(Cham-kun, I already healed his spine and stuff... remember? In my last post? I know I talk a little chaotically in my posts... an Im sorry! But I did start healing him already, with Atsuko and new ability n' such :3)
Atsuko gasped and shivered hard as she felt the cool glass press to her arm. She was overheating and covered in soot from her actions so far in the ruins of the town, so the coldness was welcome, but it was not the coldness that made her feel better... it was something else... like she was being revitalized by the presence of the glass against her skin. Her energies were returning! She did not need to understand. Kihaku was telling her to jump, and she was not about to ask how high. She already knew what she was to do.
"Thank you, Kihaku" she said, quite simply, and the two parents were fully healed, and quite quickly. Moving on to the next people, she went in order of priority... the people who were suffering most had to come first... the dead were not suffering. She had to make their agony fade, consume it and burn it away like the flames that were taking their homes and livlihoods.
She moved from person to person, some worse than others.... her hands would press to the largest parts she could manage to touch... and their skin would return, their bodies would re-stabalize, their pains would fade away into nothing... at least their physical ones, all the time, the talisman helping her along... it took longer than it would take her if she were on her own steam, but it got the job done very well indeed. Soon, all that were alive were in perfect physical condition... every last living elicoorian was a bewildered, but perfectly healthy example of their species. Again, at least physically. There were tears at their lost love ones... there was joy at their renewed lives... but there was Atsuko, moving between them and seeking their dead.
"Kihaku..." Atsuko murmured to the man beside her through all of this... "I can bring the others back... I just... I just need a little more help... I need you to just... stay like that... and concentrate for me, please..." she said, shakily. Her nose was still bleeding... and she was barely standing. The amulet was the only thing at this point allowing her to do any of this... and now she had to bring back the dead too.
"I could... I could use all the help I could get..." she said, and sighed, looking at the charred corpses she'd set aside far from the living. One Elicoorian overheard her. He was a young boy, whom Atsuko recognized through her sight to be named Vaneri. He was a somber child, the apprentice of a carpenter, but he was a brave boy.
"I can help" Vaneri said. He had not been wounded in the fires or the chaos... he was a very intelligent child indeed. Atsuko looked to him, and nodded. "Thank you, Vaneri..." she replied to his offer, and knealt before the corpses she had pulled out of the fire.
