as quickly as he could, although if his attack was successful, it would be faint. He would not allow the Shadowhurcan a moments breathing space; the match could depend on it.
((EDIT: Whoa-how! Sorry man, I missed a head-but too! Edited in now (This is in response to the post below)))

(Ignored my Ki blast in the last post; never mind.) Kilix's agility once again prevailed, but Kiruna wasn't surprised. Kilix had already proven his skill in this field, just like Kiruna had done in his telekinesis. But his head was starting to ache, and he decided that he'd relied on the power of his mind too much.
Kilix leapt from boulder to boulder, but Kiruna wouldn't let him do this unchallenged. he would find that a barrage of Ki balls met him on each of his destinations, as well as the occassional rabid bird. Kilix would make his wya through this floating gauntlet, but he would have to deal with these additional attacks as well. Either way, Kilix threw something at Kiruna. Then the Ki-M-P grenade appeared, and Kiruna resorted to an old favourite as he recognised the weapon from earlier.
The Ki radiation died down, and Kilix searched for Kiruna's signal. He'd find it in the same place it had been before, and as strong as before; in fact, maybe even stronger. The Shadow Sphere seperated and dissolved away from around Kiruna, having protected him from the explosion, and he landed on the ground and looked up at Kilix. Ki burst up around him in an impressive display and Kiruna shouted to Kilix, "No mercy now my friend!"
Kiruna's supporters cheered with a primitive fury at Kiruna's words, becoming a rabid mob at their hero's voice. Kilix's supporters remained quiet but stead-fast, as if those words would be Kiruna's last in this fight.
Then he took off towards Kilix, an army of small and big birds all forming around him. Kiruna, before reaching Kilix, teleported, but the birds did not. They all tore striahgt at him in a wide line and in a formation that would limit Kilix's options at avoiding them. Kiruna then reappeared above Kilix, and a Ki blast in the form of a bright shining pillar left Kiruna's connected palms and, aimed perfectly at Kilix, continued down to the ground below.
Then Kiruna flipped forward, so that Kilix would have to turn now as Kiruna was behind him, and through his flip Kiruna hurled another Ki ball at his opponent, then landed on the ground again in a fast drop. The birds then swept towards Kilix once more, crowding him until Kiruna fired yet another Ki blast at him, where the birds seperated to allow it to pass, then crowded Kilix again with their beaks and claws.
With that attack finished, Kiruna tried to detect Kilix's Ki signature and waited for retaliation. if there was none, Kiruna would assume his opponent too wounded to respond.

((In response to your projectiles and birds, I've just editted the stuff in the text above, and posted it at the start of this post.))
His timing was nearly perfect, his drop taking him just below the first rocks path, but just above the second. His boots touched down on the rock, his hands following quickly as he crouched on it, Kiruna's own telekinetic energy holding it in place for him. Within seconds, however, he was needing to move again, as one of Kiruna's Ki attacks honed in on him. Letting himself roll backwards, he watched the blast pass unstopped by his face, using a small burst of Ki energy from his Ki pack to push him back onto the Rock's surface.
Almost as soon as he was stable again, he had pushed off that rock in a backflip, another three shooting past him as he soared through the air. He had to raise an arm for a moment, a Micro-shield blazing to life from his palm, as another Ki blast smashed into it, knocking him off balance slightly. However, he manipulated this into a meaningful flip in the air, landing on two legs on another passing rock.
A sideways flip took him over the next rock, the Liixan dropping in his path as he sped towards the ground once again, until a new boulder stopped his path. Crouching as he hit the rock in order to break his fall was a good investment-- another Ki blast skimming the fur on his head by a mere inch. However, this was not the only thing to attack him now, a nearby sparrow diving in it's path to strike his face.
Kilix jumped up into a backflip, his right boot striking towards the bird's form, before allowing himself to simply fall, the last few projectiles barely missing him, until he landed on his palms on the unstable wreckage that was once a mountainside.
This was, of course, not the only Rocks, Ki and Birds aimed at him. However, it is very hard to hit a moving target, let alone a moving Liixan target; any excess rocks will drop to the floor, some Ki blasts were destined to miss, and the rest of the birds that failed to meet their prey through this minefield of attacks would regroup to retaliate against the Liixan at a later point.
Kiruna's signal was like a warning signal running through his mind; it was identical to it's former presence, and it's power was increasing by the second. Obviously, Kilix's attack was unsuccessful. He saw a blur, a dark energy being cast aside, and Kiruna was there, his aura aflame as if he was the most powerful fuel on Dragonia.
"No Mercy now my friend," he cried aloud, for all to hear. Kilix chuckled to himself, his speed towards the opponent not diminishing. "I wouldn't expect any less,"
It was then that Kiruna started his own assault on the Liixan, he and his army of birds launching themselves towards the warrior. Kilix was heading straight for the Shadowhurcan, the birds merely being a haze of feathers and wings surrounding the real target. But when he was nearly close enough to strike, Kiruna dissapeared, leaving Kilix with the battalion of beasts ahead of him.
Thinking on his feet, so to speak, Kilix flung his arms in front of him, pulsing the Ki energy through his limbs into the two domes of Ki that proceeded to flare from his palms. Any birds going for the face or shoulders would collide head first with the dense barrier, but the birds on the edges still caught his waist and legs; however, his armour prevented any damage to Kilix himself, just more scratches and scars to his Dulvar armour.
Kilix burst through the line of birds like a dolphin diving from water, punching straight through the surface and to the fresh air above. An imaginary red light flashed in his head, as he located Kiruna's energy signal directly above him. He twisted around just in time to see the gargantuan attack bearing down on him; however, Kiruna had obviously underestimated his confrontation with his birds. Pushing a bit more energy into his flight, Kilix's accelleration increased dramatically, the Liixan leaving the blasts destructive path by a hair.
He wasn't done with this one though; as soon as he was safe, Kilix stopped and twisted himself round, pointing his arm at the Ki blast, his shields dying down as a small device protruded from his wrist. A set of circular energy waves could be seen resonating from the device, if you were bothering to look hard enough, before it simply retracted back into the suit of armour once more.
When Kiruna's blast hit the rocky earth beneath them, it simply dissapeared; it was nowhere to be seen. However, as soon as the whole beam was gone, a deafening rumble erupted from beneath them. Kilix's Seismic Converter had just turned this once peaceful land into a danger zone in it's own right, as the rocks and stones around him started to shake violently; an Earthquake was coming.
For a while, however, the Earthquake was playing in his favour. As the Shadowhurcan leapt over him, a deep tremour rumbled through the ground beneath him, knocking him off balance as the Ki blast smashed into the ground he was once standing in, sending up a shower of pebbles and shrapnel to add to the chaos eminating around them.
Kilix felt the ground moving beneath him, and was about to move to safety until he saw the approaching barrage of birds. He grinned, as the ground parted beneath him, and he fell once again, the birds following him into the chasm like a seeker missile. Many of them would never leave it.
As he fell into the darkening abyss, with small chips of stone and rock cascading down around him, Kilix kept his head facing the light above him, through the oncoming cloud of birds, getting ever closer. When the closest one hit him, it was going to be in for a surprise, the figure of Kilix-- almost completely obscured due to lack of light-- exploded at it's touch. The real Kilix flipped out from his hiding place on the side of the wall being created by the earthquake, and landed on his feet once more.
However, Kilix knew he would be being sensed, Kiruna would be hot on his trail, and Kilix had to beat him to the punch, so to speak. He found the Shadowhurcan's energy signal in an instant, and immediatly launched himself in that direction, his boot extended for a flying kick to the chest.
As soon as the attack was blocked or connected, his pulled himself away in a backflip, landing on the ground, his knees bent. Straightening them immediatly, Kilix sent his fist forwards in a sharp uppercut to his chin, followed by a twist of his hips becoming a turning kick in the air.
But with the earthquake still raging, Kilix knew they'd have to take to the skies soon enough. Up there, it could be anyone's game. But he was going to make sure that the 'anyone' was him.

Kiruna staggered on the moving ground and that, coupled with the psychic agony of the casualties his bird army had suffered brought Kiruna to his knees. Thanks to this, Kilix's kick just missed him, and Kiruna dashed foward then came up behind Kilix bringing his hands down in axe-handle strike for Kilix's skull.
The ground suddenly broke open and Kiruna took off into the air, firing another point blank Ki blast at Kilix as he took off. He flew even higher, still facing Kilix, and bombarded him with a couple more Ki blasts. Now that Kiruna was in the air and he had taken a telekinetic break, he decided to add to the chaos.
Extending his mental powers he accessed the already disturbed earth and, all around and beneath Kilix, rocky spikes shot up all around the Liixan. Even if Kilix took off into the air, that spikes would block his way, and they were too tough for the Liixan's Ki blades to cut through without wasting precious time.
Kiruna would take this obstacle out for Kilix soon, however, using another old technique. Focussing Ki into both his hands, and pointing one arm up to the sky and one arm down to the ground, Kiruna rotated his arms around, the one arm pointing to the sky moving round to Kiruna's left, and his other arm moving round to his right. During this time, Kiruna gathered even more Ki into his hands and then brought them together in front of him.
The Ki focussed into a shining blue sphere of Ki which Kiruna launched down to the ground, and the cage he had built for Kilix. This technique took less time than it takes to describe: Kilix would have to react lightning fast to avoid the Shadow Shot. The attack bounced off, as expected, shooting straight back up towards Kiruna. Kiruna punched the sphere back down and, as this was the second impact, the rocky prison would now be broken open.
Knowing that now, Kilix would be free to charge him from the ground, Kiruna debated his next step. Kilix would probably have moved to somewhere around him so, aware of this, Kiruna leaned back on the Shadow Sphere. Bringing his knees up to his chest and wrapping his arms around them, the Shadow Sphere extended form out of his body and formed around him in the opaque light-absorbing sphere once again.
Kiruna was hardly defenseless inside the Shadow Sphbere though, now that he was using telekinesis again. But Kiruna would be fighting blind, so instead, he waited, gathering even more Ki for yet another attack. And to transform into the Awakened Shadiohurcan.

The pain from Kiruna’s psychic shattering worked to his advantage for a small while; Kilix’s kick sailed clear over the Shadowhurcan, and one he’d regained his senses, managed to launch his own attack in retaliation to the Liixan. However, the time taken for Kiruna to get to his feet and launch himself at Kilix was not nearly short enough, when compared to the speed at which a Liixan can turn himself around in his path and prepare. The axe-handle smash was met by a simple arm block, Kilix’s own fist quickly jabbing towards his gut in a lightning fast strike.
However, Kiruna was soon on the move to the skies as a gargantuan tremor broke onto the scene, and Kilix was up immediately after him; but not for long. Kiruna’s arm shot from it’s position, a glowing Ki blast forming in it’ palm, before launching at Kilix. The movement caught Kilix unawares, the blast striking him in the front of his armour, and sending him down to the crumbling ground once again. Another quick glance at his chest deferred any worries towards his armour, and he was immediately on the move after Kiruna again.
The next blasts were a piece of cake; the agile Liixan’s airborne state allowing him to simply flow between the blasts with ease. However, he soon realised that the blasts were not the real threat, as a flying lump of rock caught the side of his chest armour. Stifling a cough, he turned his attention down towards the ground, and the spikes of rock following him to she skies. Pulling himself to the side, a pillar of stone slid past him, soon to be followed by many more; there was an impenetrable wall in his path, between him and the enemy.
There were many options available; break through the barrier with brute force, although this would waste precious time, and be easy to spot by his opponent on the other side; he could teleport through, which does have the added aspect of surprise; or he could simply fly around the side and go for the head-on assault look. However, his choices were immediately cut down to one, with the sudden cracking noise on the other side of the wall; something had hit it.
Kilix had no idea what it was, but his Microchip had picked up a Ki interference, so it was a fair guess to say it was an attack of some sort. But he didn’t have time to come up with a cunning dodge tactic, so chose the simplest; block it. His arm shot up, the limb straightened completely towards the rock, and an orange flare of light pouring out as his shield shot from his palm. And not a second too late; almost instantly after the shield was active, Kiruna’s Shadow Shot burst through the stone wall, the blast colliding instantly with the Ki shield, and doing exactly as it had before; bouncing straight backwards out of the whole it just created, and directly back at it’s creator.
Kiruna, however, had other plans on his mind; namely, camping it out inside his Shadow Sphere, and regaining his energy as soon as possible. Kilix hovered a few metres above the ground-- which was still unstable beneath him-- and watched. For now, it was just a waiting game.

Kilix's quick counter to the axehandle attack had caught Kiruna by surprise, striking him in the gut. The armour absorbed much of the impact and damage, but Kiruna was still hurt by it.
Inside the Shadow Sphere, Kiruna's energy was unleashed in a spectacular burst as Kiruna exploded out of the Shadow Sphere in the Awakened Shadiohurcan stage, his new bone wings spread wide, his skin a new snow white and the red tattoos. His newly coloured aura burst out violently, a show of his new form.
As the Shadow Shot neared him, Kiruna punched it hard enough to make it shoot down at such a speed a sonic boom actually hit, even deafening Kiruna for a moment. It would hit Kilix far faster than it was launched before, and with much more added force.
If the Shadow Shot bounced back up towards Kiruna, he wouldn't be there anymore. Instead, he had teleported to in front of Kilix, and he rushed the Liixan, one punch aimed at Kilix's stomach, followed by a hook to Kilix's face, which lead into Kiruna spinning around behind Kilix and sending an elbow strike to Kilix's kidney.
Then Kiruna, using his even more enhanced speed, retreated to a safe distance from Kilix and fired a massive Ki blast at his opponent as he retreated away from him. At the same time, he used his telekinetic powers to hurl boulders at Kilix with surprising ease.
The idea of saving the area around them had seemed to dissolve into the primal effort of defeating the other one for both fighters. Neither was concerned about the devastating damage they'd caused, it seemed, as they had both foccused upon winning.

Kiruna’s new state made him almost unidentifiable from before, but it was still definitely the same warrior Kilix had been fighting thus far. His skin was bright white, with blood-red tattoos covering it’s surface, and stretching around to the Bone wings on his back. In all aspects, Kiruna now looked similar to a painted skeleton, quite the fears-inducing sight to most warriors. But Kilix was prepared for anything from this fighter, and it appeared he was going to get it.
Almost as soon as the Awakened Shadowhurcan emerged from his shell of darkness, he was launching a new attack on the Liixan; or more to the point, relaunching an old one. The Shadow Shot burst through the air at a tremendous speed, a ripple of airwaves erupting from it as it broke the Sound Barrier. Kilix flipped backwards immediately, the blast hitting the ground in front of him, casting up a blanket of dust into the air, and bounced back at the opposite angle.
Kilix was going to leave the blast, before he saw Kiruna in front of him, a teleport relocating him in seconds. Leaping into the air with a twist, Kilix caught the Shadow Shot with his boot, the force jarring what was now the second leg with a bout of pain. However, the ki-resistant metal of Dulvar did it’s job, forcing the blast back at an equal speed towards Kiruna’s new position, leaving little more than a spherical crater on the armoured boot.
As soon as Kilix’s feet touched the ground, Kiruna was upon him. He managed-- barely-- to dodge the first attack, spinning in the same direction as the hook to avoid it’s path. However, the Shadowhurcan’s newfound speed got the better of him, the elbow sinking straight into his chest, which was now where his Kidneys were before. Another resounding crack filled the area, but this time it was much more dangerous; Kilix looked down to see Kiruna’s elbow embedded deep into his armour.
Purple sparks began to build around the broken shards of metal, as the moisture from the air reacted quickly with the Sodium lined in his armour. Roughly three compartments had been broken open by the attack, and all the sodium in them was now beginning to burn. It was most probably that some of the soft metal had been stuck on the enemy’s arm when he struck, and if that was the case, it too would now be fizzing violently. However, Kiruna was too close to Kilix to avoid this next blast; the full reaction would be finished in little more than 3 seconds.
Bracing the muscles in his torso for pain, Kilix simply stood fast as the armour blew, making sure he was as close to his opponent as Liixanly possible. The sodium burst outwards violently, large shards of Dulvar metal spinning in all directions, many probably towards Kiruna himself. The pain wracked through his body like liquid spreading out over his form; it started in the chest, the nerves sending signals of distress through the entire nervous system. Soon, his entire body was aching and throbbing with hurt.
Moving as quickly as he could, Kilix tugged at any parts of his armour that were still attached to his body, being careful not to catch his fingers on any Sodium. The last chunk of his armour fell to the floor, a purple fizz fringing it’s edges, as Kilix stood with his torso bare, only his natural fur to show for the world. The hairs seemed to elongate for a moment, as if grasping their first breath of air in a long time, before floating back down to his body, all movements flowing gently into others.
The fur on his chest seemed matted and grimy, trickles of crimson liquid beginning to flow between some of the hairs. Kilix could feel a sharp pain residing in his side, a quick glance confirming a lump of Dulvar lodged near his hip. Biting his lip with his front teeth to brace for the pain, he grasped it in both hands. A sharp tug forced the shard free of it’s housing, spits of blood flying in all directions, causing Kilix to whimper in pain for a moment. The explosion gave him ample time to care for his wounds as the carnage was dying down, but now he’d have to start moving again.
The wisps of smoke and dust thrown up by the explosion started to glow with an ominous hue, Kilix’s wide eyes immediately darting up to the source. Saying nothing, he launched himself quickly to the side, using only his speed for now; his Ki pack was in the torso of his armour. It looked like he’d be relying on quick wit and natural ability for a time now.
The Ki blast struck the ground behind him, a wave of energy nearly forcing Kilix off his feet. Stumbling forwards a few steps, but still managing to remain vertical, Kilix looked up at the location from which he sensed the energy signal of his opponent. However, he didn’t have time to observe for long, as a large brown object formed in the corner of his eye. These telekinetically charged boulders were really starting to get boring.
Kilix glanced down at his hands for a moment, but soon any fear he had was cast aside; although his gloves were tarnished, the small rubber disk and wires leading into it were still there. Just for safe measure, Kilix pulsed some energy into his right palm, diving out of the path of the first boulder. It took a moment, but sure enough a Micro-shield burst into life from his palm. Kilix smiled; something was going his way, it seemed.
Throughout the Explosion and the Telekinesis, both fighters had continued with very little recognition of the Earthquake erupting around them. Kilix, however, was brought back to reality as another large tremor rumbled out of the ground around him, almost knocking him off balance as a telekinetic rock collided with the shield on his palm. A crack was forming in the ground beside him, and with little options of escape this time, Kilix needed to move, and fast.
Luckily, for a Liixan, this isn’t a problem. Darting forwards, Kilix rolled in his path to avoid oncoming rocks from his telekinetic assailant, aiming straight towards the blip in his mind he recognised as Kiruna’s energy signal. He found it very quickly, jumping into the air in a flip moments before another rumble broke from the earth beneath them. The flip concluded with Kilix’s boot striking towards Kiruna’s shoulder blade, before rolling down onto the ground and standing again, his fingers poised at his belt.
Grabbing the two dagger hilts once again, Kilix’s blades flared into existence, the Ruby immediately darting for Kiruna’s already wounded side, as the Sapphire struck in a zig-zagging motions around his shoulder joints. Kilix was now at a hefty disadvantage, but he knew he could still win it. He’d just have to give Kiruna hell to do so.

Caught off guard by the sodium hidden within Kilix's armour, the explosion did vast amounts of superficial damage to Kiruna and his armour. Starting with his elbow, the armour had burned off and so, slowly, had the flesh beneath been singed. But then the explosion hit full force and Kiruna reeled back, his armour exploding around him.
The shattered remains still clinging to his now slightly singed upper torso, Kiruna let out a very bestial roar of anger and pain, and the force of this roar and the gathering Ki around Kiruna broke off what remains off armour he had from the waist up. So, it seemed, had Kilix.
And so the rest of Kiruna's attacks were fuelled with even more rage than before, but Kilix successfully dealt with them. Kiruna had hovered just above the earthquake, and out of harm's way from this unnatural occurence Kilix himself had caused.
However, Kilix caught him off guard again, his kick colliding with Kiruna's shoulder blade as he flipped over him. Kiruna staggered forward, and momentarily lost control of his hovering. He skidded forwards on his knees, then, suddenly inspired, pushed himself up onto a one handed handstand and look back at Kilix. Now Kilix was charging him, Kiruna merely pushed up with his one hand and landed behind Kilix, neither of his attacks doing any successful damage.
As Kiruna flipped over Kilix, much like the Liixan had just flipped over him, Kiruna sent out another crushing telekinetic wave, focusing all his psychic power on crushing Kilix into the ground beneath him, which still remained solid in spite of the earthquake.
Kiruna didn't land on the ground again afterward,s put returned to his hovering state, and charged Kilix's back with two vicious and simultaneous punches both aimed for one of Kilix's sides each. Then he took off higher into the air, firing another impressive Ki blast as he moved.
Kiruna panted from the damage the explosion had still dealt out to him, his bone wings spread wide as Kiruna glared down at the ground beneath him. Kilix intended to give his all now that Kiruna had acheived his best, and Kiruna would answer with the same. But surely Kilix couldn't outpower Kiruna now? His kick had only annoyed Kiruna, and had even worked in his favour. But then again, reflecting on how Kilix had managed the fight so far, he would probably have even more tricks up his sleeve.
Kiruna also made a mental note to pick up the removed armour at the end of the fight, or he would have to go back to the hotel and take out one of his substitute suits...

Kilix’s blades hit nothing but air, as the Shadowhurcan warrior flipped himself over his body. Kiruna landed behind him, and almost immediately the ground beneath Kilix began to rumble and shake. His impulse reaction was to move, his reflexes already prepared for the earthquakes conditions, and he dived to the side as the ground crumpled away beneath him into a dark abyss.
Spinning around to face his opponent, Kilix received nothing more than two sharp pains in his sides. The force of Kiruna’s strikes flung the Liixan warrior off his feet, soaring a few hundred feet through the air before crashing down onto the unstable ground. Some of his hairs caught in the rocks, some small clumps ripping out on cracks and craters in the earth, causing his back to sear with pain.
Forcing himself onto his feet, Kilix couldn’t help but let but release some desperate pants of exhaustion. Kiruna was a more than worthy opponent, and the fight was seriously beginning to take it’s toll on his body. His muscles were aching, his back was now throbbing as the blood pumped through his veins. His slightly-advanced Liixan healing had dealt with his early wounds, but he was accumulating more than he was losing.
However, he didn’t have time to think for more than a second, as his eyes caught glance of the incoming Ki attack. His instincts kicked in again, Kilix diving to his left as the blast once again hit nothing but dust and gravel. The ground rumbled again, Kilix falling to one knee in an attempt to remain stable. His eyes welled up with salty water as they tried to rid themselves of the dust forming in the air around him, a blanket of musk over this once beautiful landscape.
Kilix looked around for a moment, making out as many shapes as he could through the haze around him. Kiruna was in the air, presumably awaiting Kilix’s move before doing anything himself. There was the wreckage of the cave beneath him, and ahead the rapidly diminishing woodland, and the remains of the lake splattered around.
Some spark of ingenious inspiration flourished in his head, and Kilix set off towards the once idyllic scene. He was soon upon it’s fringes, the smaller trees having collapsed immediately as the tremors began. Many had fallen into the gaping holes that the earthquake had created, but many were still vibrating around on the surface. Kilix targeted the nearest one, heading for the base of it’s severed trunk.
Quickly moving his plan into reality, Kilix slammed on the base of the trunk with his boot, forcing it quickly into an upright position. Waiting for nature to take it’s course, the tremors swinging it around to face Kiruna, Kilix swung his leg around in a low sweep, the force pushing the tree trunk into an upwards trajectory. Pushing himself off the ground, Kilix leapt up into the dead tree, getting his footing on the makeshift craft, riding it like a surfboard through the sky.
Now, it’d be fairly obvious to anyone that a tree trunk with a warrior atop it was flying through the air; even more so for a warrior like Kiruna. So Kilix, of course, wanted to add at least a vague element of surprise. Raising his finger forwards, three small darts fired in rapid succession, which soon became enveloped in a cloud of distortion. This prevented Kilix from sight too, but his Microchip was picking up signals of Kiruna’s energy from far away.
As his projectile tree closed in, Kilix began to move, running along the shaft of the tree trunk and launching himself at Kiruna’s energy signal in a tackle. Hopefully he could bring the warrior to the ground; if not he was really none the worse.

Kiruna was busy gathering his energy, quite pleased with the results of his last attack within the battle. Kilix however couldn't fly without his ruined Ki Pack, this Kiruna had deducted earlier in the battle, so he didn't think Kilix would be able to reach him up in the air.
That was why the tackle was one hell of a surprise. Kilix's distortion darts worked a treat, but they didn't manage to hit Kiruna. Kilix however, did, and the momentum of this tackle hit Kiruna pretty hard, winding him mid-air. However, he did attempt to grab Kilix in a double-handed choke-hold after the tackle and spin around mid-air.
This, again, didn't help Kiruna. The tree trunk which Kilix had travelled up hit Kiruna in the back, knocking him and Kilix even further out and dazing kiruna so much he couldn't regain flight, but his hands still attempted to choke Kilix as the pair of them fell, if he could grab ahold of the Liixan.
So the two fell, but Kiruna at least tried to maniuplate this, trying to force Kilix beneath him so he would hit the ground harder than himself. But Kiruna then lost his grip, and floated away from Kilix, still too dazed to fly again. Now he fell back first, and sped towards the ground at an alarming rate.
And so Kiruna crash-landed. He hit it hard enough to cause a resounding boom to echo through the plateau, and a huge halo of dust to blow up around him, and a massive crater in the perfect circle to surround him in a five foot radius. Despite all this, Kiruna reach up with one snow white arm towards the sky almost instantly.
Silence dominated the crowd, both sides of supporters entranced by the tension and silence of the battle-field. Then Kiruna's arm rose, and a cry of triumph and ecstatic joy rose at seeing their hero appear, even if it was only one arm.
The pain was excruciating, and Kiruna was using all his effort just to raise this arm. Then he clenched a fist and smashed it down into the dirt next to him. He would not pass out. he would not lose his grip on consciousness. Kilix would not defeat him like this! Pushing up with both his hands, exerting a huge amount of effort, Kiruna struggled to a sitting position.
He then pushed up with his weak legs, and his wings flopped by limply as his back arched forward. He panted and growled with the pain, but shook his hair out of his eyes then he stood up straight and his wings spread wide once more. The fall had not defeaten him.
Letting out another bestial roar, his aura bursting into a bright shining inferno around him, Kiruna let loose the challenge, "Round two Kilix!!"

The impact was not as harsh as the fall; the knowledge that in a few moments you could be meeting with your demise flowing freely through your mind. As soon as Kilix made contact, Kiruna’s hands were clasped at his throat. Struggling for breath, Kilix wriggled and writhed in his grasp, breaking free within a moment or two, and allowing a flush of air to pulse through his veins. But this was only for a moment, as soon the Shadowhurcan’s hands were at his neck once again.
This vicious cycle continued for a long while, until Kilix’s grasp was broken along with Kiruna’s, and the pair floated away from each other gently. Kilix was battling with reality; if he lost consciousness, he lost the fight, and he would not allow that to happen. He had to have the ace in his sleeve, to expect the unexpected. As he fell freely through the air, the flow of wind blowing his now matted fur in all directions, he breezed one finger of his belt, a small pocket sliding open, and allowing another object to fall into the air.
Kilix put all his energy into making sure this went right; his arm stretched out to grab the capsule, as his furry fingers scanned over each button and dial in turn. When it was ready, a gentle sweep of his arm sent it spinning towards his opponent, falling at a constant rate equal to his own. Kilix gave a half hearted grin, and tried his best to prepare for the coming felling, as his body hit the brown, crumbling floor.
The audience were in uproar; Neither fighter was gaining any advantage, until the point at which the Liixan’s armour exploded into an inferno of purple flames. Many gasped, some of the weak of heart and stomach fainted on the spot. The hardcore fanatics cried and screamed in joy, most for the fact that Kilix was going down in flames. However, none knew the true potential of his arsenal, but those who did were smiling in silent joy.
KGB was now standing, his eyes filled with pride and fear-- as much as any robot can have-- for Kilix. The sight of the explosion did not worry him, knowing that the Liixan had been through much worse than this. The only thought that passed through his metallic mind at that moment was the fact he’d have to supply the replacement before his next round.
Kilix seemed to be on the run, and Kiruna’s attacks were bearing down on him more and more by the second. Kiruna’s supporters were cheering, egging him on to beat the Liixan pest once and for all. Kilix’s fans were shouting their own words, trying to encourage the warrior to make his dramatic comeback. Although neither warrior could hear their pleas, it seemed that Kilix acknowledged them on some level, as he enacted his dramatic assault on the Shadowhurcan.
The crowd gasped in unison as Kilix launched himself from his mobile platform and collided with his enemy. The screens were chaotic at best, only giving a flavour of the real experience the pair were having on the battlefield. The warriors fell, and the hearts of all the audience rose and fell with them. This would be a battle to remember.
Kilix’s body was in a single state; pain. His limbs ached and throbbed, his chest was heaving up and down to match his heavy, rasping breaths. His eyes were closed, but he was still conscious, his willpower not allowing him to fall into unconsciousness. He became aware that he could not feel his left arm. He tried to move his fingers, tilting his head to the side and easing his eyes open to see the result. Nothing. He strained in his mind as hard as he could allow. Nothing. He let out another deep, gravely sigh.
Like Kiruna, Kilix was now embedded in the earth, a crater formed around him, filled with a matrix of cracks and dents forming a net of the earth. A cloud of dust was swirling around the impact zone, a whirlpool of dirty air. With his able hand, Kilix fumbled for his belt again, tagging a different pocket this time, a small syringe falling quietly onto the ground around him.
He grasped it gently in his fingers, watching as the automatic device pushed all air out of the needle. He grinned, his lips showing all emotion that needed to be displayed. In one swift movement-- as swift as his heavy and pain filled limbs would allow-- he dug the needle into his numbed arm. He felt nothing as the liquid started to filter into his blood. He only felt the tingle as feeling returned slowly into his arm. It was slow, and gradual, but it was working. He could feel some wounds healing, his Liixan healing being aided by the serum flowing now throughout his body. He wouldn’t be anywhere near his full strength again, far from it in fact, but it was enough.
His discarded the needle, the object making a slight metallic ring as it hit the rocky ground beneath him. As if this was the starters bell, he next sound he heard was the voice of the Shadowhurcan, Kiruna’s challenge ringing out through the desolate area that was their battlefield. ”Round 2, Kilix!!”
Kilix forced himself gently onto his haunches, his limbs still aching from the impact. His head was ringing, blood filled his large ears, but he was stable, and he was conscious. His body pushed unwillingly into action, as Kilix stood, his torso and head barely visible over the rim of the crater he’d created. Placing one hand on the earth, his winced as he vaulted himself onto the level earth. The shocks of the earthquake had seemingly died down; like all of it’s kind, disappearing as soon as it started.
”I should think so,” grinned the Liixan. The entire sequence had taken little time, even through his weariness, Kilix had not been down for more that 20, maybe 25, seconds. The timing was near perfect. Unless he had very sharp eyes, Kiruna would not have noticed the tiny capsule which landed in the crater with him, a red LED display counting down from the half minute, second by second. And now the number was one, and a faint ringing noise sounded as the compartments separated.
Another Ki-M-P blast erupted in the surrounding area. Kilix would have to wait for the results before launching an attack, but this would not be long. For this fight, Round 2 had just begun.

Bursting into the air, Kiruna avoided the explosion with some form of ease. Of course, it was a surprise, and threw him off guard, but Kiruna used the settling dust to his advantage. Kilix would now not be able to see him cross his arms like a corpse and form two Ki balls, as he did earlier. But the orbs grew and grew, unlike before, and Kiruna then raised these two Ki blals above his head and formed them together in the form of the Super Chaos Cannon.
Kilix would find this incredible difficult to dodge. You see, Kilix would never be able to traverse the twenty feet radius that the huge blast would cover. This would be a very taxing effort on Kiruna, but he did have energy to spare, now that he had become Awakened Shadiohurcan, and he was wasting Ki at the moment. So he launched a masssive navy blue blast down upon Kilix, roaring as it closed in on the Liixan.
It moved with an incredible speed for such a large attack, but Kiruna had not gone high enough for the attack not to give him tremendous recoil. In fact, kiruna was launched backwards through the air, spinning wildly, until he turned it into a skillful descent and landed on the ground in a low crouching position. The blast by then had already hit, causing yet another massive cloud of dust which Kiruna couldn't see through, but he could just about sense Kilix.
He fired off a couple of warning Ki blasts, shooting through the dust and clearing it away. Then he dashed across the distance between him and his opponent, building up incredible momentum for one massive punch, bringing back his left fist then skidded to a halt as he swung it forward, maximising the reuslt as he aimed it for Kilix's chest.
By now, the paradise they had started their fight in, and both their shiny new armour, had been reduced to the same result: devastated. But still, the support from the arena was heartening to hear. The supporters were all going crazy, and Kiruna would have been incredibly pleased to have seen the sight.

Kilix couldn't see Kiruna's airbourne escape, but it was more than easy to sense his location. The Liixan tried to locate his opponent visually, squinting slightly as his eyes tried to sift through the dust clouds shrouding the area. He found no sign of Kiruna, but his mind instantly flared with warning lights when the dust cloud began to glow, the light from a forming Ki attack reflecting and refracting from all the dust particles in the air.
It was easy to tell this would not be an attack that was easy to avoid; he had lost a lot of power, all means of flight, and this was one mother of a blast. Kilix's head darted in all directions, surveying his chances of outrunning the beams radius. To put it in simple terms, it was hopeless. But he wasn't just going to let Kiruna have his victory. His mind whirred as possible plans came into his imagination, but none of them where pretty.
In the end, only one option seemed suitable. This thought proccess had taken little to no time; Kiruna was still charging the blast as Kilix held his palm over the button on his belt, a stream of capsules falling out of the container. He heard a clinking sound, and glanced momentarilly down at his belt. It was empty; every last one of his current stock of Ki-M-P grenades was lying on the floor in front of him.
The next few seconds were a flurry of movements. One hand darted furiously over each capsue, setting them on a cascading delay time, so that they would all inevitably detonate at once. The other had one finger oustretched, firing a constant barrage of Ki darts into the ground, the energy casting up dust as it displaced the ground beneath it. Kilix was tunneling.
He could feel the heat sifting through the hairs on his back. Kilix craned his head over his shoulder; the blast was upon him, he'd run out of time. He looked down at the closest Ki-M-P grenade. The number four displayed on it's screen. He gave a half-hearted smile; at least the timing was right. Pushing himself as far into his makeshift hole as he could, he had no option but to wait it out.
"This is gonna hurt..."['/color] he muttered.
The Ki-M-Ps couldn't have gone off a moment later; the shifting compartments in unison releasing a giant wave of Ki energy. The Chaos Cannon struck this bubble of energy, most of the attack continuing onwards, leaving the energy surrounding Kilix's makeshift shield stopped in it's tracks. Kilix felt the energy rushing out of his body like a tidal wave crashing though his limbs, his body immediatly becoming weak, as he stuck in his tunnel.
However, the Ki-M-Ps wern't going to work forever, the bubble giving way and allowing the remnants of the strike to break through. Kilix felt the earth compacting around him, as a wave of energy flooded into his shoddy defences. The blast hit him, and he felt the searing energy against his skin. He yelped in pain, the energy searing some of the hairs on his face and chest-- not burned away completely, but becoming blackened and charred.
When the attack was done, Kilix forced himself to move; he couldn't stay here, or he'd be picked off in an instant. He crawled pityfully from his hole, smarts and small burn wounds littering his chest. His entire body was in agony, but that faint strain of adrenalin kept him on. He could feel the energy of Kiruna coming closer, using the ounce of Ki that remained within him. He turned, seeing Kiruna now in full battle stride. His fist was drawn back, it was obvious what this attack would be.
Kilix strained with all his might to push some energy back into his tired and aching bones. He knew he had to avoid this, this attack could cost him the match, and he knew he had to have the ability to counteract it. He could feel faint whispers of energy playing up his veins, blood pumping around his body now in full flow. His eyes darted up to Kiruna again, the Shadowhurcan now less than a meter away. His arm was coming towards him, Kilix's mind pulsed with adrenalin and fear. The fist carried on, the knuckles ready to embed themselves in his chest.
And the punch hit. For a moment, to everyone watching, it seemed as if Kiruna had struck clear through the Liixan's chest, his fist protruding from the opposite end. But when the image of Kilix died away, all doubt would have been removed; Kilix was very much alive. On the battlefield, he pushed his body to it's very limits, as Kilix came at Kiruna from behind, ready for his last assault.
He knew his Ki blades were useless-- what good is a Ki blade with no Ki? So it was melee attacks only now. Kilix's appearence would be completely unexpected, attacking less than a second after the after image was hit, and with quite a lot of speed, attacking from behind. Kilix flexed his legs, launching him into the air, and spun himself around with a roundhouse to the back of Kiruna's head. Upon landing Kilix immediatly swung low, his leg continuing in it's circular momentum towards his opponents ankles. Wherever Kiruna was now, Kilix was ready, and his fists locked together in a hammer strike to his opponents torso; either the spine of the solar-plexus. Either attack could easily knock a grown man to his knees.
Kilix knew this was the last strike of the battle; and he was going to make it count.
