((OOC: Continued from the 'Hoping for Help' thread in Larleta.))
IC: Falkan frowned and continued staring at the moon above them for several minutes. Science was in it's early stages in the Realm, such things as moonrays and such were new ideas to him. Still, he knew just a little bit from Apps' crash course on Dragonia.
"Vi'drek is the best of his kind, Dragon, but he still has to breathe. No, I don't think blocking the rays is the answer...but it leads to what may be."
He hesitated, unwilling for a moment to reveal his own powers. The combination of his realm-bending with the Dragonian's 'ki' had proved more powerful than he could have imagined at first, and if he could learn to use ki, then it was possible that Dragonians could learn realm-bending. Falkan Reval didn't fear a level playing field, but neither did he find a point in allowing one when he didn't have to.
His concern was finally outweighed by the need to keep Dragonia free and intact - at least until he was in control of the spheres.
"We may not be able to block the moon itself, but I believe it's possible to stop its rays...at least for a time."
Rizuk seemed interested enough...at least he didn't interrupt, so Falkan continued.
"In my homeworld, some of posses a - unique gift - we call it realm-bending. This power allows us to manipulate our environment on different levels. Most are able only to make minor changes. A very, very few could destroy our entire world if they wished. The others of us, only a handful, fall somewhere in the middle. Alone I can sustain a large scale change for just a short while, but AI have this..."
He drew Rhiannon and held it out for his ally to see. The sword, somehow recognizing Falkan's intentions, flashed a deep red, then resumed it's normal silver hue.
"Somehow, this sword is able to amplify my abilites, both in intensity and duration. With Rhiannon, and in my most powerful state, I believe I could filter or block the moon's rays for a time...perhaps long enough for it pass from full to the next phase...but preferrably long enough for you and like-minded warriors to think the ranks of the Saiyans. Unfortunately, I can't block the rays and fight at the same time. If my concentration were broken, all would be lost."
By now Reval had sheathed Rhiannon and stood at the edge of a sharp precipice. His heavy cloak hung around him, unaffected by the howling winds, and literally keeping him from blowing off the mountain. His somber mood came from the thought of missing a battle and realm-bending instead. He had left out of his description of the plan the fact that bending on such a large scale, for such a long time, could permantently damage or kill him. Something had changed inside of Falkan. Until now, his motivation had been to ensure the safety of the Dragon Spheres, but he had suddenly realized that this world was in as much peril as his own. The Dragonians, good and bad, young and old, innocent and guilty alike, were every one in danger of losing life and liberty to the invading Saiyans. It was injustice at it's worst, and if it cost him everything, he was determined to see justice done. He turned to face Rizuk again, his countenance set with grim resolve.
"If you will help me, I can stop this. I'll need some time to raise my power and reach my highest state...if I can. The rules are different in your world than mine. In my realm, we V'alcans cannot reach a higher state without intense emotional turmoil. Here I have seen warriors transform at will. I suspect I could do the same...but I can't be interrupted."

Rizuk held out a hand and looked over to Falkan "Wait... we need to plot this out first, Falkan. We have our plan, and you can implement it easily. I have enough faith in you to be able to know your strength. So we shall first of all see if we can't deal with the Saiyans, and also some training. I know a little bit about emotional strength and how it works so we can train for it first. There's a plateu down there where I used to train with my friends Hedex and Jaigo. Want to come?" Rizuk smiled as friendly as he could, he liked Falkan but he knew that this would require some practice first. He bent his knees and shot through the air to crash into the plateu with a snappy bending of his knees "You coming? Oh, and don't worry, if we get hungry I have a credit card here. I took out the policy when they first invented it and my compound interest means I can now buy just about anything" Rizuk may be a force of nature but he wasn't dumb. He focused his power and cast his mind back
Zaoden was a teacher, and he was probably some relation to him, probably inherited it from him. He just needed to make Falkan pissed, sad or happy. Piece of cake.

Falkan frowned and jumped down to Rizuk's level. He wasn't sure what the dragon had in mind, and he was even less sure that he was going to like it. Still, desperate times called for desperate measures. If it meant preserving the spheres and Dragonia, the Warrior of Reval would even resort to trusting someone besides himself.
"Emotional training, eh? Interesting. Let's see what you've got."

Rizuk rolled his shoulders and grinned at him, he rubbed his hands and smiled broadly. "Riiiight, OK, we need to go for one three emotions, Happy, Sad or Angry. We get that and we're set. Now, which are we going for first? I'll try Happy" Rizuk coughed and seemed to pause as he thought of something and tapped his chin
"Alright... So this guy goes into a bar..." Rizul began, his goal was happy and the best he could think that didn't involved illegal drugs was telling jokes so that was his first idea.
((OOC: OK Falkan's been gone for a while so I'll just assume we finished this as I shall now move to a new thread))

((Sorry about the disappearance there, man. Comp crashed but bad on me. I'll jump back into this alone, you can rejoin if you want.))
THREE HOURS LATER:
"...and the bank manager sayd, 'It's a knick-knack, Patty Jack, give the frog a loan!'"
Rizuk roared with laughter at his own humor. Falkan's left eyebrow twitched...it was the only reaction the dragon had seen since he started trying to make Reval happy, and it was starting to sink in that maybe happy was not the way to go.
"You know," Falkan began, "I appreciate the - um - help, but perhaps I ought to handle this on my own. Maybe if I just focus until the moon goes to full, I can pull it off."
He turned an headed back up to the highest part of the peak, leaving Rizuk to decide what to do.

So, Reval, here I find you, perched on a mountaintop trading jokes with a dragon. Shouldn't you be busy hunting down some spheres?
The annoyingly familiar voice of Apps, Falkan's self-appointed teacher in his homeworld, echoed trough his thoughts. Somehow, across space, time, and dimensions, Apps had found a way to irritate the Lone Warrior still.
Old Man, I've told you a thousand times...stay out of my mind!
No need to get testy. I'm simply checking up on your progress. You've been gone nearly three hours here, which I figure equates to well over two weeks on Dragonia. I hoped you'd be nearly ready to return with the dragon spheres by now...
Falkan sighed. Apps was clearly waiting for a response, and he didn't exactly have good news to report. At this point, he was the best hope for the Realm...assuming Apps was right about the Dragon Spheres. It wasn't his fault he still had no idea if the things even existed, how was he to know the entire planet would be invaded?
There's been a - delay.
A delay? Large enough to stop you, Reval? I doubt it.
Yeah, so do I. Don't worry, it'll be dealt with soon. I just have to learn some control is all.
Control? What do you mean?
I don't have time to explain, Valakoine. Just leave me alone for awhile, or there will be consequences when I return.
Silence followed. Falkan knew threatening the older and (in some ways) more powerful V'alcan was mostly idle, but he didn't have many other ways of getting a point across. Satisfied that he was again alone in his own mind, he turned to address Rizuk again...only to find that his would-be trainer was gone. Where the dragon had gone and why, Falkan had no idea, but he saw no reason to pursue him. There was too much to do already. Whether the moon really needed blocking or not, Reval knew he must learn to control his transformations. Though he would never admit it, his last battle with the Saiyans had been difficult, and without Rhiannon's help, he may not have survived. Such reliance on something beyond himself was unacceptable.
Now completely isolated and without distraction, the Warrior of Reval turned his entire focus to one thing - learning control...

"Prince Reval, Princess Aikli! Where have you been? No matter now...you must come immediately!"
"What is it, Lod'rek?"
"Your grandfather, master Reval. His condition has taken a bad turn..."
"Ah, Reval, Aikli. You've finally arrived. I'm sorry, children...you're too late."
"Lord Ki'clove...is he...?"
"I'm afraid so, princess. We searched everywhere for you..."
Sorrow...grief...
"Ki'clove...why are these men armed? Palace guards haven't carried weapons for years...what's going on here?!"
"Young Reval, I am sorry for the Emporer's death. It saddens us all. But we cannot leave the throne empty, even for a moment. And neither you nor your sister are ready to rule."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't worry, children, I'm only watching over things for a while..."
"Over my dead body, Ki'clove... you are an advisor, not an emporer."
Anger...rage...
"A valiant effort, Reval...but as I said, you're just not ready. Why must you always learn the hard way? Captain Ri'driel. It is...unfortunate...that the young prince wandered into the desert, is it not? So few have ever survived alone in the wastes...such tragedy."
"Yes, Lord Ki'clove, a tragedy indeed. Bring the boy."
Humiliation...loneliness...desperation...

It had been two days. The lone figure standing atop Bedoe's highest peak was frosted over and covered with snow, and not moving. Vi'drek circled faithfully above, refusing to leave his master even to eat. A few Saiyan Scouts had wandered within the radius of the Sarstou's wide protective circle...they hadn't survived long enough to find the warrior. Vi'drek knew his companion - it might be said that the bird was the only creature anywhere who truly knew Falkan Reval - and he knew that once the V'alcan Warrior set his mind to a goal, it would be accomplished. Now, after two days of standing motionless, eyes closed, impervious to wind, snow, and cold, Falkan smirked and opened his eyes. He had been repeatedly cycling through every emotion he knew, from hatred to hope, learning how they felt, memorizing their impact, and harnessing their energies. He knew now how to provoke himself before he ever took a hit. He knew how to use hope to fuel his power. Sorrow, even fear, were no longer weaknesses - only tools to use against his enemies.
Most V'alcans were emotional creatures, but they all lacked control over those emotions. Here now arose yet another difference in Falkan from his former countrymen. He had learned to control his emotions, and thus, his transformations...
He blinked. His brown eyes were now a bright blue. He closed his eyes again, this time for a little longer, and focused on the rage he had felt at the invading Saiyans and their merciless, needless slaughter of thousands of innocents...a slaughter that he knew was still going on. Slowly, the air around the V'alcan began to swirl, then faster until he was lost even to Vi'drek's sight in a rushing, whipping tornado of snow and ice. A faint blue glow appeared within the swirling storm, and grew brighter until two blue beacons, Falkan's eyes, pierced the storm. He made not a sound as a shadowy black aura surrounded him, and his hair grew longer and streaked with silver. Then, just as suddenly as it began, the wind and the roaring sound stopped.
Vi'drek slowed his circle and landed carefully near Falkan. The bird had only been alive as long as his master, and this was a new thing to him. In fact, it was almost as new to Falkan himself. He had changed like this only once before, after being abandoned and nearly murdered in the wilderness by his own guards. The guards and the wild animals that had attacked him never knew what hit them. He had discovered the Lone Warrior's Fury.
Vi'drek cocked his head and clicked. In a flash, Falkan reverted to normal and tilted his head upward.
"No, my friend. It's okay. That energy belongs to our small furry friend. I guess he got lonely and is looking for company now. There's probably not many places left thanks to the Saiyans. It's okay, let him come. I think I'm ready to get off this mountain and fight anyway.
((OOC: Falkan has unlocked his second transformation, the Lone Warrior's Fury. Also, if it gets approved, that is, he has learned a new ability that allows him to transform at will.))

The foamy spray from the waters edge licked up at the fur on Kilix’s cheeks as he shot across the water, a torpedo of fur and fury. Although he flew fast, he kept his energy level low, for you could never know where the Saiyans would appear next. He approached the shores of Bedoe quickly, the waves lapping up ferociously against the jagged cliffs. Kilix began to rise, soon flying parallel to the cliff surface, as he began to manoeuvre his way through the crags in search of his old comrade.
With snow being flung up in all directions, it was hard not to tell where Kilix was, although the blur of white gave him a sort of mirage effect as he sped through the mountains. Falkan’s energy was playing on Kilix’s nose, and all he could do was follow the scent.
But soon, he was abruptly brought to a halt. He set his feet down on a patch of snow, as a tornado of sleet and water began to swirl around the top of a mountain, with 2 pillars of blue light emerging from within it.
”Falkan…” Kilix muttered quietly.
Within a few seconds, his suspicions were confirmed, as the whirlwind stopped and Falkan stood, in a new form. He powered down quickly, and started talking to his steed. "No, my friend. It's okay. That energy belongs to our small furry friend. I guess he got lonely and is looking for company now. There's probably not many places left thanks to the Saiyans. It's okay, let him come. I think I'm ready to get off this mountain and fight anyway.”
Taking this as a que, Kilix quickly scaled the last stretch of mountain between him and Falkan. “That’s good. We need all the hands we can get…”

"Yeah that is true Catman" Rizuk yawned from a high point on the mountain. He leapt down and landed neatly on the ground, he stretched his arms and yawned widely. He swung his arms down and scratched his nose nonchalently "Sorry about that, Falkan. I was a little... well, preoccupied" He decided telling them that he'd had a guilt trip about dooming Dragonia by not acting quick enough was probably classified as over-share by the authourities. He rolled his arm up and the bones snapped into place as it went up. He was stiff, he looked at Falkan and said "I take it you've mastered transforming? As the only one apart from me whose shown any degree of competence I assumed you'd get that done, Revel. Oh, sorry Catman, I don't know your name. Not that I'll call you by it mind, its just a formality" Rizuk was rude but this was probably a bit far. He indicated Kilix dismissively and looked out over Bedoe, he was always a little put out in cold places. As a Dragon he prefered hot climates and contrary to popular belief he despised caves as lairs. He's much rather have a big field as his domain. He returned his attention to the two of them and said "Right, assault time. I'll need a lift but we're going to Parmecia. We need to take back the place or help any rebels. Unless you can fly us to their base, Catman?"

This creature that was now reffering to him as "Catman" was beginning to annoy Kilix. That was putting it lightly, KGB seemed like a perfectly acceptable being compared to this guy. Looking at him with a glare of distain, Kilix began;
"My name's Kilix Gyro. Don't need yours, Scales." Kilix said, keeping to his reigeme of a new personality per person. He turned his attention back to Falkan.
"My scans indicated that the main build-up of Saiyan warriors was in Parmecia. Bedoe and Lavertia have relativly little; it seems the invasion has not yet spread this far. We need to assemble as many warriors as possible to strike, and it wont be easy. Any suggestions?"

Rizuk blinked and looked at his pink skin, he looked exactly like a human, he was very proud of this form. "Will people stop calling me Scales? How do they even know" He shook his head to clear his thoughts, Dragons were meant to look like people with orange eyes in their disguises but his must be malfunctioning since everyone and anyone saw through it. He looked at Kilix and said slowly "OK, new deal, I won't call you Catman if you never, ever repeat the name Scales. The other upshot is I won't fry your backside either. Y'know, exceptionally good deal. Anyway" Rizuk waved a hand dismissively "I know how we can get through this whole shebang much easier. Gyro, unless I'm very much mistaken( which I never am), is good with machines. SO, you can help me by building some kind of cloaking device or a means to amplify my fire. Revel, is a highly skilled warrior who may even be as good as me, gosh darnit Falkan thats the nearest I've ever come to giving someone a compliment so you'd best take it well. And I, Rizuk Ryujin, Spawn of Chaos Rizuk the Primeval cosmic force and a hero-worshipping idiot, can breathe frickin fire. Between us, we can re-claim some land easy. So lets get to work, we'll meet others as we go" Rizuk was old, and a pretty good strategist as a result.

Evidently the deciding vote had fallen to Reval. Go to search out other fighters, or begin the assault and pick up help along the way? Both plans had merit, strengths as well as weaknesses. So it came down to personal preference.
Ignoring the entire conversation that had taken place thus far, Falkan picked up his several hundred pound cloak, shook the snow and ice off of it, and threw it around himself.
"I agree we may well need more help before this is over, Kilix, but the longer we wait, the more harm the invaders will do. We must start the attack now. Drive them back. If we raise enough ruckus, help will come. Along with higher ranking Saiyans. Eventually, if any of us survives long enough, we can cut this filfth off at the source."
Without waiting for a response, he nodded to Vi'drek, who mounted to the sky and began a sweeping arc. The seemingly meaningless move proved to be wise. From somewhere in the valleys below, a ki blast surged up toward the bird. Vi'drek rolled sideways and avoided the blast at the last second, then streaked downward and out of sight. Less than a second later, a scream echoed off the cliffs and mountains of Bedoe, then silence reclaimed the land.
On the peak, no one said anything for a few moments. Falkan answered the unspoken question of his comrades matter-of-factly:
"He's hungry."
A few awkwards moments later, and Vi'drek reappeared, first soaring upward, then levelling off coming straight for the three on the peak.
"If anyone needs a ride, you'd best jump...now."
The next second, Vi'drek passed over where the three had been standing and flapped upward with at least one passenger on his back.

From the ground, Pravent saw a large shadow flying around above him. He knew there were some others on the mountain. he had watched them all arive. The war on Dragonia had mostly been a form of entertainment for the Victryean Android, but he could tell that if the invading army wasn't stopped, the show would be over soon. And he didn't think that three measly warriors and a bird could do a whole lot to stop an entire army.
But he could. So while the three talked about their plan, Pravent flew up to their place and landed quietly and listened. He liked the final decision and stepped forward while the bird was away.
"If you fools think you have any hope for stopping the enemys army, you have another thing coming. Unless you let me help, you don't have a chance."
He crossed his arms and waited to see if they would accept his help.

If we raise enough ruckus, help will come. Along with higher ranking Saiyans. Eventually, if any of us survives long enough, we can cut this filfth off at the source."
Kilix simply nodded as the decision had been made. The chip lodged in his brain activated, as a message was sent to the small sunbathing robot in Alundrea. Get the others KGB, tell them to come to Parmecia. With no mental reply, Kilix simply hoped the robot had some use left in him.
As the great beast that was Vi'drek descended on the group, as blast of Ki from the depths of the mountains sent him swirling down, in search of it's source. Kilix knew all to well what a beast like that was capable of, but Falkan confirmed his suspisions almost like the answer to a spoken question;
"He's hungry."
Kilix, again, nodded in response. When Vi'drek reappeared on the scene, jaws strewn with a crimson stain, Kilix simply looked up at the magnificent creature.
"If anyone needs a ride, you'd best jump...now."
"No thanks," came Kilix's automatic response, "I'd like to keep a sense of control..." It was then that the new warrior appeared on the scene; this caught Kilix slightly by surprise, although his face did not show it. The lack of a distinct energy signal gave the idea that this newcomer was an Android.
"If you fools think you have any hope for stopping the enemys army, you have another thing coming. Unless you let me help, you don't have a chance."
"Really? Well then you obviously havn't seen me in action," Kilix said sharply, keeping to his routine. He looked dreamily out to the ocean, the white waves braking against the desolate cliffs of Bedoe; This was the last moment of peace Kilix would witness for quite some time.
"Right then," he began, feet already lifting off the ground with a small gush of air, "Last one to alive is a rotten egg."
The last sight of Kilix Gyro from Bedoe that day was the wind blowing through his fur as he blasted across the ocean. His destination; Parmecia.
