As Zolomon simply batted the attack out of his way, the Rizuk copy was starting to feel a little trepidation. Perhaps the doppelgangers might be the best team-up, but the original copies had already discovered the fatal flaw in Dramanius' plan: switching opponents completely threw off the entire strategy. The clones had been designed to be the perfect opposites, the perfect counters to the strengths and weaknesses of the originals, but switching opponents opened a whole new set of weaknesses in the doppelgangers that the originals didn't have.
Zolomon's clone couldn't use any of the original's Black Matter attacks, nor did he carry any weapons, being supremely qicker than the original, but not any stronger. Rizuk's breath of flames englufed the vampire's doppelganger, a scream of pain ripping from his throat, while a pair of legs suddenly came up to deliver a vicious doulbe-heel kick to the Dragon's chest.
Rizuk's clone may use ice instead of fire, but he certainly wasn't any faster or stronger than his Positive form, and nowhere near fast enough to keep up with Zolomon's onslaught of vicious attacks for very long. As the punch came in, the copy's entire body was suddenly encrusted in ice, a light azure casing over the whole frame of the pseudo-dragon. The punch was squarely connected, then shattered right through the middle of the crystaline structure.
The doppelganger reformed just behind the ice-copy, which didn't help it at all when the elbow suddenly struck him in the chin, putting him airborne above the frozen sea. When he opened his eyes again, the last thing he saw before darkness closed in on him was the face of a very pissed off vampire.
In a final effort to do some damage, dozens of sharp ice spikes formed on his body. They wouldn't save him from death, but they at least would puncture the wings upon impact, no matter how tough those scales were. "Dammit, I knew this would happen."
