(OOC: People just so you all know you can also post in the saga thread as well as being in this thread, as we can quite easily realise that the saga thread happens after this one. We'll run both at the same time, ok? So all of you get posting in the 'Saga: Meeting' thread! )

Tidus was still screaming and charging Markis when something knocked him away about twenty feet. He gripped the scroll tightly as he flew through the air until he landed and slid on his side. He looked up, still seeing Markis standing as if he'd hardly noticed his attack. Raged flowed through his veins, and he stood, ready to charge Markis again! He extended his staff behind his back and started to charge, but jerked to a stop as everything seemed to fade into blackness. He heard a voice echoing through his head. "Warriors of Dragonia, hear my words. I am in need of your immediate assistance. For those who wish to help me I promise glory, riches and power beyond your wildest possible dreams. All of you who are interested meet up with two of my allies in the most northern part of the country where the land dies, the mountains surround and the time appears to stand still; the old ruins in the North of Metapha. That is where your journey begins. They will be there at midnight but they will not wait for long. Without your help all will be lost. Hurry." Tidus dwelt on the words as he drifted into reality. Power beyond my wildest dreams. The power to bring my family back! As Tidus faded back into reality he noticed Nishaio and Markis had blades crossed, glaring into each others eyes with pure hatred. Nishaio groaned as he had appearently heard the voice too. He did not know Loki that well, but he did know two things: He was powerful, and he was a menace to Dragonia. There was no doubt in his mind, Loki was back. "Allina, Aneiya. I will protect you." Markis was intrigued by this voice, who was it? He would withdraw for now, the voice would be a perfect distraction, and he needed not to continue this pointless battle. What would he gain by killing these simple pawns? Nothing. However, he needed to meet with his two captains, as this event may prove a perfect distraction for them to get some work done. "It was Divine Intervention that placed the scroll in my hands, and it will be Divine intervention that returns it to me." With that thought, Markis would gladly leave the scroll behind. He raised his sword up over his head as it started to shimmer, then glow, soon so brightly that it stopped all the warriors in their tracks. Nothing could be seen but white. When they did regain their vision, Markis was gone. Nishaio was both weary, and relieved at Markis's departure. There was no time to say goodbye to his young friend Tidus, he had to protect his family. With the blink of an eye, he too was gone, followed by a hard gust of wind. Tidus retracted his staff. "Midnight eh? I best be moving." Tidus glanced at the other warriors, his face stricken with sorrow.
"Thanks guys, You really saved us there. I hope we can meet again on better terms." With that and a nod, Tidus was off to Metapha!

((Sorry to go out of order - I want to get over to the saga thread - I won't be affecting anyone I hope.))
Like one of those Summer storms that everyone remembers, the battle ended as quickly as it had begun. The mysterious message seemed to have affected everyone profoundly. Nishaio, Markis, Tidus, and the android all disappeared in rapid succession, leaving only the White Knight and Ryan in the clearing. Sensing no danger from one of Dragonia's truest heroes (at least according to Rhia), he dropped his guard and his weapons and saluted the older warrior with a right fist over his heart and a short bow.
"Ryan Jiaoimasu. We haven't met, but I've heard about your reputation. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't really believe anyone can honestly offer what that voice is promising. If I'm wrong, explain on the way - I'm going to Metapha to stop this man."
He switched off the external comm and spoke to Rhia:
="Plot a course for Metapha. Let's take it easy until we're over the ocean, then we'll hit supersonic."=
Slowly, in order to give Ryan time to intervene, he lifted off and began a casual flight over the treetops.

(OOC: Good thread everyone! If you're yet to post your last post in this thread, don't worry, post away! But hurry over to the Meeting thread, it's alreadt started!)
It appeared that Markis completely ignored Ryan, which was more than a little infuriating, but more costly than anything else as Ryan had failed in grasping his attention and as a direct result an extremely familiar man was now doing battle with the masked figure. Things weren’t going exactly as he had hoped. Seven years without a single bit of evil and as soon as evil pops its head out of the shadows they were all find the situation much more difficult than it should have been; none were prepared, not even Ryan.
In a stroke of luck the battled turned in favour of the warriors, though by means of Markis. In a flash of white light everything stopped, even more suddenly than it had began. Ryan found himself rubbing his eyes and blinking frantically in an attempt to restore his vision; there was nothing more dangerous than being blind in a battle. However, as his vision returned he quickly noted that not only had the masked man completely vanished but the man who had seemed familiar to him had also taken off, the young warriors who held the scroll also left after a quick ‘thank you’ to those who remained.
With a sigh Ryan began to prepare himself to leave, quickly surveying the area to make sure than everything was safe and that there was absolutely no chance of another fire. It was then that one of the warriors who had taken part in the battle, and one of the last remaining, stepped forward and spoke to Ryan. He explained that he had some knowledge of Ryan, which was somewhat expected and understandable, but then he spoke of a voice and promises, Ryan was honestly confused. “A voice? Promises?” But it was too late, Ryan had taken his time with his reply and he doubted that the mysterious man in the iron suit had even heard his reply as he took off into the air.
Ryan looked down and thought about everything the man had said. It didn’t make sense. “Metapha…” the man had mentioned Metapha, perhaps the answers Ryan’s mind now needed could be found there. It was settled, Ryan would travelled to Metapha, but first he would need to quickly visit an old friend once again and inform him of the change in situation on Dragonia.
