Well, I've decided to start making a small weekly-posted thread of all the things I found to be awesome or otherwise made of win.
First off, the movie Ghost Town starring Ricky Gervais is a fun, down-to-earth comedy about a man who goes in for a colonoscopy (sp?), and finds out later that he died on the table for roughly seven minutes! He awakes to find he can now see the ghosts of those who still have unfinished business, and hilarity ensues.
I give it an 8/10 for witty humor, little foul language, and an otherwise enjoyable plot.
Next on the chopping block: Spore. There are no words to describe how purely awesome this game truly is. I only played for a brief 45 minutes, and I was left wanting more. You start off as a simple organizm in the ocean, and slowly eat and grow until you arrive on land and evolve as you please.
The versatility and variety of gameplay keeps people of all ages interested and ready to play for a solid hour without getting bored. For a game well-done, I give spore a 10/10.
Comments? Questions? Things you've found this week to be made of WIN? Add it here, and let's have fun with it!

Hmm...well personally I don't Ricky Gervais funny at all, in fact I find him kind of annoying. Also, hasn't this type of film been done several times before? If not there must be some very similar films. I wouldn't go and pay to see this film, but as I have an unlimited card (which means i can see it for free) i'll be open minded and give it a chance to prove me wrong - though I doubt it will!
Spore, now this is a game i've just purchased myself. Currently i'm up to the city stage. I thought the first few stages (micro-organism and creature) were amazing. Kept me captivated constantly. Though I thought that when it got to the tribal stage things began to go down hill a tad. Because of this i'd probably give the game a 8/10, the over-all general creativity of it saving it. Despite my negative opinions on certain aspects of the game i'd certainly recommend it to anyone. It's a lot of fun to say the least.
Now for something I think is made of win this week.
Firstly, Tropic Thunder. Without a doubt one of the funnier films of this year. The acting of Stiller, Downy Jr and Black were amazing, each characters persona enticingly funny and over the top - in true Ben Stiller type film. I was pretty much laughing from start to finish, and if I wasn't laughing i was smiling. A must see.
Secondly, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. WHAT A GAME. From the word go you're transported into the Star Was universe. I got the PS3 version, so i went for outstanding graphics rather than the extra game mode of the Wii. The storyline is so well written that you think you're actually witnessing a brand-new Star Wars film; and frankly, I wouldn't be at all upset if they DID turn it into a film, in fact, i'd LOVE to see it a film! The game is that good.

Haha, what did I do?
Oh! Another thing that's made of win is the film Pineapple Express! I haven't seen such a funny film in ages - this far more funnier than Tropic Thunder. This is a MUST see for anyone who hasn't yet seen it! I will be going to see it a few more times!

Can I get a hell yeah, people?

It's a new week, so it's time to point out new things made of win!
I'd like to start off with BBQ's. If there's anything more made of win on a sunny day that a BBQ and a few cold ciders, I am yet to discover it.

And I’d also like to add taking a leak after holding it in for an EXTREMELY long time. Ahhhh…how good it feels. Well people, it’s a new week, so time for some new things made of win!
Firstly, Lee Evens. That man is a comedy genius. I went to see him live on Sunday night, his new BIG tour, and within twenty minutes my jaw was hurting from too much laughter – and the pain only got worse, as the man only got even more funnier. At least 95% of his act was brand new, which was great, though I found myself missing his old stuff that he usually did at every gig. I’d very much so recommend seeing him live to everyone and anyone, and if you can’t for any reason, then you HAVE to see his live tours on DVD. Without a single doubt I’d give the gig a 10/10 – it/he couldn’t have been any better.
On Saturday I bought myself a copy of Fifa 09 on the PS3. Overall I’d say it’s a very good game. It delivers what it says it will, and it delivers it well. The graphics are stunning, especially on a HD television – which is what you expect from PS3. Though it is very similar to Fifa 08. What they’ve done is take fifa 08, which was a formula that clearly worked, and they’ve just improved upon it further. In theory that’d be a good thing, but I have to admit, all the aspects about this game that I don’t like are aspects that I didn’t like from 08. There are still lots of room for improvement – 8/10.
An old game that I’ve just recently got back into is ‘LMA Manager 07’ on the PS2 – another football game (soccer to you Americans!). Unlike Fifa, which mainly focuses on you playing as the players of your chosen football team in their matches, LMA doesn’t let you do this but instead lets you play as the manager of the team. You are able to sort out player contracts/wages, transfers, sponsors, building a stadium/training ground for your team, training schedules, injury treatments, etc. it’s great. You may think that not being able to play the actual football is boring, but it’s really not as your actions/decisions as a manager directly effect how well your team plays! I’d give it a 9/10 – just a shame they’ve not brought out another game over the last few years.
Lastly I’d like to mention another RPG that I’ve recently joined called ‘Eyes Open’. It’s an RPG based on Smallville – which is great if you love the show like I do. I found them via an advertisement on MR (Midnight Reaping). They don’t have a main site, so it’s run from the forum like LoD now is. They have dedicated writers, good ideas and it’s all generally set up very professionally – allowing you to shape an existing DC comic book character into the Smallville set-up or to create your own, original character to interact with the shows stars! One aspect of the site that I particularly like is that you have to specify what actor you want to play your character on the show, and then the admins set it up so that the forum banner constantly changes each time you click on a new page, showing the sites name and a different member of the site each time! 8/10 from me! And I’m currently looking to affiliate us with them.
All that is above is made of win.

This week, I've gotten back into CHROMEHOUNDS. Chromehounds is a video game for the Xbox 360, set in an alternate universe where mechanised HOUNDs (a kind of mech) battle for control of Neroimus, a fictional region somewhere near the Black Sea (according to the Japanese website). The game features a system for personalized customization of the player's mech and an online campaign mode where players wage war in a persistent world over Xbox Live. The game is similar to the MechWarrior and Armored Core series, the latter of which was also developed by From Software.
Possible classes for a HOUND to fall under include Soldier, the front-line warrior with assault rifles, grenade launchers, shotguns, and the like; Snipers, which can take out enemies in a single shot with either sniper rifles or sniper cannons; Defenders with their heavy armor, fair mobility, as well as Anti-HOUND rockets, missiles, rocket pods, and effective cannons; Heavy Gunners, with the heaviest armor of all, are capable of wielding heat-seekers, howitzers of various power, as well as huge double-barreled cannons; Scouts, as the fastest of all, move about as quickly as possible, deploying mines, bombs, or wielding machine guns, mortars, or parying blades specialized for taking out cockpits; Commanders can be the pivotal players with their Network Generators, able to spot enemies on their radar and call in artillery or snipers before the opponent even knows they were caught.
Rather than rigid classes, each Role Type is more of a guideline, as hybrids appear 99% of the time in the infintely entertaining Free Battle area.
Incalculable replay value, excellent graphics, and realistic gameplay, all for a simple $13, means this game is made of WIN.
9/10
In the cinema, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist is a story of Indie bassist Nick who is in the dumps after his six-month girlfriend Trish broke up with him. Nora, sick and tired of the monotony of her all-girls Christian school, is out to find a great time with her friends. What do they have in common?
They must find Fluffy!
Filled with situations most our age can relate too, the movie may start slow, but it is filled with good times and great music. Get balls-deep into this movie, I say.
8/10

Another thing to add to my week of win is the film Taken. Liam Neeson stars as a retired government agent who has a 93 hour window to find, and rescue his abducted daughter from Albanian crooks who kidnap young women to get them addicted to drugs so they can force them easily into a life of prostitution.
There was NOTHING I could find wrong with this film, nothing at all. You can relate to Neesons character, even if you don't have children. I found myself sitting there, dreading to think what it would feel like if I were in his position, and rooting for him everytime he killed a bad-guy and/or got one step closer to finder her!
A MUST see. 10/10.

This week, i've got a few things to put up that are made of win.
Fallout 3 on the PS3. What a game! If you like how Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV is set out, then you’ll love this game. Made by the same company, it’s pretty much the same, without the magic, and more of a first person shooter – with the freedom of an RPG style game. Set in a post-apocalyptic Washington DC, it reminds me a lot like the film I Am Legend, only it’s set roughly 200 years into the future.
I’d recommend this for everyone. 9/10.
As many of you may know, I past my driving test the day before my granddad passed away. Two days ago I got insured in my car, and yesterday I drove my car for the first time! Driving without anyone to instruct you is VERY MUCH SO made of win! Though my cousin and brother, both who haven’t passed their tests yet, thought they could sit there and instruct me on how to park -_- which wasn’t made of win.
