The sun rose slowly up the sky as the first gentle rays of sunlight pierced the shroud of night and brought light to the city of Esperanza. Lying in a small huddled ball on a roof-top was the inert figure of Jimmy Claymore, as the sunlight gently washed over him like a wave of warmth and comfort from the cold and dark night. His eyelids twitched a little before slowly opening as he groaned on the roof-top, his crimson eyes scanned the area quickly. A simple roof-top, white tiles covered it and there was a white-washed concrete barrier to prevent anybody falling off. He got up uneasily and rolled his neck with a few satisfying cracks that made him feel better, he got up and pulled on his leather jacket, a huge brown thing that he had been using as a blanket during his sleep, and rolled the sleeves up to their usual length. Now he had the unpleasent task of remembering how he got here...
He'd been in a city a little while south of here... not an unpleasent place, but there were some unpleasent people there. He'd been resting on a wooden step that lead up to their city hall when he saw three big guys pushing around a girl. She had bobbed black hair and... yes, she had a white martial arts Gi, not like the black ones that they wore in Hyugare. The three had weaker Ki auras but she was wearing some kind of bracelet that seemed to hold her power in check. Jimmy looked away, he didn't want to see this. He heard them taunt her and push her around but he tried to ignore it and not listen, him getting beaten up wouldn't hurt anything. Finally he saw one get bored of the pushing game and shoved her hard into a metal basin for horses to drink from, Jimmy felt something inside him snap and almost from a third person view he saw his body get up and shamble forward
"Leave her alone...." He said quietly, one of the biggest ones, he had a shaved head, replied
"What are you gonna do about it punk?"[glow=Red,20,300]"LEAVE HER ALONE!"[/glow] A dark red aura burst into life around him and his eyes became black coals that hid his demonic fury. The beast within had been roused, not enough to take over but enough for it to influence him... the first guy, the guy who'd spoken growled and threw a punch at Jimmy, he stepped back elegantly, kicking up a cloud of dust and with his palm guided the fist away. He slid his foot into place and throwing his weight into it slammed his elbow forward and with crunching force into the first mans face shattering his nose. The second guy had a mullet, blue hair (probably dyed) and dived in with a thrust kick, Jimmy lunged forward but slipped and bent so the leg past over him and he was left in mid-air beneath it. He spun on the spot and arced his leg up so it lunged upwards and crashed forcefully into the mans jaw making an unhealthy clack as his teeth mashed together. The final guy seemed to try running but a flying leg smacked into the backs of his knees and picked him off the ground. Spinning around Jimmy leapt up and drove down forcing the third guy into the ground and issuing forth a small burst of blood. He stood their laughing with malice dripping of every noise that left his throat. He was going in for the kill when he saw the girl again, she was still crying but looked at him afraid. The glow faded and Jimmy looked at her appealing with his blood red eyes
"Please... you aren't..." she huddled away from him, Jimmy dropped to his knees and sobbed his whole form crushed down, he lost control and now he couldn't even rest here. His eyes clouded by tears he burst into the air with a cloud of white ki and soared away, a single drop of salty water falling with a splash to the dust as he flew.
That was it... he groaned and rubbed the side of his head, he got up again from his sitting position and went down again via the fire-escape. It seemed that he was in Esperanza, maybe amongst the strong fighters he'd find people not afraid of him. He thrust his hands in his trouser pockets and explored the area, examaning the shining city in all its beauty.
