Lara-Leigh did not answer his question right away, merely floated in front of Loki, staring deep into his eyes. The atmosphere was eerie…floating in fog, the two unlikely characters seemed in their own world.
“Such a personal question, and so soon… and no, I didn’t expect you to follow, although it is no surprise to me you did.” she muttered, yet her mouth did not appear to move. She continued to stare…until another Lara-Leigh came from behind where Loki was standing. She said nothing, but instead moved in close to him. She smiled, before pulling back to stand with the other version.
“Still curious now?” Lara-Leigh said…but once again neither of them moved their lips to suggest either one was talking. As they continued to fly in the night’s sky, the two Lara-Leighs said nothing, but continued to stare at Loki. Little known to him, however, as he stood them, several others appeared from the darkness, surrounding him from all angles.
“Oh sweetheart, I suggest you turn around…”

Despite not having ventured onto the country of Metapha ever before Loki knew all too well of its atmosphere and environment as he had been quite the studier back in his youth, or to be more accurate Ryan had been while they were one, and as he looked on at the land around him he could only come to one conclusion and one conclusion only; this did not look like the Metapha he knew of.
These thoughts of his were pointless, he had more pressing matters to concern himself with currently than the games the shadows were playing on his mind, so pushing his thoughts to one side he glanced back off toward Lara-Leigh as she finally spoke once more. Of course she had cleverly avoided the question, but the manor in which she had done caused Loki to laugh slightly. “Now look who’s full of themselves.” he commented though his laughter. It hadn’t been until a few seconds later that Loki had realised the strange truth about this situation, stranger than it had been so far to say the least, Lara-Leigh’s lips had indeed not moved when she last spoke.
Soon enough all became apparently as a second figure, a clone of herself perhaps, appeared as if out of thin air. Shadow games… but it now made slightly more sense to why her lips hadn’t moved when she had spoken, it had been the other Lara-Leigh that had spoken instead. Slowly turning his head Loki looked back and forth between the two, before they slowly moved in together; she spoke again. “Oh extremely,” Loki quickly replied, a smirk upon his face.
Once again he had noticed that neither of their lips had moved when Lara’s voice had rung out through the air, did this mean there was another one of her somewhere around here? The real her perhaps, but then again how could he possibly tell which one the real her in fact was? It seemed an impossible feet, but he didn’t believe in impossibilities; nothing was impossible, he was living proof of that. He continued to look forward toward the two while also attempting to be more aware of his surroundings in the process; it paid off.
Through the corner of his eye, on his right side, he saw movement, although it was slight. He slowly turned his head to the side only to witness the appearance of several other Lara-Leighs; it was the same upon his left side too. He gave a short laugh as he looked back toward the two that stood in front of him, one of them who he believed to be the original Lara-Leigh. “Great, an orgy!” he exclaimed quite loudly. “But Lara, I can call you Lara can’t I?” he asked, but quickly spoke once more without giving her a chance to reply.
“I hope you realise your going to need a lot more of you if your going to have any chance of handling me, we’ve been through this already” he finished, smirking. The wind was blowing quite viciously at this high point within the sky, causing his long back coat to flap behind him violently. He turned his head to his right and left, only slightly however, as he looked between the Lara’s on either side of him, giving the occasional wink or kiss to one of them.

Each Lara-Leigh smiled at Loki, but while he was busy flirting in his bizarre and twisted way, the real Lara Leigh came out of the shadows and joined with the rest, hidden from view as the crowd still continued to grow.
“I hope you’re ready to lose, although do let me know how it feels as it isn’t a feeling I’m familiar with. I’m going to give you a challenge. Kill me.” And on that note, all the Lara-Leighs (about 30 strong by now), dispersed simultaneously and flew off so as they were spread in some cases more than 200 yards away. Once they reached their designated spaces they merely stopped, and turned back to face Loki.
“Go on, find me. I give you one chance before I leave, and your curiosity may never be fulfilled.”

As the crowd continued to grow Loki continued to become more cautious to his surroundings, after all he was now quite literally surrounded by a woman who he knew nothing about except for her name and the fact that she gave off a somewhat evil presence; not a good situation to be in, unless, of course, your Loki.
None a single Lara-Leigh seemed to want to show even a hint of emotion, not even in response to his flirting. Tough crowd, he thought, but this wasn’t the only thing he thought. He knew only too well that in a situation like this one he was not going to be getting an orgy from all of these Lara-Leigh’s, although he was finding her more and more attractive by the second, and was more than likely about to receive something quite painful instead of pleasurable; then she spoke.
Like expected Loki was right, well at least in a sense, but he was slightly shocked by her challenge. Had she not been paying attention to who he was? Could she not feel the power radiating off from him? It amused him nevertheless; a small laugh caught escaping his lips. “A brave challenge to give to a lord of hell…especially this one,” he quietly said, still looking around the every growing group. However not even a second after he had spoken every single one of her suddenly vanished, concurrently in fact, before their presences reappeared some distance away; she then spoke again.
One chance ay? it wasn’t going to be easy, but it was worth an attempt. This woman was toying with him, forcing him into playing games when normally he would have obliterated whoever had placed him within this situation; he liked it, it was daring. However without warning he quickly vanished, appearing directly in front one of the many different Lara-Leigh’s within less than a second. He doubted very much if she would have been able to work out just what had happened so quickly, or even if this was the real Lara-Leigh, but nevertheless he quickly grabbed her at the top of her arms and pulled her towards him, kissing her before releasing her and flicking from view, reappearing back in the same spot as he had been floating in before.
It was obvious to say the he knew that he had probably just pushed his luck, oblivious to whether or not he had picked the right one or not, but hopefully this would cokes her into going on the offensive for once; he had done too much chasing already for his tastes. Nevertheless he was somewhat uncertain how she would react because after all he was perfection in the shape of a mortal, perhaps she enjoyed it, so Loki wanted to make sure he was prepared for whatever she could throw at him, and currently that stood at thirty to forty versions of herself.
Just then everything fell silent, completely silent for that matter, as even the wind stopped blowing through the land. It sounded as if they were floating within a vacuum of sorts, and the fact that the flames that had been constantly licking over Loki’s body for the duration of him appearing upon this island suddenly faded away didn’t help this theory, but they could still breath. Just then an echoing BOOM filled the area, a crack of blinding lighting up the sky not even a second after; rain soon began to pour.
Loki slowly tilted his head back, closing his eyes as he allowed the rain to fall upon his face. If nothing else it relaxed him, cooled him down somewhat; he loved nothing more than the rain. Slowly but surely he elevated his arms, his long coat slipping off and falling slowly down toward the ground below, the rain now beginning to fall upon his bare upper body; it had been too long since he had felt this feeling, too long since he had had the chance too.
Lifting his left arm over his head he grabbed a hold of the hilt of his sword, Bane. She had challenged him to kill her yet he didn’t wish too; perhaps using the sword was the wrong way to go about this? Either way he slowly unsheathed the broadsword from upon his back and held it out pointed directly out in front of him, moving his head back down to look upon the many Lara-Leighs once more. A small smirk crawled across his face once more, replacing the smile that had been there a second earlier. “Its game time…”

He kissed me – or tried to at least....
She was now stood in the middle of the crowd, surrounded by versions of herself. She was relatively safe, she had a one in 30 chance of surviving. Perhaps she had gone too far when challenging him in such a way… she knew how powerful he was, but she couldn’t resist. Finally, someone who was strong and powerful, too powerful perhaps; she couldn’t know until she saw his true powers. And what if she did survive? Would she be able to just leave Loki after such a tumultuous and thrilling encounter, one she had never felt before infact….
He kissed me… I don’t believe it. Oh come on, don’t be stupid, that should be the last thing you’re thinking about. You could be dead in the next minute, get your priorities straight…
The rain was heavy now, cold and constant, relentless. She felt a chill run through her body – but inside she felt like she was on fire. She was in too deep and didn’t know how to get herself out. She dies or she leaves? What kind of options are those, how stupid could she be sometimes…
He kissed me... i think I'm obsessed! I can't think of anything else... She looked down at the floor. Come on, you must concentrate, this is important...
But she forgot she was being watched. She quickly looked up and realised her mind had been so consumed with Loki that she had completely forgotten about the other Laras around her. She was completely alone, facing a Lord of Hell with a sword....
She pulled out her Avitus; the 45-calibre pistol she had strapped around her leg.
"OK....new rules"

For a long while Lara-Leigh didn’t do anything, in fact she hadn’t even reacted from the kiss that he had forced upon her; this made him wonder. Had I even kissed the right one? Well she hasn’t left like she threatened to so perhaps I did…but she hasn’t even reacted! Hah, maybe she did enjoy it after all…gah this is confusing. Too many thoughts were running through his mind at one moment, too many thoughts for a man about to go into battle; he has already learnt that lesson in the past.
Somewhat focusing his thoughts to the back of his head something suddenly struck Loki. …Are there less of them? he couldn’t make out whether or not there were indeed less versions of Lara within the air surrounding him now or if it was merely the darkness playing tricks on his eyes, although he much preferred the first out of the two, as it helped keep his perception of his perfection. Nevertheless he was right. Slowly but surely, and one by one, a Lara would vanish from sight, and then another, and another, and another.
He smirked as finally two became one and she was once again all alone. “Your friends gone home I see?” he said, raising his voice somewhat to gain her attention. It seemed that she had also lost herself in thought, much like he had also done just moments ago. She snapped back into reality, realising he spoke the truth and she was once again alone. He knew she could quite easily manipulate another set of Laras but now he knew which one she was, and her element of surprise and confusion would somewhat be destroyed.
Now realising the seriousness of her situation she bent over and pulled something free from her leg. Great…a gun… he knew he was deadly with a sword but a gun was another matter. Guns were less elegant than swords, easier to use, and to an extent more deadly. His fingers gripped at the hilt of his sword as his eyes suddenly seemed to pulsate not before quickly returning back to normal. “Oh I see,” he shouted. “Finally realised you can’t survive a challenge like that did you?” he said through slight laughter.
He didn’t want to kill this woman, she amused him too much for that and he didn’t believe in wasting a rare and extremely good thing. Time for some fun… he smirked. “It’s a shame really…I was really looking forward to that orgy, perhaps some other time?” he commented quickly with a laugh. “Well don’t worry, I have no intention on killing you…well, not completely anyway…” and with a quick wink he vanished. A second later he reappeared a few feet in front of his last position now shooting through the sky like a bullet toward her, his blade drawn back behind him in a striking position.

An orgy…who does he think he is? I can’t believe this has happened… he knows too much; he knows about me, and that can never happen.
“You don’t have the intention to kill me because you know you can’t. I’m the one with the gun, remember?”
She honestly didn’t want to kill him – hurting wouldn’t be a problem – but to kill him would be to ruin the fun. She had no other option… the way he just darted across the sky showed that he was serious, especially since he stood in a position to attack.
Lara started shooting, aiming for the chest – but Loki was still some distance from where she was stood, so was not exactly accurate. She fired several times, hoping that at least one would hit him.
“It’s such a shame it had to end like this…”
She stopped shooting.

Just as he darted through the air he heard her speaking. “Then why am I the only one on the attack?” he shouted out, but the speed of light was far faster than the speed of sound and he feared he was moving so fast that he would have reached her long before his voice had done and perhaps then it would be too late; only the next few seconds would tell.
He closed the distance between them incredibly fast, but he expected nothing less from himself. BANG, BANG. Lara-Leigh had indeed begun firing at him. It seemed the rules had indeed not changed, or perhaps she saw it as self-defence, either way he and the bullets, which she were still firing, were now closing in faster than he and Lara were; he would have to deal with these before he did with her.
As they closed in, all in a relatively straight line and aimed somewhat toward his chest, Loki watched them carefully, and he’d only have once chance at this; there was little room for mistake on his part. At the last possible moment before they made impact upon him Loki brought his sword upward from behind him causing the bullets to recoil off of the swords metal blade, all but one that was; stray bullet, which had not been relatively on the same path as the others, struck and sunk into his shoulder, his left shoulder.
Instantly pain surged through the area on his body surrounding the wound, that much he expected, but what surprised him was the sudden numbness that instantly followed; his entire left arm fell numb. Unable to move his left arm at all, unable to feel it in fact, Bane fell out from within his grasp and fell toward the ground below, disappearing beneath the fog and darkness. “Shit…” he muttered. As this happened Loki had come to a halt within the air and looked down, merely hearing the sword slice into the ground below, unaware that he had in fact stopped directly in front of Lara.

Lara did nothing. What could she do? She could see the pain in his eyes, the pain he’d seen in others before no doubt. He’d dropped his sword so she was in no immediate danger from him, especially now due to the bullet lodged in his shoulder. A strange feeling of calm enveloped her. A feeling almost that justice had been done, like maybe she’d just done something for the greater good. Time seemed to stop.
He looked so weak, so vulnerable… she’d never have thought she’d feel sorry for him, but to see someone in that much pain, something that she’d given him. How could she care when she knew nothing about him, other than he was evil? The fact that he was evil should be a reason why she should just leave him, while she had the chance. While she could, and without him trying to stop her again.
By this time the rain had started to stop – but not before it had saturated her clothing and left her hair almost in dreads. It clinged to her, covering the majority of her face. All she could do was think, for she seemed to have lost the ability to speak around the time she pulled out her gun. She hadn’t used it in such a long, she hated to use it – she prided herself that she never got to know anyone to the point she’d want to hurt them, as they could have the same thoughts about her. No, she only used her pistol when she had no choice, and she certainly never hung around to see the aftermath when she did…
She had to leave, she knew she had to. This man was a Lord of Hell; even the thought of helping him was ridiculous. It’s not like he’d ever return the favour one day, evil doesn’t do kindness. This was meant to be a game – she might have won, but the prize was no way near as fulfilling as she would have expected. She knew she did the right thing, although a couple of extra bullets going in would’ve made things so much easier, leaving a corpse is better than leaving a man in pain.
She reached out her hand.
What am I doing? Turn around, just leave…
But she couldn’t. Her hand reached his shoulder, and pushed gently against the wound she had inflicted on him. She concentrated, concentrated on the wound, on the tissue surrounding it, the damage she had caused….
Slowly, she took her hand away.

Arrghhh my shoulder…my arm…I can’t-can’t feel it. Loki continued to look down at the darkness below his feet to where he knew his sword to have impaled the earth, to where he knew Bane to be, but he couldn’t remove the feeling of pain that he could feel within his left shoulder, despite the fact it had also caused his entire arm to fall numb; although he wouldn’t show the pain, his face almost completely expressionless.
Slowly Loki closed his eyes, briefly forgetting about the challenge that Lara-Leigh had placed upon him, and felt out with his senses into his own body; he needed to know why he couldn’t feel his arm. I can sense her within me… and he could, it wasn’t far from the truth. Instantly he came across a foreign substance within his system, or mainly around the impact wound of the bullet, and it was then that it all made sense to him; these bullets were no normal bullets made from metal, they couldn’t be.
He wanted to make sure and there seemed to be but one way he could think of to find out if the bullet was still lodged within his wound or in fact made from her Ki and having dispersed outward into his shoulder and arm, he’d find the bullet with his fingers. He knew it was going to hurt, maybe more than he was willing to show, but it was the only way to satisfy his curiosity; perhaps Lara was right, curiosity may kill the cat after all.
With his eyes closed he slowly moved his hand off toward the wound on his shoulder, preparing himself for the rushing of pain that was about to consume him, when he slightly felt something against his numb skin before his hand finally touched against it; it was Lara’s own hand. Opening his eyes quickly he looked up and off toward her, she was quite clearly concentrating as she pushed her palm against the wound, a slight amount of pain registering through the numbness.
He continued to watch her, a slight amount of wonder present within his eyes. Why was she helping him? After all it had been her who had set him the challenge of killing her, not that he ever had any true intention of fulfilling that challenge; he hoped he never had anyone claiming that Loki wasn’t merciful, if he did he’d decapitate them that’s for sure. Either way she was helping him, there was no mistaking that, as despite not being able to feel the touch of her soft skin against his bare shoulder he could quite literally feel his advanced Dragonian and Saiyan healing rapidly speeding up; it was quite the sensational feeling, to say the least.
He was at a loss for words in truth, her actions somewhat shocking him, so much so that he had almost completely forgotten that he had placed his hand upon hers. “Does this mean your retracting the challenge…Lara-Leigh?” Loki muttered softly, looking into her face.

“Not all is fair in love and war”
Lara-Leigh removed her hand from Loki’s chest and began to descend and return to the ground.
Her feet reached the floor. Looking up into the sky, she said to silhouette above her, “Yes I’m retracting my challenge, Loki, but now I’m going to offer you a new one. Lavertia. If you’re interested you will follow me there, if not I hope never to see you again, and you will be thinking the same too. Goodbye, Loki.”
Running across the grass, she headed straight for the shadows.
And then she was gone.

Quickly Lara-Leigh removed her hand from his chest and made her way down toward the floor below, almost completely vanishing beneath the darkness. Looking down toward her he could faintly see the silhouette of her figure within the shadows. He could see slightly more of her than the average person would have been able to, his advanced eyesight allowed such a thing, but he knew she wouldn’t have been able to see no more than a faint silhouette when looking up at him, perhaps maybe his eyes glowing through the darkness that she seemed to be producing.
She quickly spoke and without leaving him anytime to reply she turned and darted off toward a large amount of darkness before disappearing; all he had time to do was lift his hand as if to let her know he was about to say something, but she had not seen it. He sighed. “But I can’t…” he slowly replied to her, knowing well enough she couldn’t hear him now she was gone. He looked off in that general direction. He couldn’t see anything due to the shadow and darkness but he knew it was in that direction, he could sense the ever-growing size of the armies that now stood there. A battle would be soon to begin.
“Lavertia…Bedoe…” he muttered softly. “I can’t go back…I’d only end up killing the people I’d be going there to help…” he continued, his fists now shaking in anger of the memories that were now flooding his head. He had always wished for vengeance, revenge for what they did to his people, but in this time of need the people of this planet needed strong warriors who would help them fight back the Saiyans who were intending to take control of the planet and he knew if he went he’d only end up destroying every last Lavertian and Bedoen, and that just wouldn’t be helping.
Lara-Leigh’s last few words were still moving through his head. If he didn’t go to Lavertia he’d apparently never wish to see her again, like she’d be thinking. It wasn’t as simple as that but she wouldn’t know, she couldn’t understand, no one could. He had lost everything he had ever cared about back on that day, his people, his friends, his loved ones, his father, everyone, and all because of the armies of Lavertia and Bedoe had decided that the Samurai had become too powerful and were a threat; they slaughtered the people who had sworn to protect them more than a hundred thousands years in the past.
Even the thought of everything made him angrier beyond belief, he just wanted to go to Lavertia and rip all of their hearts out through their throats. “Damn you traitorous scum!” Loki suddenly bellowed. Deep down he knew this wasn’t the time to get revenge but if he went he knew his emotions would take him over and he’d enter a blind rage. Loki knew than in this situation Dragonia needed a warrior such as Ryan to help bring them through this darkness, not the likes of himself…but the Saiyan’s had already put a stop to that when they killed Ryan.
The armies of Bedoe and Lavertia had destroyed his life in the past but the Saiyan’s had destroyed his other half, and most likely Dragonia’s future. What he would do he was still unsure of but time was a luxury he, and the rest of the planet, did not have.
