Aion nearly lept from his boots when Seth had spotted him. He wasn't really trying to hide himself, he was in plain sight, after all; but he hadn't expected to be noticed this early. "The demon, eh?" The general paused, he was honestly beginning to wonder if he had made a mistake by promising this "demon" protection. The last thing the group needed was more attention. "Kaworu's finishing up everything, looks like we have a guide to Steffson though. Interestingly, it turns out the little critter is just some possessed kid." His tone was so casual about the boy's status that one would think he'd dealt with these kinds of situations all the time. "A bit of a warning though...play along with his little game; it seems like he's been through a lot on his own. I'd like to gain his trust."
The Nenian relaxed his shoulders and tilting his head slightly to get a decent look at the woman behind the prince. After what he'd went through with that child, fixing his eyes upon a normal looking female was a blessing; especially with this one. "Good going, buddy. Seems like you reeled in a nice one." He whispered to Seth, hoping the woman didn't have a heightened sense of hearing; he would've given the prince a thumbs up if he wasn't trying to be subtle.
However, there was one tiny problem: While Aion believed his dear friends tale, none of those dangerous, barbaric, murderous, gang of buzzards were present. Hell, other than a few feathers, no evidence was left behind. Aion's crimson eye scanned the area for anything, signs of blood, a struggle. Anything that would point to one of the birds meeting their death at the end of Seth's blade. "Seth....." The Nenian spoke softly, staring the prince right in his eyes. This would probably be the only time Seth would sense the mixture of sadness, sorrow, and overall annoyance that the general currently felt. "Please tell me you managed to capture at least one for us to snack on...."

(OOC: I’m going to post out of turn, to keep activity up!)
"The demon, eh? Kaworu's finishing up everything, looks like we have a guide to Steffson though. Interestingly, it turns out the little critter is just some possessed kid."
Seth was honestly surprised by this. The Demon was nothing more than a child? That made him seem a lot less scary, at least to Seth. He had been worried, just moments before, when Aion had mentioned that the Demon would be coming with them, as a guide, to Steffson, but now Seth didn’t seem to mind at all.
"A bit of a warning though...play along with his little game; it seems like he's been through a lot on his own. I'd like to gain his trust."
“Don’t worry sir,” Seth replied quickly, puffing his chest out and standing tall. “You can count on me.” after his triumph with the birds Seth was beginning to feel confident with himself, more so than he actually could take credit for considering the actual truth of the matter.
Aion leaned to the side to look at the woman off behind Seth. "Good going, buddy. Seems like you reeled in a nice one." he whispered in Seth’s ear.
At that instant Seth spun his head around to look at the mysterious woman. She was extremely pretty. He suddenly found that his face was burning hot, his cheek a deep crimson colour and so he quickly turned his head back around to face Aion, he couldn’t let her see him like this. He was about to say something to Aion when the general beat him to it.
"Seth....." Instantly Seth knew something was wrong. He had never heard the general use such a tone before, it was sad and annoyed, and he was looking Seth straight into the eyes. "Please tell me you managed to capture at least one for us to snack on...." Seth’s eyes immediately widened as he realised the mistake he made. The answer was obvious, and the question was more than likely rhetorical, Seth knew this. His head dropped and he looked down at the ground without responding at first.
“I…” it was all he could manage. He knew the mistake he had made. None of them had eaten in an extremely long time, none of them knew when their next meal would be either, and Seth had just scared away their chance for a meal.

Though many a Zelian had told him, Go to hell!, the child had no idea of such a place. He had no idea of other demons either, other than none had existed. All other information on them is what he made up. Right now would be impossible to convince him he's actually a normal Reillain child; other than that he grows an exoskeleton.
I'm hungry... They said they'll give me food, and I want it now! "Are we going or not! It's going to get dark soon then you won't be able to see me." He even loses himself at night, especailly when it's a night of the new moon. If they get lost, then there would be no way he can get food. Let's go now!"

His question wasn't entirety rhetorical. At the back of the general's mind he knew the answer, however, his brain still tightly grasped onto that single thread of hope, one that bordered on fantasy, keeping the reality of the situation pushed deep down within the depths of his psyche.
Although it had taken a few awkward, eerie, silent moments, the Nenian finally came to understand Seth's mannerism; his current depressed and confused appearance disappearing, being replaced by one of absent of any emotion at all. If this were the battlefield, this would've been the sign for both the young prince and woman to flee from the immediate area.
"O-oh...I get it..." Aion finally spoke, his upper body slumping over completely in defeat. The general was taking all of this surprisingly well, for a person who hadn't eaten for a thousand years.
The Nenian glanced backward, hearing the demon child's demanding roar from a little ways back. He could hear the nearby sounds of untamed fowl exiting wildly through the tops of trees to escape what they had deemed a predator. Simply letting out a small sigh, the proud Nenian warrior seriously began to wonder what he had gotten himself into; and, for the first time in his adventurous life, if he'd survive it.

Seth continued to look at his feet while Aion remained silence. Though that he hadn’t answered Aion’s question properly, the young prince knew that the general already knew the answer; it might as well have been rhetorical. It wasn’t until now that Seth realised how out of place he really looked. He could only see his feet and the bottom of his legs in truth, but that was enough. His clothes had a regal awe to them, from the material down to the stitching, it was all fit for royalty; despite everything he had been through the clothing had hardly even been stained or dirtied. Maybe I should change my clothing? He briefly though. It sounded like a good idea, though he would have to ask the generals advice first, which brought him abruptly to the problem at hand.
"O-oh...I get it..." at that point Aion’s upper body slumped forward in what appeared to be a show of defeat, as if he had given up.
“…I am sorry…” Seth added quickly, though quietly. He was ashamed he had let down the group, had let down the general, because he hadn’t thought about all the relative issues before leaping into action - if action was even the word to describe it. He knew he had lots to learn but he hadn’t truly realised how much until this moment. “I-I am not used to…it’s just that…” he felt he had to defend himself, defend his thoughtless actions. He wasn’t used to this situation, living off of the wild, fending for himself and others. He was a prince; he was catered for, lived in a beautiful palace with servants to tend to his every need. No…not anymore.
“General…I will try better.”
