((Note: this takes place before the saiyan scouts' arrival...))
If one were to look at the moon that orbited the planet Dragonia; Lunos, then one would naturally assume that the small planetoid was devoid of life. The small sphere of rock orbiting the planet, like many other moons, did not have an atmosphere, immediately meaning that life on Lunos was an impossibility...at least, life that wasn't "intelligent" anyway...
On the dark side of the moon which faced away from the planet, something indeed lived. On the dark side of the moon was a civilisation that had managed to adapt to living on its seemingly lifeless surface. in one particular area, there was a series of buildings and tunnels, the buildings being dome-like in shape, with the networks of tunnels running between them and under the surface of the planetoid, where more of the settlement existed. The people who lived on this "moon base", so to speak, were saiyans. All over the galaxy, colonies of saiyans had been left to fend for themselves after the changeling known as Frieza had destroyed their homeworld. The colony that resided on the dark side of Dragonia's moon was just one of them.
Since that fateful day when Planet Vegeta was destroyed, a deep jealousy had emerged in the Saiyans' feelings towards the Dragonians. After all, it had them them, not the Dragonians, who had been forced into slavery, carrying out the changeling's dirty work to conquer planets and devoid them of life, while the Dragonians had been left alone, remaining at peace on their homeworld of Dragonia. The Saiyan's who lived in the Lunos settlemeny also lead very poor lives. Living conditions were appauling, and the people who lived there had to learn about survival the hard way. But, survive they did, adapting to their harsh living conditions. The fact that the Dragonians lead more much more comfortable lives on their homeworld helped fuel the resent the Saiyan's felt towards them, which in turn was beginning to turn to full hatred towards their Dragonian counterparts.
It should be noted however, that the saiyans did indeed have leadership. A saiyan by the name of Patota ruled over the people of the Lunos settlement. However, the leader of the Lunos Saiyan's armed forces was a man known as Turgor. Turgor was considered a lgend amongst the Lunosian Saiyans and was exceptionally powerful. Not only that, but he also possessed a brilliant strategic mind and was a natural leader, charismatic and brave to boot. This stable frame of leadership over the Lunosian Saiyans was very stable, as Patota was a caring leader, treating his people fairly as he used what he could to look after them. This stable leadership, however, was to be ruptured...
