War; The Lands of Parmecia, Part Two

Dragonia, within itself, isn’t the biggest of planets that have every come into existence, in fact its not even close to holding that title, but despite that fact over thirty billion people live within the planet in relative peace and harmony. As a combined continent it would be the lands of Parmecia and The Zolan Lands that house the highest population upon the planet, it summing up to just over a combined billion people; a melting pot of different races, and different types of people. However, at the very top of this enormous continent is the country known as Eastern Parmecia.

The land of Eastern Parmecia is based on several high-levelled plateaus; in fact the entire country is mainly one in itself, as the area is elevated several feet higher over the ocean than the other continents. Tall and serrated cliffs span the continent's rocky shores, and unless a valley dips down to create a tiny bay within the rocks the cliff faces run a few hundred feet above sea level. Other than this the land is flat and depressing.

Trees sprout up hither and thither along with numerous types of flowers, shrubs, and other types of flora. The land appears much more decorative when one of the many rivers running through the land is close by, or near one of the several natural lakes on the continent. The closer the continent is to the North Pole the colder and fresher the air seems to be. Most amazingly, a soft and cool breeze can always be found progressing smoothly across the country, spanning from the icy borders to the gently sloping hills near the borders of Western Parmecia.

It is believed that the people from Eastern Parmecia are the only nation capable of surviving under a socialistic basing. The people are spread across the wide land and are hidden from one another by nothing but the spacing itself. It is almost a ‘fend for yourself’ or a ‘survival of the fittest’ society where the people only know each other from public gatherings, such as school, community life, etc. With a very low rate of thievery and corruption of the people, unlike The Zolan Lands, it almost seems perfect that at least some of the Dragonians are able to live in this peace; a plain country for a plain type of people.

It was somewhat less of a surprise to the population of Eastern Parmecia that the invading armies army that was laying waste to the Western lands of Parmecia was now on their way toward their lands, with the means and intension of devastating their country just as they had done to Western Parmecia; news of terrifyingly proportioned evil travels fast.

With no direct threat of invasion from neighbouring continents and countries, other than then now obvious, Eastern Parmecia had ample amounts of forces at their disposal to defend themselves against the army that was rising out of the Westerly lands, the only problems were that time was short in assembling them and that their ‘forces’ consisted mainly of farmers; civilians.

The over all population of Eastern Parmecia was quite considerably smaller than that of Western Parmecia, this fact became a daunting one for the assembled forces of the Eastern Parmecian army; how could they defeat an invading force that completely obliterated one that was largely bigger than their own? It seemed an impossible feet. With no real leadership the country was in chaos and consumed in fear. They were trapped at the very end of their continent with nowhere to run but the sea, which many of the population took too.

But after several days stuck in a torturing wait the invading armies appeared on the horizon, a cloud of smoke and oranges of distant fires piercing the once beautiful blue sky. It was now that a battle for their land, and lives, would begin, but without any commanding officers to guide them the army scattered and fled in fear; easy pickings for the invading forces. Within a matter of days the majority of Eastern Parmecia was now under control. There were a few pockets of resistance here and there but most of the population, who had not already fled the continent for safer shores, were either dead or prisoners just like their Westerly brothers and sisters.

In less than a month the Saiyan, and Zolan Land, forces had conquered the entire span of the Parmecian lands, many of the fleeing Parmecians having fled toward the safe shores of Metapha; roughly a few million. The only countries that stood in Lord Turgor’s way of world dominance, and then extinction of the Dragonians, were Lavertia and Bedoe, it would be these two countries that would cause him the most hassle. Both Lavertia and Bedoe had large armies and were well known for their skills in warfare, after all the two countries had been at war against each other for several hundreds of years previously, but he had plans to deal with those two countries.

It was nearly time, nearly time to end the war.
