Tidus would have to speak with Garoten later. Someone had just come into the room claiming to be Sulas-Ril, Second Alleviator to Lady Elmelda, explained how evil the council was, and then offered a plan to escape. If I see even one of those 'warriors' that opposed my escape plan try and escape, I'm going to beat the crap out of the. I wonder if that baby Nenian will run for it.
We'll talk later Garoten, it seem's us real men will be getting out of this play pen very soon. One nagging question though. Where are Markis and Nishaio? I assumed they would fall into the 'Dragonia's Powerful Warriors' category. And what about Jen, Does this huge time gap mean she's? Tidus couldn't finish. The thought of her being dead sent shivers down his spine.
And if so, what would it take to write her back to.
Tidus stopped mid sentence. He was really asking how much power would the scroll require, but as he raised the scroll showing it to Garoten, something was wrong. Something was very wrong! The scroll was no longer its snow white color, with gold trimming. It was now pitch black, with blood red stains along where the trimming used to be.
What would cause the scroll to turn black? Does it still work? Is it safe to test it? What the heck is going on?
Tidus' thoughts were interrupted by a resounding crack. the whole wall, from side to side and ceiling to floor, was reduced to a pile of rubble. This must have been the time to escape!
As tempting as it was for Tidus to stay back, and wait for (in Tidus opinion) one of those baby's like Ryan, or Aion to come walking out so he could smack them upside the head with his staff for being two-faced baby's, Tidus began to run, as fast as he could. He felt power flow through him once again, the power the council had taken from him. It wouldn't really do him any good, most of his power he had to be standing still to use, and he doubted that he could just blow up the outer wall. this was one of those, 'Dang it, I wish I could fly!' moments, that Tidus seemed to have a lot of. He took out his staff, which he had cleverly concealed with the scroll, as well as his boomerang when they woke back up in the cave. He extended it as far as he could, and once he approached the wall he planted one end in the ground in front of him, and gave a leap. Once he was as high as the staff would take him, he jumped, but was still far to short, and slammed into the wall in front of him, falling down on his back, accompanied by the staff which landed on his face with a thud. Tidus stood clenching his fist and starring at the outer-wall in front of him with a look of sheer hatred.
Oh freaking come on!
It was off to 'plan B', Which when Tidus thought it over, should have been plan A.
Tidus planted his hands against the outer wall and created a ramp of ice over a section of the wall, and then easily climbed over it. He landed flat on his face on the other side, and after another quick Oh dang it! He sprinted off to the north, hoping Garoten would soon be close behind.

Rizuk watched with a detached disinterest as one of their number, he thought he might have been with Loki but wasn't sure, attempted his escape. As entertaining as it was, he wasn't doing a particularily constructive job "I'm not sure I want to escape now... they'll group me in with people like that" Rizuk grumbled. He was relieved to finally feel some WARMTH from the fire in his soul returning. He shoved his hands in his pockets and hopped onto the remnants of the wall to look down from his squatting position. It was 20 feet down... how had that guy messed up TWICE getting out of here? With a casual glance at the other prisoners to see if they were going to move, Rizuk hopped down and dropped the 20 feet easily, thumping into the grass fairly hard. They probably had a minute or two before the guards were after them again. He could probably get out of this with relative ease but he wasn't going to be alone in this strange future with everyone after him. He'd end up sleeping rough. There was a flicker of flames along his body and an inferno engulfed his form, the fire spiralling and twirling into shape, the raging heat of the fire casting an amber glow about the area as it finally coalesced into a form.
Crimson scales littered the body of this newly formed creature, its long neck glittered as it moved its head to the destroyed wall once more, its teeth were enormous fangs of enamel and its claws were digging into the earth as the sinewy bat like wings on its back twitched and stretched in the air. It's voice, when it spoke, growled like thunder and the air was filled with a noise that must have been similar to a burning bush to a traveller in the desert. Unfortunately, the words it spoke quickly dashed any reverence it may have induced "Alright, you sons of bitches, get on my back. We can drive-by the city as we go, y'know, blow some shit up" the logic was sound. As this was, TECHNICALLY, his base form, even if they sealed their abilities he'd still be able to fly fine and, ergo, they could escape the city complex and be away before they even figured out they were gone. Unless they suddenly de-activated his powers mid-flight and he turned out to be wrong. But the odds of that weren't all that high, right?

By the time Tidus finally got around to answering Garoten's earlier questions, the escape plan had been set into motion and it was too late to talk. Everyone in the room reacted in his own way to the sudden feeling of his or her power returning. For his own part, Garoten frowned at the sudden feeling of alertness that washed over him. Having no power had meant all of the talk about escaping and dealing with the consequences had been just that - talk. Now that his power was back, the weight of the world seemed to come with it in the form of responsibility - for him, for Tidus, for the scroll, and for every person in this new world on whom they might have an impact. For a moment he was immobilized by the thought. Then the guy with whom he had just been arguing proved his merit after all by somehow destroying the outside wall. Tidus was gone in a flash.
"Thanks. Good luck to you all."
And just as quickly, he was off on the trail of his younger friend - just in time to watch him slam into the wall in a poorly executed pole vault attempt. Using his speed, Garoten covered the distance to the outer wall before Tidus had finished his ramp and vaulted neatly to the top of the wall while The other scrambled up a sheet of ice.
"I could have told you you were to short for that, you know."
He grinned, then dropped gracefully to the ground. Seconds later, the two were only a pair of blue and red streaks leading away from the wall.

Kaworu had been consoling his friends and keeping them calm above worrying about the others conversations and apparent problems with leaving or not but once the sign was shown because his full powers and those of his friends returned, the angel and deamon both stood up and nodded knowing that heading in a similar direction to some of the other was a fairly good idea but first they thought they'd help the others.
So with only seconds Kaworu produced a strangely blue orb from his hands then used his fingers to write delays and instructions into it saying for it not to effect those who previously resided in this chamber or those helping to free them, then he threw the orb into the hall way which then split into two and headed in separate directions soon erupting in the most populated areas unbeknown to those around them. The E.M.P (Emotional Magical Pulse) had been set to confusion and laziness so as to give time to him and his fellow inmates more time to escape this fun then both Kaworu and Shannon walked onto the dragon's back then faced each other, with a devilish smile the dimensional counterparts sprouted wings from their backs Kaworu's a faded white while Shannon's a pale black both of which resembled angel wings.
They then faced their friends and motioned for them to follow onto the dragon so Augury and the twins did so and then Shannon picked up the twins while Kaworu picked up Augury and they all started flying, "Mind if we join in on the fun, but we don't kill innocents but causing a ruckus should be interesting" Kaworu asked Rizuk as he floated near the dragon god's face. Augury had calm in her current position even thou most would not be content being suspended at an impossible height but she trusted Kaworu without question due to the length of time she's spent traveling with him, she got her staff ready for maxim effect but minimal organic damage and pointed towards those guards below amplifying Kaworu Emotional Magical Pulse to the rest of the estate and surrounding areas making sure not to temper with the other effects.

There wasn't much the Nenian could respond with, especially given the chain of events that had just taken place; Aion simply nodded at Ryan, and turned tail, walking off at an accelerated pace toward Rizuk's direction. "If there's anything else you want to get out do it now, Seth. We must hurry." He ordered, as he passed the prince.
The young man wasn't disgruntled, because if a single person were to stay behind and deal with the council, it should be Ryan; he had more experience in dealing with people those types. Aion couldn't argue logic. However, this situation didn't revolve around his analyzation, there were too many unknowns...too many "what ifs". Needless to say, not having a full understanding of what he was getting into scared him.
Aion was a person who lived his life by Lavertia's rules and his training; his life revolved around his job as a general and an ambassador. He had a tendency to over analyze a situation; and he definitely wasn't one to take a risk. To the Nenian, everything had to be planned out accordingly, every soldier accounted for, every exploit erased from existence. Everything had to be perfect. Perhaps, this was his biggest weakness of all.
Aion climbed upon the dragon's back quickly, motioning back at Seth to hurry up. However, his attention was snatched up by Rizuk's words. The Nenian was left somewhat in shock at the suggestion of destroying any part of the city. "No no no no! Absolutely no destruction, of any kind! " Aion protested. "We already have enough charges on us with fleeing from prison!"

Post by Ryan - Loki on Jan 13, 2009 19:56:57 GMT
As Aion passed Seth he nodded to the general and turned back towards Ryan. He felt unsure with what he was about to do. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Aion, he had served under him and his father for many years with devoted loyalty, but this world wasn’t what it once was, not as he remembered it; that alone was daunting enough. Leaving Ryan behind didn’t sit well with Seth either. He knew that he wanted to stay behind and it was of his own accord, but it still didn’t feel right. He knew he couldn’t change his mind, so he had no intention of trying, or dragging out their farewell.
“Farewe- I mean, goodbye teacher.” he corrected himself as he spoke to Ryan, giving the smallest of bows of his head as he finished. Turning on his heel Seth moved to run over to the large dragon, who moments ago was a foul and loud mouthed man. A strange world indeed. he thought momentarily. However, his thoughts were soon interrupted as someone grabbed his arm from behind.
Stopping in his tracks he turned and looked at the culprit; it was Ryan. He was standing once more, an intense look in his eye as he stared at Seth. For a few moments Seth believed there was something wrong, but what? Then Seth noticed movement down between them and looked down to see what it was, his curiosity overriding his senses. It was Ryan’s hand and it was held out in front of him, within his grasp one of his two Twin Reavers. Seth was astonished yet surprised; he hadn’t even noticed that Ryan had let go of his arm, and the old samurai only had one good arm to work with. Confusion swept over him as he continued to glance down at the ancient blade.
“Take it.” he said softly. His face was blank of true expression though there was a softness to it within the wrinkles of his skin. With a sudden jolt of his hand he pushed the sword forward, lifting it up against Seth’s chest. “Take it, it is yours. Think of it as your first step on your journey.”
Seth moved his arms and took the blade, knowing it was not only futile to refuse the gift but also the height of rudeness. Slowly he lowered it down to his side and looked on at his teacher. Emotion whelmed up inside of him, threatening to overflow out from within him, but he fought it back. It was then that Ryan turned his back on the prince.
“Now go.” he muttered softly. “Quickly!” he hissed.
Seth hesitated for a moment, almost moving to take a step towards Ryan, but he thought best against it, turned and moved off towards the dragon and Aion. Moving up the dragons hind leg Seth climbed aboard and moved next to Aion. He heard them speaking, Aion and the other upon the dragon, even the dragon himself, but Seth didn’t pay them anymore attention than simply hearing them, instead he merely continued to look down at the sword. My new sword.
As Rizuk took off, taking Aion, Seth and the other escapees away with him, Ryan let out a quiet sigh. He was, for the better part, alone; though it was not a feeling he was devoid of, especially from his past. Moving over to where he remembered the door to the room being Ryan simply stood in front of it, staring at the wall for a few seconds before knelling, his sword laid out on the floor directly in front of him. He would meditate until the Knights arrived, which wouldn’t be too much longer.

I watched with something akin to awe as the others left the room in their various manners familiar to them. I was struck by the pure and awesome force of life and energy these people exuded once their powers had been restored, and I wondered if I would ever be so lucky to be as powerful and respected as they.
With a contented sigh, I disengaged my sight to allow me an unimpeded view of an incredible escape; an exodus I was likely never to see again, of new-found allies and friends that may very well perish as I live, or flourish as I die here in this magical prison.
Suitably satisfied, I walked over to where Ryan had set himself and plopped myself across from him, my back against the exit wall, just next to where I assumed it to be. I leaned my head against the cool stone and smiled to myself before I turned to look at the gentleman just across from me. I blinked, then raised my right arm to offer him my hand.
"Hey there. Brandon Haggardy. Friends call me Prometheus."
====================================================
Several guards came running up the hallway toward the Holding entrance, weapons drawn, their grim faces set behind their blank, lowered visors. They slowed when they noticed their sleeping comrade, which quickly became their downfall. A small blue orb passed through the barrier and bounced once against the stone floor before it detonated outward in a surprising show of force. Instantly, the seven Knights all stood upright in a disorienting bought of confusion, amplified by an apathy that stole over them and caused them to simply look around before walking casually back the way they'd come.
Outside, it was a different story.
The Knights making their way to the escaping detainees were much more heavily armored, and were also better prepared after seeing the pure devastation to the Holding wall. This time, when the wave of EMP came at them, the fell to one knee and raised their shields which glowed blue as the EMP contacted, then passed over them harmlessly. Immediately, they moved their cover and one pulled out a small length of silver chain.
With an emphatic grunt of effort, he hurled it at the dragon's left foreleg, and upon contact, it lengthened and wrapped itself around the circumference of the limb. The knight performed a victorious fist-pump, but it was short lived. After only a few seconds, the chain snapped as if it had been pulled apart by some great force, though nothing acted upon it.
"It broke the Seal! That's no magic, that's its actual form!"
Suddenly, the Knights that had stormed into battle seemed hesitant to step any closer to the creature, even though they were well clear of even a swipe of its massive tail. One of the knights placed his hand against his helm, and spoke as if into a microphone.
"Lord Therick! The Warriors are escaping into Warden, we need reinforcements and Lord Ser-Nyskel to check his summoning!"
A response crackled back, and the knight seemed to be bolstered by what he'd heard. He nodded to himself, then stood straight and turned to his companions.
"We are to hold back until reinforcements arrive."
=======================================================
Garoten and Tidus managed to get beyond the wall and into the main University grounds, and they were met with no resistance. A few people leaned out of windows and doors or stopped in the streets to gawk at the strange people fleeing the premises, but there was not a hand raised to try and stop them. Each building seemed similar to its neighbor, but slightly different in subtle ways; that one was an off-white while this one was a dull gray, and this other one had an extra window on the ground floor.
"HEY!" A voice shouted from a second-story window to try and get their attention. A skinny young man with glasses and a pinched face was leaning dangerously far over his sill, waving anxiously at the pair. "Sulas-Ril warned us you'd come, quick! They won't think to look so close to the wall!"
Down on their level, the heavy wooden door opened, and a young woman who looked strikingly similar to the man upstairs peered about nervously as she waited for Garoten and Tidus to either enter or flee.

"By all means, destroy what you like" Rizuk was fairly calm as people loaded up, it was unsurprising when the guards were prepared for an attack and blocked whatever the floating guy had done. He flicked his tail absent-mindedly as Aion boarded and emphatically requested they didn't destroy too much, which did make sense, if they ever tried to make peace saying "I nuked half the Theatre district" would hardly go down well. He blinked as a chain wrapped around his leg and flexed the muscles hidden beneath the scaly mass. The chain was alreadty bursting but this at least made him feel stronger for pulling it off. They looked slightly less confident now... good. "Alright, Frosty, we can compromise, I'll only do retaliation fire. Sound fair?" with this clear, he leant forward and breathed out heavily, igniting the air as it escaped his lungs and unleashing a small gulf of fire that scorched the ground in front of the knights. He always did like knights, the metal conducted heat well so it was always quite fun to watch them cook THEMSELVES. But, murder was probably not a great idea. It'd upset Aion. And the last thing he needed would be an Ice elemental of that magnitude mad at him AND riding his back. His wings stretched and creaked into the air, before beating down powerfully and propelling them upwards, a powerful draft blasting downwards as he ascended.
He waved a talon at Ryan and Brandon as he reached optimum floating height and began to pound the air with powerful flaps as he directed himself towards the city walls. He looked back to the assembled masses of knights and raised his tail, strained for a second and sighed "Damn, not full enough. That would have been hilarious. Good luck with your re-inforcements, they better be pretty freakin' amazing" He turned once more in his motion and began to beat his wings, the aerial view gave him a good idea of the city limits, now they just had to get there. Clearing the first wall wasn't an issue, he sailed over ot gracefully and turned to watch two of their other colleagues hurry into a building in the univeristy. Should they follow them? In this form, they could easily escape the city of Ithroia and plan a counter-attack from the country-side. But was that the best idea? He knew his gut instinct, but he didn't know how these people would react. He had to ask 'em "Hey! Aion! What do we do now? Do we escape or go to the university. We can get away clean like this but I have no idea what this place is like around here. You too, Angel-Boy, I need more opinions" considering their prone position, floating above a large block of housing, this was probably not the best time to realise his plan was mildly flawed and he hadn't thought this far ahead.

Kaworu and Shannon had kept up with Rizuk with no problems and was floating on either side of the massive dragon who was now asking Aion and himself their opinions which so far wasn't something he seemed to do often, so the dimensional angel gave it some thought about weather they should fly off into unknown lands and make a battle and or infiltration plan but that probably wasn't a good idea because the lay of the land had changed since they were last here.
"Well I'm not really sure, since we don't know the area anymore because it's likely to have changed over time it would be best if we did seek out those students the healer guy told us about. But landing a massive dragon and two angel winged people into a crowded city would more then likely draw attention to us, I think we should find a safe place to land so we can return to a less conspicuous form and then go to where scroll boy and the guardian fellow went and see what help they'll be" expressed Kaworu as he adjusted his grip on Augury just to make she didn't slip because he'd never forgive himself if something happened.

Tidus came to a halt as he heard a voice call out to them, puzzled at why someone was calling for them. He assumed at first it was someone protesting their escape, but then again, who would be calling out and threatening two warriors who just escaped from to Tidus knowledge, the most secure prison in the country?
"HEY!"
"Hold up Garoten!"
Tidus looked up to see a skinny young man with glasses leaning out of the window and anxiously waving at them
"Sulas-Ril warned us you'd come, quick! They won't think to look so close to the wall!"
Tidus paused for a moment, though time was running out. He wasn't sure whether these people, or anyone in this town could be friendly or not. His time for considering was running out. So he had to choose now!
Dang it. I'm not so sure about trusting these people, but I know Garoten will. He puts way too much faith in strangers, like that baby Nenian, or Ryan.
Tidus after long consideration, decided to take advantage of these peoples generosity, supposing it was real and not a trap. As the door on the first floor opened Tidus dashed for it, and ran inside, nearly tripping on once of the stone steps leading to the doorway.
What would Nishaio do? Wait, I really need to stop asking myself that, of course he would run! He could across this entire city in the time it would take you to blink! Oh well, at least we can shake off these 'Tin Cans'!

Aion scanned the area below them. They had to reach that safe house; and though it goes without saying, the Nenian knew how persistent soldiers could be. In minutes this area would be covered in knights, and with the recent information they were just given, Aion definitely didn't want to face them; however, there wasn't much of a choice. Even if the group escaped Warden, they were wanted fugitives, in no more than five hours search teams would be after them. When taking into consideration their ignorence of Ithroia's layout, this would make their return to Warden near impossible.
"He's correct." The Nenian finally spoke up, in agreement with the angel. "However, we can't miss this chance. Rizuk, get us near the ground and transform a fast as possible." Aion asked firmly, his request sounding more like an order. "I'll distract the knights while you all retreat to the house."

Surprising.
The very same person who had been denouncing their plans to escape had single handedly created a way for the annoyed group to flee. The Jenevan didn't know whether to criticize him for his apparent hypocrisy or thank him., He did save Ray the effort of phasing everyone through the castle wall. Though it would've been an exhausting task, it sure would've been quieter. They probably would've had more time to get out of this place before their feat was discovered and their abilities were sealed away again.
Then again, they didn't need that much time. Now, he just needed to settle on a tactic.
It took two seconds to come up with a plan.
The warrior extended his right arm out to his side and concentrated. In a flicker of a brilliant blue light, Ray's Katana, locked tightly in its sheathe, appeared within his hand. Attaching it to his body harness, he then concealed himself within his cloak and crouched down a bit. Granted, this next step could've been easily accomplished without such a motion, he did it anyway.
With minimal effort, the young warrior took a mighty leap, moving at an amazing speed. His body blurred through the air before he impacted the land some ways off with a thud. Flying was a nice choice as well, but he didn't want to waste time having to dodge airborne projectiles. He'd still be vulnerable while leaping, but that'd also lead to the destruction of their own property. He doubted they'd want to do such a thing simply to capture him.
And so, he was off into the air once more. He glanced behind him to see others gathering on what appeared to be a massive dragon, and then followed the paths of those who took off running moments before he did. From the looks of it, everyone who decided to leave would make it out safely, as long as someone isn't a clumsy asshat who trips.
After coming down for the second time, Ray simply ran, his powerful legs allowing him to preform mighty strides. As he came upon the wall, he simply turned his psychokinetic powers on himself, using his telekinetic talents on himself, rendering his body intangible. He passed harmlessly and effortlessly through the stone and immediately solidified after passing through.
Now that he was safe, what would he do? He couldn't see the other two anymore, and he remembered that the Sulas guy said something about linking up with others, but should he bother? Then again, he knew nothing about this world, so having some allies, even if for a brief moment, would be a good idea.
Then again, he knew nothing about this world prior to the time skip anyway, so going off alone was also an option.
Though now, he had someone gunning for him. Ray looked into the sky, spying the dragon man with the others on his back. With nothing else to guide him, he'd just have to wait a moment to see what they would do before moving on.

Post by Ryan - Loki on Jan 22, 2009 13:20:55 GMT
(OOC: I've taken over the story posts people.)
Slowly Ryan’s eyelids broke apart, revealing his two azure blue eyes. He found himself looking upon a young man. Immediately Ryan recognised the boy as not only the one who had demonstrated a most powerful ability by exploding the prison wall without actually seeming to do anything to it, but he was also the only one who had decided to stay within the prison with Ryan – Loki and his two servants not included. A small smile broke across Ryan’s face, the lines of his scars deepening as he did so.
“My name is Ryan Jiaoimasu, and it is an honour Brandon Haggardy.” Ryan finally said, nodding his head ever so slightly in a discreet show of respect. Ryan had no reason to distrust the young man, neither did he have reason not to respect him, so until he was given reason to he would not dishonour himself or Brandon by passing judgement.
As accustomed to many Brandon had offered his hand in a handshake and though it wasn’t the custom of Ryan’s own people to do so he extended his own hand and shook it in turn. It had been a part of his position within the Lavertian royal palace to speak with several ambassadors from all the different countries across Dragonia, so having a diverse knowledge of their different customs was a must. After the handshake was completed Ryan returned his hand back down to his lap before speaking.
“I am glad that at least some one else had the desire to stay.” He commented softly, attempting to speak as privately as humanly possible within their current situation. “As you can see, it is often nigh impossible to convince warriors to do battle using words and intelligence as their weapons rather than with fists and steel.” For the briefest of moments Ryan’s smile formed into the smallest of grins before returning back to its original state.
“If truth be told I was worried I would be alone within this place, especially with Loki and Dramanius opting to remain,” he gave the smallest inclination of a nod back towards their position, though he doubted that Brandon had yet to hear their names. “I feel much better knowing I have the intelligent company of a powerful young man while we stay here, for we may be here for some time. Negotiation after such a high-scale escape will be difficult and is something I have never been faced with before.”
Ryan’s sentence was cut short by the sudden noise of footsteps echoing within the corridor outside of the prison, footsteps that were rapidly approaching. Ryan’s smile faded completely. “Ah, it seems we’re up Master Brandon.” Ryan’s voice was calm. “A few pieces of advice, if I may be so bold to offer them. If you feel that you are going to say something that may harm our stance here then please, refrain from speaking – though if you feel you have something of great value to point out then speak up immediately. Negotiation is a difficult process. Remain calm at all times, if possible.” Ryan offered him a reassuring, brief smile. “All will be fine.”
====================================================
Seth heard Aion’s words simply looked down at the sword within his hand. He trusted Aion with his life, as he had always done with Ryan, but now things were different, and now he had to act different. “I’ll stay with you.” He stated to Aion, looking at him directly. Though he had tried with all of his might to sound confident, his voice had somewhat failed him and he ended up sounding somewhat unsure of what he was doing, as if he almost instantly regretted his decision.
====================================================
“Quick! Hurry!” The man shouted out again to the escapees who were flying the dragon. There wasn’t much time to act, and the man knew this. He frantically waved his arms about, making sure that he had got their attention and that they had not seen him. He couldn’t do much more than what he already was, not unless he wanted to draw even more attention to himself and their location, as if a huge dragon flying above the city wasn’t attention enough.
====================================================
The Knights had already regrouped and reinforcements had already joined them. With their numbers greatly strengthened they were ready to face anything hardships that may confront them from the warriors of time, even a real Dragon. The dragon was easy enough to track considering it was still in plain sight above the city, and so the Knights too off in it’s direction. The distance would be covered quick enough, and soon they would recapture the prisoners.

Stopping was the last thing on Garoten's mind. The Knights didn't seem so formidable now that his powers were back, but then he wouldn't be fighting them on an even playing field like in the old days. This was a magically enhanced army. For one thing, fighting armies hadn't really ever ended so well for the heroes when they were united, let alone in scattered clumps like this. For another thing, he'd never fought a mage. Saiyans? Sure. Evil robots? Check. Mutated monsters? Double check. Other warriors like himself? More times than he could count. But magic frightened him. The way that seal had simply separated their powers from them with no chance to fight back was too much.
"HEY!"
So when a guy waved at him and shouted for them to stop, Garoten flashed past him so fast it nearly ripped the glasses from his face, but another sound caused him to reconsider.
"Hold up Garoten!"
Tidus wanted to stop? Certain the younger warrior must know something he didn't, Garoten reversed course in one step with a move he'd learned from Falkan. He planted his right foot and spun so that when his left came down, he was already heading back toward the house. He dashed through the door right on Tidus's heels and came to an abrupt halt in a small, sparsely furnished room. Surprisingly enough, other warriors came tumbling through the doorway. Garoten had been certain he probably wouldn't see any of them again. Still gripping his staff tightly, he glanced expectantly from Tidus to the man who had waved them inside. The fact that Tidus wasn't already threatening to dismember anyone was probably a good sign, but he was still wary about these people. Who was to say they wouldn't just hand them back over to the Knights? The Council didn't seem like the kind of people one defied lightly, and it might be too much to hope for this slight, bespectacled stranger to be the one guy who didn't mind crossing them..
"Tidus, any particular reason why we stopped? We could be halfway out of the city by now!"

Aion nodded in response to Seth. "Don't get fancy, we're just going to create a big enough distraction to lose them." The young man stated, hoping this would calm the prince down a little. All things considered, he could sympathize with the prince's lack of confidence; after all, before hooking up with his new companions, the Nenian hadn't seen much battle outside of the usual border skirmishes. Actually having the chance to do battle against those with power similar to his was still a new experience. "Killing is a last resort. Remember that."
Without another word, the Nenian lept from the dragon's back, beginning his free-fall into the crowded streets of Warden. Once reaching his desired distance from the group the young man's arms shot outward; almost instantly, as if it were summoned by some divine force, a wide, eliminating bridge of ice formed a yard in front of Aion's current position and the ground; allowing a safe way of travel for his companions who were unable to fly.
As the Nenian's feet touched the bridge, he began to slide downward at an incredible speed, one that would surely shock the knights; and even more unfortunate for the knights, he was on a collision course with them, showing no signs of slowing down. Not that he had any intention of doing so, of course. It was their choice: clear the area or get knocked down like bowling pins. Needless to say, Aion couldn't help, but chuckle; a kamikaze tactic wasn't usually part of his arsenal, there were too many variables, too many dangers, but improvisation was necessity in this situation.
