The Final Invasion; Deception Point

((Slight control of Falkan's character here, he gave me permission for this post.))

Pravent hovered above the battlefield, buidling energy again. Having completely obliterated the Saiyans after him, he was prepping another massive attack when somethinng below caught his eye. The V'alcan had done somtheing heroic...but also incredibly stupid. His suicidal attack had allowed Kiruna's attack to succeed and destroy a huge amount of Saiyans...but he had now become surrounded by Saiyans. Normally Pravent would laugh and mock at the foolishness of Falkan's attack, but this time something was different. The android receeded for a moment, and the Victryean took over. Falkan Reval was risking his own life for the people of Dragonia...in that moment, Pravent decided to do the same for him.

Suddenly, the android/victryean exploded into ther highest power level possible - due to his double nature, that was just short of infinite. His power continued to increase even as he dove through the air to Falkan's position. By the time he landed next to the V'alcan warrior, he was glowing bright red , and his armor and android componenets were on the verge of melting down. The Saiyans had stepped up their transformations a whole new level, and whether Falkan knew it or not, he about to get owned. The smaller fighter looked at first surprised, then irritated when Pravent landed and grinned at him.

"Don't tell me you don't need help, don't ask what I'm doing, just take this and get out of here, now!"

He drew out his drail swords and held it out for Falkan, who reluctantly took the weapon and sheathed it on his back.

"But what are you - ?"

"I told you not to ask, heroic fool! Now GET OUT!!!"

Pravent grabbed Falkan by the cloak and literally flung him with all of his strength. By the time the self-sacrificing V'alcan could react, Pravent would have accomplished his goal. He screamed and pushed his power level even higher...the near indestructible drail armor that had been a part of him for twenty years was gone - completely disintegrated by the sheer force of his power. His components were beginning to short out.

Hold together just a little longer...

Finally he was ready. In a huge burst of energy, the bioggest shield Pravent had ever formed exploded into existence, surrounding himself and a hundred Saiyans in a sphere of energy. The suprised Saiyans immediately turned on the shield, applying their full fury on trying to break out...but to no avail. Pravent's near-limitless energy was too much for even the strongest of them to overcome. His energy still on the rise, Pravent transformed his hands into cannons for the last time, then shouted his last words...

"I WILL NOT DIE A MONSTER!!!"

"STAR BLAST!!!!!!!!"

Inside the impenetrable shield, where he knew the planet and it's people were safe from the effects, Pravent let fly the most powerful form of his most powerful attack. had the shield not been there, Dragonia and it's entire star system would have been destroyed. Only the shield prevented such an outcome. The Saiyans inside the shiled would be completely, totally annihilated, down to the last molecule...but so would Pravent...such was the price of a garunteed killing blow.

In the fraction of a second before the explosion of his own attack ripped him apart, Pravent felt the relief of freedom from his android half - and the redemption he had been seeking. It was only for a millisecond...but for an android, a millisecond is an eternity.

((Short post today, just responding to posts, with slight Auto of Damian. Sorry man, but you're on holiday ))

The Saiyans surrounding Damian were indeed surprised by his exploits; but not for long. The first attack caught the Saiyan straight in the chest, forcing him down to his knees. But soon the Saiyans caught sight of the blur that was Damian, and immediatly their tactical minds thought of a solution.

Before Damian could even launch another attack, the Saiyans clamped their arms on each others shoulders, creating a circular barrier around the warrior. As soon as Damian tried to pass through, which the Saiyans had waited until he did to create the barrier, he collided headfirst with it, his momentum forcing him to the ground, very possibly unconscious.

That dealt with, the Saiyans turned, but like everyone else stopped dead in their tracks, when the saw the android Pravent. With his final defiant cry, his shield filled with white energy, with a glow that held all in a trance. The Dragonians watched in awe of his great sacrifice; the Saiyan's watched to make sure the Android didn't walk out of it.

Close up to the shield, two Saiyan's stood. They looked at each other for a moment as the glow filled the shield.
"That was close mate," said one, "We were almost in that."
"I know mate," came the reply. They looked into the explosion, one seeing a face pressed up against the energy of the shield before it was washed away with all the others.
"Hey, wasn't that Peterson?"
"Bastard! He owes me money!"

After a few moments, the energy was gone, along with the warrior Pravent. All stood in silence for a moment, before they remembered their place; the slaughter.

It was obvious to all that were watching; the Dragonians were doomed. The force of the Super Saiyan 2 fighters was just too great, even for those select fighters with the Dragon Scar potential. After hours of gruelling battle, with each other and the enemy, the forces of Bedoe and Lavertia were whittled down to little more than 2-dozen, with Isaac and Andrak at their point. The final stand of Dragonia was drawing to a close.

In a burst of adrenaline, caused by pure fear, Kilix was on his feet, and darting across the battlefield. ”Get out of here!” he cried with all the power in his body, ”Get away!” But it wasn’t long before he realised there was nothing more he could do, darting away to the Lavertian coast as soon as he could, grabbing Dalian by the collar as he flew.

The other Freedom Fighters noticed it too; those who were living, that is. Although neither Kilix nor Dalian could see what specifically happened to their allies, it seemed they had got to safety. The Dragonian forces, who had, of course, been facing it, noticed it instantly, and turned to flee. The Saiyans laughed, watching the Dragonians run; some followed in pursuit, whilst others simply roared with glee.

“They’re givin’ up!” bellowed one portly Saiyan, “The fucking cowards have seen sense!” Many others joined him in his premature celebration, but only Demos had seen what the others had seen. Far off in the distant mountains, the eyes of Rizuk the Dragon welled with pride.

Nuclear Carnage had broken free.

You see, this fate was destined by the very nature of the technique. Nuclear Fusion is the process of turning the base elements; Hydrogen and Helium, into much heavier elements, such as Oxygen and Iron. However, not only does this make the attack heavier, but it is continuously creating unthinkable amounts of energy. More than enough, when contained in the Saiyan’s Shield, to crack it open like a chick from it’s egg.

The ensuing blast was devastating; the Nuclear energy tearing through the very earth like ripping grass from a field, and breaking it down to its base format; nothing could survive the vastness of this attack. Those Saiyans foolish enough to stand and mock the Dragonians were obliterated within moments, the ones who pursued feeling the heat to their backs, dreading their inevitable demise. The flares and radiation from the Nuclear energy tore the army to shreds.

The bulk of the Dragonian army, or at least, what was left off it, escaped the blast, due to their early warning of the blast. Kilix and Dalian managed to outrun the blast long enough for it to dissipate into the air. But what of the Saiyans? And what of the Infamous General Demos?

When the smoke cleared, and the vast crater was shown, defiling the land of Parmecia like an unsightly spot, no more than twenty figures stood on its perimeter. They looked around each other in disbelief for a few moments, about to take on that remaining forces, even though their numbers were drastically reduced. But soon the message buzzed around their ears, like a virtual game of chinese whispers.
Admiral William Turgor was dead.

In a blink panic, caused by the realisation that they were broken in numbers, command, and every respect they fled. For the Zolan Lands.

Dragonia was free.

Having been flung from the battlefield with all the strength of a supercharged android, Falkan was still in the air when Pravent's heroic sacrifice was made. Moments later, when Rizuk's final attack broke free and tore through the remaining Saiyans, Vi'drek was swooping in to catch his master. And while the Saiyans retreated, the gigantic bird slowly descended and gently set his cargo on the edge of the crater that now dominated the landscape.

Glad at the victory of Dragonia, yet exhausted and worn from the battle and loss, Reval stood silently for a moment with the small group of survivors on the crater's rim. He sensed Rizuk was still alive and healing. That was some small relief. Slowly, almost reverently, the Warrior of Reval knelt in a charred patch of grass and cleaned the Dragonblade, then Rhiannon, and sheathed them. The Dragonblade would be returned to its rightful owner soon enough. But now he had a third sword to deal with - the Drail Sword that Pravent had thrust into his hands before saving his life...twice. This blade, too, Falkan cleaned - more carefully and thoroughly than the other two - and then thrust the tip into the ground. He looked out across the battlefield to the place where he had last seen Pravent, and gripped the handle of the sword with his right hand.

"Pravent, noble warriors, I will not let your deaths be in vain. I swear on this battlefield - your graveyard - that I will not rest until every last invader on this planet has been killed or driven back into the cursed void in space from whence they came. On my honor as the V'alcan Warrior..."

He stood, unsheathed the dragonblade, and stowed the Drail Sword in its place. Then he located the small warrior, Kilix, and smiled down at the brave Liixan.

"Well fought, friend. Perhaps I will have the honor of fighting alongside you again someday."

He handed the Dragonblade to Gyro.

"Please return this to Rizuk, along with my best regards."

Falkan Reval bowed, then in a leap and a rush of wings, the Lone Warrior was gone, off to hunt down any Saiyan stragglers he could find.

[hakuto]

Hakuto blurred in, wishing he had waited a few more moments. The android managed to appear on the edge of the explosion and he seemed fine, physically. But, the physical damage was not on the outside, it was on the inside. The radiation had warped a part of his circuitry in his microchip, otherwise known as his brain.

Hakuto stumbled for a moment, his black weighted clothing not even damaged. He clutched his head as he fired a random ki blast into the sky. He stumbled to his knees and started throwing a flurry of punches at the ground. The android had seemingly lost control of his body, but then it stopped and Hakuto looked upward. He saw Kilix was close by and swallowed all the pre-programmed pride he had.

Kilix...It seems that-

Hakuto suddenly convulsed, dropping to the ground without any motion. His words had fallen to deaf ears, Kilix having left already. But, with a somewhat subconscious thought, Hakuto suddenly blurred away.
